We came to hear the live music and sit outside. I appreciate that the staff rearranged the sun umbrellas so we weren't baking in the sun. Brunch food was all delicious in our party of 9 everyone enjoyed their dishes. I got the bird and egg sandwich. They fries are like a wide natural cut type , great for dipping in sauces. Nice, friendly local place that has a nice variety of food options, including salads. The hostess was really nice and the service was friendly, but could have been more responsive in checking in. I had to ask for water and it wasn't that crowded. Nonetheless, I did get my meal exactly as I had requested since I generally want to customize my salads. I would consider going back whenever I'm in the area. Nothing really stood out as distinctive and a $38 salad, particularly because of the salmon does seem a little expensive. read more

A cozy, elevated diner in Stratford, CT. If you are participating in dry January, they have a new mocktail menu that offers some sweet options, but also have a full bar. Plenty of parking and a large menu ranging from burgers to pasta. For the appetizers, I enjoyed their loaded tater tots and French onion soup. The soup was so cheesy and delicious, would definently go back just for this honestly. I really enjoyed it. For entrees, I went with the shrimp and pasta as well as the short rib tacos. This restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The outdoor patio was gorgeous. I really liked the service felt welcoming. Food was good I really enjoyed the calamari seafood was fresh and the sweet chili sauce was good. For entrees I got the Mac n cheese and sweet chili salmon. Both were good but I did think missing a little something. The dessert was the real show stopper I loved the brownie with a scoop of ice cream. Would definitely come back to try more items read more

Stopped in for dinner and had attentive service the whole meal. The inside is spacious with a small bar, some booths and traditional tables and a few tvs. Sadly, I wasn't impressed with the food. I ordered a smash burger which had a soggy bun and lacked flavor. The beef tallow tater tots were good and rich. I do not normally review unless the experience was great but my wife and I went to dinner here and it was horrible. The hostess had a sour puss on her face before we walked in the door and could not be ant ruder when I tried to talk to her for our reservation. We sat and the waiter "Luka" came to us took our drink order and we ordered apps. The apps came Fried Calamari- I understand no one makes it fresh anymore but it tasted freezer burnt and was cold. We had one bite each and sent it back. We ordered the SW Chicken Eggrolls which were rushed and still cold. We were so hungry we ate them anyway. When the main courses came my wife ordered Rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe. I ordered Asian Flank Steak "rare" hers looked good and it was. Mine on the other hand was cooked over well, the asparagus was heavily salted and burnt, I must say the Jasmine Rice was perfect. The best part of the meal was the beer. when we asked Luka to speak to the manager , well the manager could not be bothered. We have eaten here 5 -6 times but will not give them one more dime. We were comped 1 drink each and the calamari we sent back. I actually felt bad for Luka, he was great. All go there for drinks and not the food if this is how it is going to be. This establishment was meant to be a diner and they have decided that a live band 4 - 5 nights a week is fine for the neighboring homeonwers. Anyone who thinks they are wonderful would not think so if this were the case in their back yard. The music is loud and annoying. Think of trying to relax in your home while not being able to even have your windows open due to the noise. Jim the owner is a very offensive man and is only concerned with making money. He can not accomadote the crowd that is drawn and many people park at the Marriott accross the street. How long will it be before someone is hurt or killed walking across Hawley Lane at a point where there are no crosswalks or safe places to cross. They stopped advertising as the 'best outdoor bar in ct' late last year becaue the outdoor bar is called an outdoor table. Shame on you Jim, I came to wish you well before you opened and all you did was complain that the Town of Straford did not want to allow you to have outdoor seating for your 'diner'. We were a group of 15 for lunch on a rainy Thursday. The restaurant was so accommodating, setting up a large table so we could dine together. The menu offered many choices. The food was well prepared; portions were ample and everyone was happy. Our server, Patty, was amazing. Our group had a wonderful time and we certainly plan to return. Been 4-5x, because we Live close and wanted this place to be great. Outside atmospheric is great. Inside is clean and bright. Drinks gave been good. Main meals are hit/miss. Meatloaf was great. Ribs, unedible. Couldn't cut them with a knife. Brunch... Hash/eggs, not good. The hash real cornbeef but was grey in color and very salty. Pancakes ok. Omelet was ok. Came out late so the swiss cheese in the omlete was solidified. Onion soup was good. Hot dog was enormous, overfilled and hard to rate/eat because of that. Some people may like that. Watermelon feta salad was ok. Chicken sandwich was again to big and sloppy to eat easily. Chicken was good. Service has been hit/miss. Everyone is very nice, but at times understaffed. We waited 35+ min after water for next contact and food. The chef ended up bringing the food out. read more

