Solid 4.5 stars overall. My coworker and I were in the area for a work meeting and as I was searching for places to eat, came across this place that Guy Fieri has been to. It looked so good and just happened to be right next to where we were staying - Jasper hotel. My favorite part is their crust. I love that it's crisp, thin yet holds up really well. I like the woodfire Smokey char too. For the table we ordered the apple sausage and Hawaiian. The favorite was the Hawaiian. The Apple sausage was good, I liked it but coworker didn't care for the apples we were told this was the pizza Guy Fieri ordered. Service was wonderful- fast, efficient, friendly and informative. I would recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. It's not that expensive either! Esp since we come from SoCal where something like this would cost about $30 vs the $18. Oh yes we also got the bread place and Mediterranean meatballs. I loved the flat bread most. Meatballs had great flavor but the rice inside was undercooked. read more

I loved the stone, cozy vibe of the restaurant, and we got to sit at a table with a perfect view of the pizzas going into the brick oven, such a cool touch! The menu is simple and straight to the point (which I personally love, especially when I'm hungry and don't want to flip through endless pages). Food did not meet expectations even the appetizer we got was not good could have made better at home. Cost build your own 3 topping pizza costed me $24 for a 12" pizza that I wish I would have gotten a pizza from Casey's gas station that had more flavor. Crust maybe fresh that was OK and sauce has no flavor and the meat toppings are not homemade fresh that's for sure. I will not recommend this place to anyone. First time here to celebrate my son's 19th birthday at his college town. I ordered the wedge salad and it was really good. Our family of 6 ordered a variety of Woodfire pizzas ranging from lumberjack with fried eggs, Canadian bacon, wild mushroom, and what I ordered a cheeky pepperoni. Blackbird Woodfire was not bad. I got the Sausage Apple pizza and it was pretty good but I wasn't really a fan of the Granny Smith apples on the pizza. We got that pizza because Guy Fieri recommended it. The service was amazing though. Our waiter was very nice and respectful to us. Plus the place is in a very cute little town surrounded by beautiful restaurants but it was in Downtown Fargo but the environment was pretty nice. I yelp searched Blackbird Woodfire, and was impressed with the 4 stars it had received. Because of this, I set off in search for this establishment, and eventually found it. Because of the road construction that is currently ongoing on the street in front of the restaurant, it took some navigational work. When you enter the establishment, you are greeted with a rustic style seating area. When you sit down, the menu explains how the decor is termed "Dakota-Cana" where the rustic brick and reclaimed wood is implemented with the Great Plains art and decor. I also admired that the owner utilizes local producers/co-ops for their menus items. The Wedge Salad was Romaine hearts, smoked bacon, crumbled gorgonzola, roasted tomatoes, walnuts, & house made gorgonzola dill dressing..with a balsamic reduction drizzle. For $5, This was amazing! I definitely recommend it. The marinated olives were a plate of House marinated Mediterranian olives with garlic and herbs, and side of warm flatbread and Lavash crackers. I loved it for $6. My main course was the Specialty, Asparagus pizza with a Béchamel sauce, red onions, nuts/seeds, shallots, and lemon. Admittedly, I was disappointed in my choice. I ordered this pizza, excited for the ingredients to come together (as explained) as it combined with the Béchamel and wood fired crust. However, when I bit into my first bite, everything was drowned out by the overwhelming bitter and sour lemon. I did not attempt another slice. The Blue crush pizza was outstanding. The Garlic infused olive oil, parmesan and gorgonzola cheese, red onion, walnuts, roasted grapes & fresh rosemary came together in every bite. First you get the aromatic rosemary, pungent Gorgonzola , hearty onions and garlic, all has a great kick, while the sweetness of the roasted grapes tones it down to a pleasureful bite. I did enjoy this more than my lemon specialty pizza. I gave blackbird Woodfire 3 stars, but it definitely has great options. I am open to 4 stars, if my next visit isn't soured by my first pizza bite. read more

We waited on a bench and thankfully two tables cancelled their reservation so we got a table in 10 minutes with no reservations. I did some research on casual restaurants to check out while staying the weekend downtown. We wanted a variety of restaurants that had good food and were walkable from The Jasper. I stumbled upon this restaurant and put it on the list. It was all going to depend on what type of food we felt like if we'd check this place out. We had spent the afternoon shopping so a quick and easy dinner was our plan. Woodfired Pizza sounded great that night! We walked in and the aroma was amazing! The staff was happy, they were smiling & were attentive to all customers. Our waitress, which I think was possibly the manager was AMAZING! She didn't miss a beat. We ordered a bottle of wine, Proveletta as an app and a pizza. The app came out quick and was served in a mini cast iron pan that kept the heat in. I loved the presentation. It was served with a hard crusty bread. She suggested putting the bread pieces in the cheese to soften them up. If you love ooey, gooey cheese order this app. Pizza was up next and we devoured it!
