They definitely take full advantage of the amazing waterway view on their multilevel terrace with various plantings and whimsical wood carved fixtures. The cafe has a variety of both outdoor and indoor seating. Welcoming counter service. There's breakfast and lunch menu items, baked goods, and coffee/tea service. I decided to hang out onsite with the warmed, tasty vanilla scone and well crafted, spring inspired 12oz mocha. A few folks were on laptops, rest were there for lunch and lively convo. It was also good to see upbeat camaraderie among the cafe staff. Always a treat to stop by an indie cafe that provides pleasant service, decent food/bev selections, seating for lingering, and an amazing view!

There is outside seating that has a nice atmosphere where you can't really see the street at all. We had iced lattes, which were pretty good. They have almond milk. Our drinks were made pretty quickly. There was one person that ordered ahead of us and we got our drinks in about 5 minutes.

My wife's cinnamon latte needed the milk to dilute the cinnamon, but my coconut one was great with the minimal milk. Since they're new, I'm sure it's just something they're working out. The staff was really nice and quick to make drinks. We had our dogs with us and they were given two pup cups for being good boys. I'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu. The coffee was good and I'm excited to try different variations.

Wandered the entire length of the retail shop...well appointed seating, some new but mostly used book titles, counter to order menu items, a pocket bar, nooks for seating, try out a manual typewriter, make buttons, or play the piano. Did not buy anything, but thumbed through a French Canadian dictionary from 1958, and enjoyed the fascinating vibe while onsite.

There were many delicious-looking flavored drinks on the menu, but unfortunately they were all served iced, and I was in the mood for a hot drink. The staff recommended the Einspanner, which was very foamy and delicious. We enjoyed the Avocado Toast, which was loaded with fresh ingredients. However, we found it a little too oily, as both the vegetables and the bread were coated with quite a bit of oil. We also thought the Morning Sandwich, with its perfectly melted cheese, was a great value. They are currently running a promotion where you can purchase a $50 gift card for $45, and you can use it immediately. We will definitely be back to use the remaining balance on our gift card. One thing to note is that there is a 3% surcharge for credit card payments. Parking was free on the street, and it wasn't difficult to find a spot.