We came here twice during the time we were staying at the Marriott across the street. The salads were very fresh and there were a lot of options. Service was great the first day and okay the second. There was live music which is a great and a great patio. There are a lot of food options for all parts of the day and vegetarian options that are good. My wife and I had eaten here shortly after it opened and the food was pretty good and thought we would return if we were in the area again. Today we stopped in and ordered an appetizer and two Arnold palmers and two meals. The appetizer was some sort of Texas eggroll. Absolutely bland grey meat with ketchup drilled over the top. Couldn't even finish it. For our meals we got skirt steak tacos and a Chicago steak sandwich. You could not take a bite of the tacos without getting a mouthful of rubber band-like fat. Had to abandon them after 2 bites. As for the Chicago beef sandwich; it was dry as can be cafeteria steak-um with what tasted like a dry can of veggies poured on top. The waitress asked how everything was and we explained how the taco meat was awful and she said she would talk to the manager/owner. The talk was about 4 minutes long before she went over and they took it off the bill. Looking at the bill and we saw that they charged us for 4 Arnold palmers(no free refills apparently) which was SIXTEEN dollars. More than likely he told the waitress to charge us for those to make up for his loss on the bad tacos. Our waitress was a sweetheart so we still tipped her good, otherwise this was not a good experience. Will not return. Hopefully these bad reviews will help them do better but judging by the other bad reviews, the owner doesn't seem to give a shit. read more

From the outside this looks like a pub. When you walk in, it's more of a diner feel. We went for breakfast and ordered omelets. My daughter said it tasted like an omelet you would get at a free hotel buffet. I didn't eat mine. Something tasted wrong about it. Love this place! My family and I have gone a good handful of times since they opened and I swear they keep getting better and better. The first thing that stands out is the customer service. The staff is very attentive. The owner makes you feel at home by checking in on your table. There hasn't been one visit where I haven't gotten a check in from the owners! I've never been to a place that is that attentive. The food is amazing as well! They often incorporate different special menu items. My family is pretty picky and the menu definitely has something to offer for everyone. My daughter says the Mac and cheese is the best she's had. My son is gluten free and we find that they have a lot of GF options. I personally love the porchetta sandwhich. Husband loves the meatloaf and gets it almost every time we come. The fries are also some of the best we have eaten! Definitely worth trying out! They're amazing and for a new restaurant, they're really killing it! We tried their Sunday brunch which was delicious. I was happy to see gluten free options too. The space is lovely. Spotlessly clean. Wait staff were so nice and efficient. We met the owner who was so friendly and kind. He even gave us a tour of their new igloo heated outside dining options. It's a really cute space. We can't wait to go back and try lunch and dinner! I ordered an entree shrimp tacos which served 3 tacos. To my surprise, they put ONE shrimp in each taco. ONE SHRIMP!! I would say that's beyond cheap. Waitress was doing double duty behind bar and waiting tables. We were a party of six, 3 in the party ordered sirloin strip steaks, 1 ordered skirt steak. Order came with 4 strip steaks, waitress was told and knew yes she made the mistake and asked what we would like to do, we asked for correct steaks, 1 person said they would keep skirt steak. She never removed the unwanted food, she came back about 15 minutes later and asked if we would like to keep the steaks, said no but she was insisting we should just take, she brought box for one steak, the other plate sat there and after waiting half hour for correct steaks to arrive some potatoes were picked off the plate as she still never removed the plate. When bill came she told us we were being charged for all of the steaks that she brought to table . She said if we didn't pay for them she would have to pay and that was managers policy! My son paid for bill and did not want any issue made and insisted we just drop it and leave He paid cash and also left good tip. We never even took the wrapped steak with us. Manager never came to table over mixup and nowhere to be seen or would have discussed ! read more
