I came here and got my 2019 car front windows tinted. The owner lives in his business. He sleeps in a room adjacent to the waiting room and his shower is in the garage. He swears he is the best guy out there and that his work is the best because it's him tinting the windows and not some employee. Regardless, my car tint still has bubbles after 5 months. He takes the door panels off the car when tinting and ever since then my brand new car rattles when the volume on my music is too loud. Prices here are on par with all the other places so honestly just go somewhere else. Also, he says you can't watch him as he does the work... Okay, this location is located in a quiet not so busy area of Pomona. I had just purchased a new vehicle and found this location online. I was met by the owner, he is a really good "up seller", you will notice from the start but that goes with most businesses these days. Prices are higher than market value, this place is has no competitive prices so don't expect a discount. However the tint quality "material used" is really good - I did a little research. So for tint, this is a great place to get it done if you want bang for your buck. However, I also purchased brighter headlights. They were about 40% more than other places, but these are poor quality as I had to come back 4 times with issues. The owner does warranty all his work but you need to work around his schedule (bring it in when he wants and not when you have time) which is a real pain. read more

Heard really good things about this place so I decided to make an appointment over the phone to get my windows tinted on my car. The guy on the phone (forgot his name) told me to come in on Sunday at 10am. So Sunday morning I show up and notice they are closed. I decided to wait a few minutes I thought maybe they were running late and after about 45 minutes of waiting still nobody. I went home very disappointed :/ I just want to say thanks a lot for waisting my time and gas! This is the only place I will get my tint from from now on. The owner operator is very professional and goes the extra mile on his work you can tell he takes pride in his work manship. He stands behind his work and I had my tint for about 5 years and with no fading! File away your receipt you will need it for his warranty. My passenger side tint had scratch on the film and I went to get a cheap 20 dollar tint from some little shop in Santa Ana and the guy was like "who did you tint"?? I told him Black Out by my house in Pomona / La Verne area and he was very impressed he told me that this guy was very good who put it in that he went well below the door line and the cuts were clean. I rolled with that tint till able to get it replaced by Black Out again. The prices are very fair for the workman ship you get. Getting tint anywhere else is a wast of money. No visor strip can't do on mustangs. Dude is a total sales man. Price quoted was different from actual price. Used his services before don't remember all the sales man pitch. Seen a many air pockets. He said its water needs a chance to dry. Let's hope. Coupon is not good on all film only 65 percent film. Windows were tinted on Friday there are still air pockets/ bubbles. Called owner (as he said) he became angry as I expressed my concerns with the tint. He even asked me if I wanted him to send me information on tinting. Initially he told me to let the tint dry for 2 day and the bubbles/ pockets would go away as the tint needed to dry. Now he says give it 30 days in order for film to dry. I am giving it 30 days. Not happy. 5/23/16 The problems didn't fix themselves after 30days. OMG. This guy. Had an appointment today to get tint removed he was a no show. When I called and remained him his reply was "yeah" attitude from the start. By the way he offed to remove it and give me a refund. To which I gladly excepted but it didn't happen. I took off from work had a person to pick me up and he does not show and has an attitude when I call. The best part is that after I became angry and told him I will not deal with stupidity today it became my fault cause now I have an attitude. What? He told me that he was going to send a friend to get my key. What? I don't know the guy he sent. He called me back with attitude "what's going on lady" he exclaimed. He keep me on the phone going back and forth I ask him are you going to remove the tint or not. He said "take me to court". I will. Btw he told me he needed me to remove this post. Nope. So i had brought in a few of my cars to Blackout, even recommending it to family members in which they had also brought theirs for tinting. The guy does good work, even good stereo work. The problem i have is that the shop is randomly closed on any given day. Numerous times i have called to see if he'll be there and i show up and it's closed. What made me take my business elsewhere is that he installed HID lights in my car and he warrantied it for 5 years and basically sold me on it. Not even 6 months later i started having problems with the HIDs and he was hard to get a hold of to even look at them. After fixing it the first time about 2 months later (8 months after the initial installation) they went out again. He looked and it and said i needed a part which he didn't have in stock but would order. He took my information down to contact me (again). It's been a year and a half since he installed his POS HIDs and i still have not been contacted to this day. And so i went to another shop where they installed a better kit for half the cost. Have not had issues with my current HID kit. And I'm giving Blackout 2 stars because the tinting work is good. read more

This guy acts like you're bothering him when you call. Never commits to a precise time to drop your car and when you do show up the front door's usually locked and you're back to the phone game. After two strikes I went right down arrow hwy to La Verne, walked in to a place and got my work done for $10 less than this place quoted.
