I had seen the Red Cup Cafe before coming from or heading to the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry terminal to Whidbey Island in the past. I finally had the opportunity to check it out (3/2/26). I was not able to get one of the angled parking slots adjacent to the cafe, but found a 4 hour spot near their conference center and fire station down the street. They definitely take full advantage of the amazing waterway view on their multilevel terrace with various plantings and whimsical wood carved fixtures. The cafe has a variety of both outdoor and indoor seating. Welcoming counter service. There's breakfast and lunch menu items, baked goods, and coffee/tea service. I decided to hang out onsite with the warmed, tasty vanilla scone and well crafted, spring inspired 12oz mocha. A few folks were on laptops, rest were there for lunch and lively convo. It was also good to see upbeat camaraderie among the cafe staff. This is a really cute coffee shop with a nice view. Even on a rainy day, the view is pleasant. It is decorated in an eclectic way, with some interesting signs. The only big downside for me is that there isn't any comfortable seating. This is definitely a place that you could come work, or talk with a friend. But, if you want to sit and read for a while, it might not be very comfortable. There are hard chairs and benches. Then there was one stuffed dining chair but it was not very comfortable. There is outside seating that has a nice atmosphere where you can't really see the street at all. We had iced lattes, which were pretty good. They have almond milk. Our drinks were made pretty quickly. There was one person that ordered ahead of us and we got our drinks in about 5 minutes. read more

Everything you could want from a Pacific Northwest coffee shop. This spot sits near the Mukilteo Lighthouse and tends to be a frequently visited spot by those taking the nearby ferry. They serve all your go-to caffeinated beverages, as well as a number of speciality drinks to keep your visits exciting. During my most recent trip I ordered the chai latte and their mushroom quiche. Fun fact about me: I devour quiche.. and this happens to be one of the best I've ever tried. There's a large indoor space with seating, as well as outdoor spots under tree coverage for those rare sunny days. I could sit on their patio and watch their ferries for hours. The food here is pretty good, but they won me over with the location and service. It's just up the road from the Mukilteo Lighthouse and on a nice day, it's hard to beat having breakfast and coffee here. This is evident by the crowd. But even while busy, the service is great. You're never rushed, they are helpful and serve you up with a great attitude and smile which only add more to the elite vibes. read more

Popped in for lunch and i had the egg salad sandwich again , very tasty but there was so much on the bread it kept squeezing out and making a mess. But yummy! Had tomato soup that was very good. Husband had turkey with cream cheese and green chilies. His sandwich was very thin, not enough turkey and cream cheese and too much sweet chile. Chicken and chile soup was just ok, thick and not a lot of flavor. But love the setting! read more

We came on a Monday holiday in Jan around 2pm. It was full indoors, with a couple people sitting outside. The staff was amiable- greeted us when we came in, took our order and were pretty efficient/quick to deliver the coffees we ordered. They provide 5G WiFi. There is a lovely view from the premises, but unfortunately there was a large red canopy outside which obscured the view from those inside. On a nice sunny day like today, it would be nice if the canopy was folded! The interior vibe is pretty rustic. It kinda reminds me of grandma - to some it feels cozy and homey. To others, maybe a bit traditional and dated. There are ample food options for breakfast and lunch, although we didn't try this time. All in all, this might be a laid back spot to visit during the summer when it's warm enough to sit outside. read more

I've been here a couple of times and so far I love it! I always order the Caesar wrap and somehow I always forget that it's huge lol. Next time I will remember to share with a friend. They use fresh vegetables and it's a 8/10, I just wish they would use a little bit more of dressing but I'm sure they can accommodate and give extra on the side and that's a personal preference (im not sure if it would be extra so don't quote me) anyways. The ambiance is very cozy and you're minutes always from the beach. The views from here is incredible. I have yet to try their coffee so I cannot say much on the drinks. The service was top tier. Where do I start! It was a lovely summer day: flowers everywhere, winding garden trails, the smell of the August in the air, early morning breeze, perfect for brunch on a shaded patio. That's exactly what this place has. Guy at the counter was friendly and helped me order since there were plenty of options and it was my 1st time in. Breakfast/brunch options were classics. I did the bagel sandwich and hubby did the croissant sandwich. He did iced coffee and I did the iced peach tea. Classic and yummy! To top off this delightful morning, the servers also gave our dogs a fresh bowl of water! Too kind! We will be back and I have already told 2 coworkers about this place. read more

This little cafe is so cute cozy inside and outside! It is in a great location by the water and ferry. I walked around here with my dog and stopped by to get a light lunch. I sat outside under the sun with my dog, and there was another dog nearby as well! I see people here often just simply getting coffee or doing their work. I had a wholesome soup and sandwich with some chips. Everything tasted really authentic and gave homemade vibes. The staff was so kind and friendly, which completed our experience! I'd love to return again and looking forward to more visits especially during the summertime! read more

