I rate my overall experience 4 stars. I also rated each area separately (accommodations, customer service, activities and food). I will start with the accommodations. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the Hill Cottages (after taxes, etc the nightly rate was $2000). The cottage (see pictures) was luxurious and spacious. The large bedroom has a king bed and the mattress is comfortable. The linens were well cleaned and soft. The cottage had two wood-burning fireplaces. The bathroom had a heated floor and a shower large enough to fit two adults comfortably. There was a separate soaking tub. The room had three tv's (including one in the bathroom). The room had a stocked pantry (M&M's, kettle chips, etc). All items in the pantry (a wooden box) are complimentary. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary organic apple and cranberry juice and bottled (8 oz.) Sprite and Coke. The freezer was stocked with free ice cream bars. The beer/wine is enjoyed for an extra cost.

Customer service - everyone at Blackberry Farm is well-groomed, well-mannered and pleasant. House cleaning kept our cottage clean and fresh. Most our questions were promptly and fully answered. On one occasion, I asked if the honey in the gift shop is 100% pure and raw or just pure (there is a difference). The woman in the gift store said she does not know the difference and advised me to assume the honey is pure, not raw. I was disappointed given Blackberry Farm's farm-to-table approach, and I was shocked the woman in the gift shop did not know much about the products sold there. Another point of disappointment was that the pantry and mini-fridge are supposed to get re-stocked daily. Our pantry and mini-fridge were not re-stocked until we called and asked for that service. These points of concern may seem petty, though keep in mind our nightly rate of $2,000. No one should have to ask about re-stocking the pantry and/or mini-fridge. Also, all personnel should be fully knowledgeable about Blackberry Farm's products.

Activities are costly, and oftentimes I felt the activities were overpriced. I had a sub-par experience at the Wellhouse. A mani only is about $100 after gratuity. In the large city I live in, I get a mani and a pedi for $60. This manicure was by far the worst I have had. The attached photos speak for themselves. My French tips looked like they were painted on by an untrained manicurist (possibly even a 7 year old). Additionally, my cuticle was cut. At $100 for a manicure only, I should walk away knowing I just had the best manicure ever. I did not opt for a pedicure, and I am glad I saved myself the disappointment and discomfort.
We joined a small group for the Taste of the Farm Tour. The tour was educational and fun, though we were led to believe we would taste the farm. We tried one beer, two types of cheeses, and one small bite of preserves. This was hardly the tasting we expected. We cut back on breakfast to make room for this tour, and we should have had much more to eat at breakfast because the Taste of the Farm Tour was really a nibble of the farm. The tour is supposed to end in the wine cellar of The Barn, though our tour ended in the garden house. Unfortunately, we never saw the wine cellar. If the price per person was adjusted to $35-45, I would have been more pleased.
We enjoyed in-cottage massages. The massages were relaxing and much needed. The professionals were kind and generous, a recurring theme among the Blackberry Farm professionals. For a relaxing, 60-minute massage, I felt the price was reasonable.
We also took a carriage ride around the Farm. The sights were beautiful. This activity, however, is also overpriced. It is advertised as a 60-minute ride, though ours took about forty minutes. You do not see much more of the Farm than what you see riding around on your golf cart. The guide was delightful and helped keep us in a grateful mood despite the steep price. Our total cost was about $6,500 for a two night stay with these activities.

The first meal was one of the best ever (dinner at the Main House). The food was complimented with impeccable service. We mentioned how much we loved an item, and the chef sent out a small mason jar of it to take home! Formal dinner at The Barn was good, not great (they should offer filet mignon instead of hanger steak and some items were too salty). All meals from dinner on the first day to lunch on the last are included in the room price. We had one hiccup during brunch. When we finished our meals, the waitress let our plates sit for over fifteen minutes without filling drinks or showing us the dessert menu. We were tight on time, so this was an inconvenience. The couple sitting next to us received their desserts first and they sat down ten minutes after us. We had to ask where our waitress went.
