Today I had a scheduled appointment at "J Byrd Automotive". I've had one prior experience with him. My sister locked her keys in her car. His shop is less than a mile from my house. We called him , he said he would be here within 30 min. About an hour and a half later he shows up. Non apologetic but giving playful backhanded bater, which I was returning. All was good. He didn't charge us but we tipped him and went on our way. Today I had an appt with him at 8:00. I was there on time. There was nobody in the office when I got there so I waited. He finally walked in, no greeting, no smile. I asked if he remembered me and he said no. I told him who my other sister was as she recommended him to me and says she's never had any issue with him. When I told him who my sister was he said "ok". I told him I had an appt with him at 8:00 this morning and he responded "ok" I asked him what I needed to do if I needed to leave my keys or what and he responded "well if that's the attitude you're going to have you can go on and leave" Already feeling uncomfortable in an unfamiliar place doing unfamiliar things and to have the business owner speak to me like trash. As a woman, I would never recommend other women or anybody in general using this shop. He kept telling me he was the owner and could do what he wanted. These are NOT the kind of people we need to be supporting and giving our business to.

I Called Reynolds tire this morning looking for a used 14" tire because when I was taking my car to…read moreget an alignment I got a big hole in my tire and can't get it aligned with a flat tire. The tech I talked to asked me how far I had to travel and I said not far, just temporary til I get alignment and some new tires. He then explained that he had one that was in pretty bad shape, bald, dryrotted etc. I asked him whAt he would let me have it for and he said "$25"! Well, I told him he was hitting me pretty hard for a barely usable tire, and he said, and I quote, "well it's better than walking"! I couldn't believe that first, he would try to price gouge a person just because he thought they were in a bad way and second, that he would be so arrogant as to rub it in by saying such a crappy statement! I just laughed and told him goodbye. I am not walking...I have 4 other cars I can drive, ALL of which have to have tires and tire maintenance on a regular basis. So for your information, Mr arrogant ripoff tire tech, I will NEVER take any of my vehicles to Reynolds tire for ANY reason. I do not do business with people like you, and I will not only NEVER use your business, I will tell everyone I know that needs tire service to NEVER use you, and they will repeat this and so on and so forth... I am not a complainer normally. But I treat people the way I want to be treated and believe the principal that if people will try to kick you while they think you are down then they will try to screw you at every opportunity, and that is NOT a trait I look for in someone entrusted to diagnosing and maintaining my vehicle!!

They went through the vehicle and showed me what they thought needed replaced and showed me what they thought was fine and didn't need replacing and only recommended replacement of that which I needed to replace rather than everything I thought needed replaced saving me at least a couple hundred dollars, and they showed me why the tires I had were not acting as I had expected and said they were still good and really didn't need replacement but as I did not like the issues mentioned I had them replaced. My most recent visit they replaced the oil and rotated the tires, I thought I needed a new air filter but they said it was still quite good but if I wanted it replaced I could have it done but they didn't necessarily recommend it but did check my cabin filter which was HORRIBLE and I did have them replace it. For me personally I have found these guys honest and to the point. They didn't try to pull something over my eyes and did me right.

Bobby Hall came into the waiting area and clearly explained the problems, what needed to be done, and cost. They immediately started working on it when I asked if they could, even tho I had no appointment. It was good old fashioned customer service, and as a 62 yr old woman I never felt a second of apprehension regarding the job. They're truly honest and care about their customers and work. Quick Lube is the most efficient way to get an oil change and check other maintenance items such as…read moretire air pressure, washer fluid, etc. Crew is most professional and courteous like no other in town. While you wait, you get free coffee or water, and snacks. I also tried their tire service. You have to wait a day while they order your tires since they do not stock tires in the shop, but their prices are competitive and they do an excellent job. They will also replace your window wipers even if you do not purchase them there. They also perform a number of other mechanical tasks. They do a suburb job keeping the place clean and even though it was opened years ago, it still looks new inside and out. They have my endorsement. I am a very satisfied customer who has been back and back again since they opened years ago.
