Long story short, USAA changed its decision and agreed to pay out for a new roof, saving me $15k. USAA was very non-responsive and difficult but Robert kept pressing over six months until we got them to act. Then when it was time to replace the roof, his team did an excellent and professional job under a tight timeline. Robert and KPost will definitely get my business in the future. They worked with our insurance company and coordinated everything. The lead rep from Spectrum (Jordan Justice) even came out when our insurance inspector came to do the actual inspection to see how much damage was done to the roof to see how much needed to be repaired or if the entire roof needed to be replaced. He met with the inspector and discussed the damages etc. Jordan went the extra mile throughout the entire process and we really have appreciated it. You don't get that kind of customer service much anymore. He came by during the roof removal and install of the new materials, more than once, to make sure the roofing guys were doing everything the way we had agreed upon. He also followed up afterward and inspected the job. The roofing crew did an outstanding job! Spectrum Contracting had great sub-contractors. The roofing crew worked for over 14 hours on a hot summer day but got it done in 1 day. A few years ago, I had a leak in my roof with water coming through the laundry room ceiling, and…read moreinitially called the contractor who had installed it to get an estimate for repairs. The estimate seemed high and the scope of work seemed deliberately narrow - I was told that the dryer vent needed to be replaced and that there was "no way to know for sure" if that would actually stop the leak. So, I would need to keep an eye on things when it rained and call them back out if the leak persisted. Even though the company had a decent reputation, the rep seemed to be less than trustworthy, to be polite. I found Floyd Heggie Roofing on Yelp and decided to give him a call. I was immediately impressed! After his inspection of the leak inside and the roof, his opinion was that the dryer vent did not need to be replaced, rather the area around it needed to be sealed. As water can obviously do lots of traveling before finally leaking through, he could not say 100% for certain that the dryer vent area was the culprit, although it seemed likely. There were a few other vents in the general area, and his recommendation was to go ahead and seal all of those as well, on the off chance that the dryer vent wasn't the problem. His estimate was very reasonable (less than the other company, even excluding the unnecessary new vent) and the recommended work eliminated the problem, instead of potentially setting me up for repeated service calls. When I recently purchased a new home, the inspection uncovered a few roof related items. The seller said they could not find anyone to do the repairs, possibly due to the steep pitch, but I knew exactly who to call. Once again, Floyd came through and installed a new fresh air vent for the fireplace and a new dryer vent, as well as taking a good look at the roof overall. Floyd takes excellent care of his customers and it is evident that he takes pride in his work. I have already recommended him to several friends and will continue to do so.

They blamed everyone else instead of taking responsibility for the damages to my house. They blamed the gutters and they even tried to say the water damage was from the previous roof that was placed 5 years ago. I asked why they didn't fix it or at least tell me about the "water damage at the time they replaced the roof" and their response to me was "your insurance wouldn't have covered it." (That's because there was no damage when they replaced the roof) It would have been nice to know about it if it was in fact "already there". FYI my home inspector said the roof was structurally sound before the roof was replaced in February. Terrible customer service is all I can say and an expensive mistake on my part. I will not be using this roofing company ever again and anyone else thinking about using them should think twice!