Incredibly rude staff member. My three-year-old son had a couple seashells from the beach that he was wiping off with water and a staff member took the cup ( with maybe 2 inches of water in it)from him with the shells and dumped the water out. I was with him the whole time, she did not acknowledge me. If she would have asked me to have him stop that would be reasonable but scolding my child and taking something for him is inappropriate and scary for a child. Coffee was good, sandwich was overpriced and not impressive. Barely any meat on the sandwich, veggies were fresh. $24 for an iced latte and a mostly veggie turkey sandwich, wouldn't recommend. read more

Cute breakfast place near Mukilteo beach. The ladies there were super friendly and had great service. We came about 8:15am and they ran out of bagels so those must be very popular. We got an iced caramel macchiato, iced hazelnut latte, and a ham and cheese croissant. The lattes were good, but the croissant was just okay; I think if I had a good sauce to pair with it, it would be tastier. Drinks were about $9 each and the sandwich was about $11. The outdoor seating is so pretty with the flowers and such a treat on a nice day. Parking is limited on the side of the building, but if you drive past through to the street, there's also street parking available. Cute place, would recommend. read more

The staff was super friendly, but unfortunately the espresso was burnt and the iced coffee tasted like old drip that had just been chilled. We couldn't even finish it and ended up tossing it I was excited when I saw they had a Nuova Simonelli machine, but it seems like the baristas might not be fully trained on how to use it properly. read more

This place was packed on a Saturday morning! We found seats right away and watched the line go out the door. Once the line got short we got up to grab food. Tip: show up and chat for a while, find a table, and once the line is short hop in for a snack! Love the decor and ambiance, and the nearby shops are fun to visit to. Ice cream shop around the corner. Highly recommend! The workers are very friendly and smiley, too. Glad to visit for the first time and will definitely be back. Red Cup Cafe is a quiet, cozy place to get a sandwich and coffee near the water. I shared a whole tuna sandwich, cup of clam chowder, and half Caesar salad with another person. The food doesn't disappoint, but it's also nothing amazing. Half the tuna salad sandwich filled me up. There was a good portion of tuna salad in it. The clam chowder was rich, a little salty (in a good way!), and clammy. The Caesar salad was standard. Seeing the clam chowder in a literal cup/mug made me smile. The staff person was very nice and suggested that they could heat up the tuna salad sandwich for us like a melt, since we were hesitant about getting it at first as a cold sandwich. read more

This is a cozy spot I go to when I needed to change the vibe. I do work partially online/from home, but it gets "old" sometimes, and Red Cup is usually my first choice when I'm needing to get out of the house. The space is cozy and homey, and the coffee is just great I also found that their food options include a half sandwich and a small bag of chips, which is perfect for a mid-day meal as I was working and didn't need the food coma. Parking can be tricky since the spots in the alley right next to it gets filled up rather quickly and can be a bit tight if you drive a bigger vehicle, but street parking is also available, I believe, in the surrounding area. I usually get there fairly early so it wasn't usually a problem. It can get pretty crowded around mid day too, but it seemed like a local crowd just needed a place to socialize. So if you're working on your computer, noise-cancelling headphones works wonderfully. And sometimes this also means the smaller tables weren't available when I arrived alone; but I always share my bigger table with others if more people started to come it. Cafe (inside) is small and noisy so if you're looking for quiet this isn't the place. Perhaps with better weather you can sit outside for more conversation. We are staying close by at an Airbnb and experiencing Mukilteo for the first time. We decided to support a local business and not Starbucks and we are so happy that we did. The staff member met us with enthusiasm and was very helpful in narrowing down our many choices. We settled on two coffees, one kids chocolate steamer, breakfast bacon egg bagel and chocolate croissant. The staff member even brought it out to our table for us. Such a cute little cafe!! I live up the street and have been meaning to try this place out. What really sets this cafe apart from the others is the local, homey vibes that this place gives off and the spectacular view of Mukilteo beach. The outdoor seating is absolutely gorgeous and it feels like you've entered a different world. Coffee was pretty good! Absolute gem of a cafe and the employees make it all the better! I have been in town working remote and the employees at this adorable cafe have been so kind. I spent 6 hours here every day for 4 days and wish I lived here so i could come every day. The drinks are awesome! Highly reccomend the iced tea. If you are looking for something fun, the creamsicle drink is similar to an orange julius and delicious. The bagels are top notch quality, definitely try their bagel breakfast sandwhich. If you love coffee and artisanal sandwiches then this is your cafe! We decided to go for a drive down to Mukilteo since the weather was beautiful. I really needed some fresh ocean air with a nice view. On our way down to the beach, we saw the sign for the cafe and since we were both deprived of coffee, we stopped to give it a try! Parking was very easy to find and the cafe is very popular as it was very crowded. The outdoor space had many places to sit along with umbrellas for shade. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and a rosemary and chive bagel with cream cheese. My bf tried their iced vanilla toddy and breakfast croissant. We found a lovely table outside and the service was amazing as they brought your order to your table! The coffee was really really good and the food was superb!
