We were communicating while he was out of town and I would have gladly bought a car from him. Instead I bought a car from somebody who will say is just basically I got screwed. And Chris is going out of his way to help me even though we have never done business. That is such a rare quality that I can only hope that anybody with enough sense would see this and buy a car from him. He has been overwhelmingly supportive, offered his help as best he can wherever he can, and even stayed in touch just talking back and forth about how badly things have turned on for me with the purchase of the car I made from somebody on Craigslist who is also a wholesaler kind of guy. Anyway five stars aren't enough. I'm sure whatever products he have or quality products. But beyond that the integrity, the kindness, the actual caring far beyond what must anyone would be used to or think possible. In fact I'm trying to find a way to get rid of or get out of what I bought and get something from him. I begun telling everybody about him. Anybody looking for a car. Again what an incredibly beyond professional professional doesn't describe it because he's beyond professional what an incredibly kind thoughtful and helpful human being

(SERVICE CENTER)…read more Three Months for a Warranty Repair, Multiple Misdiagnoses, and My Car Was Returned Unsafe I brought my 2021 Toyota Supra GR A91 Edition to Fremont Toyota for warranty work because the vehicle could no longer measure its oil level. This is a well-documented issue on the A90/A91 Supra platform, with the oil pump being a known potential cause. My service advisor assured me they would take care of it. This was in Late May After diagnosing the car, they told me it only needed an oil level sensor. I approved the repair Early June. The replacement part took about three weeks to arrive, which I understand is outside the dealership's control. What was frustrating was the complete lack of communication. I never received a call or update when the part arrived. Every status update throughout this entire repair process came because I contacted them first. Once the repair finally started Mid June, another week passed with no communication. I called again and was told they had discovered another part was needed before they could continue. Again, no proactive update from the service department. Another week went by with complete silence, so I drove to the dealership unannounced just to find out what was going on. To my surprise, my car was already finished Early July and ready for pickup. No one had contacted me. Unfortunately, the repair did not fix the problem. The oil level still would not read correctly, so I had to bring the car back. During the second visit Early July, I asked if they could show me diagnostic data confirming the oil pump was operating correctly. They could not. I then borrowed a professional scan tool from a friend's shop and found an "abnormal oil pressure" fault code. I brought this information to Fremont Toyota, and they agreed to investigate further. After inspecting the vehicle, they told me the oil control valve had failed. I specifically asked if they were certain it was not the oil pump and whether they had verified the pump was functioning properly. They assured me the oil pump was fine and that only the control valve needed replacement. Two more weeks passed with no communication. Once again, I had to call them myself to learn the status. I was then informed that replacing the control valve had not resolved either the fault code or the original problem. Only after that unsuccessful repair did they conclude that the oil pump itself was faulty, which was one of the primary concerns from the beginning. Nearly three months after first dropping off my vehicle, the oil pump was finally replaced and the issue was resolved. Even then, I was never notified that the repair was complete. I had to contact the service center myself to ask whether my car was ready for pickup. Car was picked up Early August. I thought the experience was finally over until the following day, when I found a bolt on my garage floor. Concerned, I took the car to a trusted independent shop for an inspection and alignment. They discovered that the skid plate protecting the oil pan had not been properly reinstalled. Multiple fasteners were loose, and three bolts were completely missing. Had I continued driving, the skid plate could have detached while I was on the freeway. Waiting for warranty parts is understandable. Diagnosing a difficult problem is understandable. What is not acceptable is the repeated lack of communication, multiple misdiagnoses, requiring the customer to continually chase updates, and ultimately returning a vehicle with critical underbody panels left unsecured. The technicians eventually repaired the original issue, but the overall experience left me with very little confidence in the quality control and attention to detail. After almost three months without my car, I expected better communication, better diagnostics, and a final inspection that ensured the vehicle was actually safe to return to the customer.

During the original 90-day warranty, CarMax took care of several issues and made sure the car was properly sorted. What impressed me even more was how they handled concerns that surfaced much later. When my BMW specialist discovered additional issues during a recent service, I reached back out to CarMax. David and the Fremont service team listened to the situation, reviewed the history, and offered to help even though the original warranty had long since ended. I ultimately got MaxCare to cover the larger repair, saving CarMax that expense. CarMax still followed through on their willingness to help and provided goodwill assistance toward another repair my specialist identified. Used cars can develop unexpected issues. What matters is how a business responds when something goes wrong. CarMax Fremont listened, treated my concerns seriously, and worked with me toward a fair solution instead of looking for a reason to say no. Huge thanks to David and the service team for standing behind the car and taking care of me well after the sale. This experience gave me even more confidence in servicing with CarMax again. I'd absolutely recommend the Fremont location for any CarMax vehicle servicing!

