I was a tad aggravated with the bathroom but otherwise a good stop here.

We just held our daughter's wedding reception at The Heritage on Dec 20th. The venue is absolutely…read morebeautiful and is in a great setting. The staff were amazing, starting with the owner Linda and were so responsive to our needs. I don't think the word "no" is in their vocabulary. What we really appreciated was that the staff anticipated our needs and we didn't have to scramble for anything. The back patio area is decorated beautifully with fire pits and comfortable seating. Even the bathrooms were clean and decorated nicely. It was so convenient that the venue also caters the food, which was so delicious! Instead of having to worry about bringing in caterers from outside and how they'd fit into the venue, all of the food was taken care of (and again-was delicious). We threw a curveball at them when our daughter asked last minute if she could bring hot chocolate for the guests. We brought the hot chocolate, and the staff quickly had a separate table set up with all the needed items. They were very responsive to every question and request throughout the process leading up to the reception. They communicated so well! We really cannot overstate how wonderful the whole experience was with The Heritage. Thank you to everyone there who made this night unforgettable!

Interesting surprise when we checked in was a wine/beer/pop and snack reception in the lobby. The host said it was something they did on Tuesday and Wednesday only from 4-8p. Nice bonus. The room was clean and spacious. I had three minor issues with the room. One, the chain was missing from the inner of two window shades (the other one was the black-out shade) which meant to couldn't be opened or closed. Two, the toilet had a samll leak between the tank and bowl which meant to kept cycling (refilling) at odd intervals during the night. Finally, it appears that HIE has stopped putting clocks in the room. All relatively minor issues but enough that they don's rate a 4th star.

The floor under or around most of the areas was not only covered in thick dirt but also trash. And there's a gate to get in there so there's no reason they can't clean it. The drinking fountain still doesn't work and is sooo disgusting. You could literally smell and feel in your lungs the amount of dirt in that place. It smelled strongly of urine as well. When something was mentioned to the two girls at the front desk, who were both staring at their phones, they said they do clean everyday, then said it's not their responsibility. They were not paying any attention to the several parents jumping around in the jumpers with kids, of which parents are not supposed to be in them at all unless a small child or disabled child needed them. These were parents just having a ball in there. Called Washington county health department and will be calling the state and anyone else needed to report this. This facility needs to be closed down and a major cleaning and sanitation done because no one here is doing any of it