Excellent communication, service, and timely replies. I received a significant discount on the OTD price, even when including the BuySide Auto fee. On top of that, I NEVER had to step into a dealership, talk to a salesperson directly, spend hours playing the "let me ask my manager" game, or have to talk to a Finance manager and repeatedly say NO to unnecessary options. All communication was easily done through email and text, although phone and in-person contact was also available. Process starts with completing a convenient online request. From there, Kim contacted me to fully understand my wishlist, range of optional requirements, and any non-negotiables. After reaching out to their dealer network, within a day she provided a list of potential matches with estimated OTD prices, which included some in SoCal available for transfer to the Bay Area and cars still in production with estimated availability dates. I had a lot of questions and some requests and Kim was very responsive and instrumental in relaying them to the dealer and advocating for me. Even my request to remove all dealer installed options was negotiated by Kim and granted by the dealer with no hassle on my end. I paid the BuySide Auto fee to reserve the car for purchase and when the car was available I opted to pickup at their office in SF. Home delivery to SF is also currently no charge, while delivery outside of the city is available with a modest fee. Upon first contact, I asked if weekend pickup or delivery was available, since their normal hours are on weekdays. Kim made note of it and remembered my preference even after the sale was completed. Chris was able to make himself available for Saturday pickup! We took a walk around the car took a look inside. We spent no more than 10 minutes reviewing and signing paperwork, received my keys, and I was off with my brand new car! Both Kim and Chris were great to work with and I have no hesitation in working with them again for future car purchases.

From my first conversation with Alexis, the experience was exceptional. She listened to exactly what we wanted and how we wanted the process to go. There was no pressure, no games, and no wasted time. She handled everything over the phone and online flawlessly and delivered on every promise she made. When my nephew arrived at the dealership, the Crosstrek was cleaned, fueled, and ready to go. Jamie in Finance was equally impressive, getting him through the paperwork and out the door in about 45 minutes. What really stood out was that the great service didn't stop with the sale. They gave him a fair value for his trade-in, accommodated his request for rubber floor mats and a Subaru pet carrier, and immediately ordered a replacement for the missing second key. The vehicle was also Subaru Certified Pre-Owned, which gave both of us tremendous peace of mind, and they even beat the interest rate offered by his credit union. I typically have a trusted contact whenever I buy a vehicle, but I didn't know anyone at this dealership. Alexis and Jamie exceeded every expectation. From the salesperson saying that the hidden component can house a "Glock-19 well" to the mention that the cup holders can be used for "drinking and driving". I wouldn't consider this establishment to be of the standard expected. My salesperson had told me that Apple CarPlay was on the vehicle and that the car was in great condition. Which it seems to be everything people have said until I left the establishment. But nonetheless, there was so much back and forth to the point where AlextheGM (guy on the billboard) had to come out and correct my first salesperson. It was awkward as a customer having to sit and watch him be mean and rough with him in front of me. I just felt as though I wasn't dealing with the nicest group of people. While in the background, a group of sales people were talking bad about customers who were having their cars serviced. Once we got all of this together and sorted, I went into the financial office. To which the finance manager was really nice to me. However, he said, "Your car is in great condition, you don't need any warranty," to which he decided to not offer me the option to choose a warranty. Which isn't illegal, however, given my story I believe that this would be intentional. After quite a few signings later, I had a "great condition, no need for warranty" car. As I was pulling off the driveway, I got a phone call from the salesperson saying that my car didn't have features he told me it had, like Apple Care Play. To which I was disappointed; I was told it did when it didn't. Deception or oopies it doesn't matter, that is unlawful. After a week, the trim of the car was flying off on the freeway, and the brakes since day one were warped to the point where it caused the car to swerve if going freeway speed. Also the car was missing wheel weights which made the steering scary to operate. So I returned the car to them, and they took the car for ten days and repaired it. Which I was thankful for and vocally told everyone at the dealership this. Than a week and a half, 27 days into owning this car, the engine decided to rattle the whole cab of the car when driving past 3000 rpm or idle. Once I told the dealership of this, they prompted me to get it towed from Oakland all the way to Fremont. Which I had to pay for. To which I arrived to a 20-min argument where I was being told that it was my issue now. This is where I dealt with Larry Diamond. Who made every part of my argument seemed as though it was my fault. Told me I was ignorant in law. Said that them repairing the breaks "was out of the kindness of there heart" when it really isn't. And told me I wanted a free engine, which I never mentioned. When I requested what type of service was done to the vehicle before they decided to sell it. He said he will not give me those records and that even if he did they would only show them paying a shop to service it. (I have this paper now and it clearly shows the breaks were serviced, when they really weren't) To which I questioned, because they didn't actually service the car themselves, an official Mazda dealership had someone else do the work. And every time I questioned his arguments I was met with "I didn't know what I was talking about". He then tried forcing me to agree to a free diagnostic, to which I would have to pay for repairs. I left and didn't agree to anything because I was sold an unsafe vehicle and all I asked was that my car be fully inspected like it should have been. So I drove it home rattling and all in tears. I came a second time and dealt with Larry again. To which he was really upset with my yelp review. Told me they wouldn't help unless I got rid of it. Called me "abnormal person" for sharing my experience. Even though I spoke 10 words max he got really defensive. There is a lot more, but these are the people you deal with coming here. So take it as you will. "Sell more cars, make more money"
