Then they charged me $2.15 for additional oil. Now knowing that most if not all cars use a little more than 5 quarts if you fill the oil filter up with oil prior to installing it. But they pull you in with the $59.99 price. So the real quoted price should have been $65.19 + tax of 6.06 totaling $71.29 instead of $59.99 + tax 9.75% $$5.85 total $65.84 instead of $71.29. Underhanded tactics to raise the actual price that you get shocked with at the end of $5.25. + .21 extra tax. So $5.46 difference in the bill. I protested it and she just laughed at me. You should be informed of all extra charges if any before you agree to let them work in your car. Except Tsx we all expect to pay that one. As far as I'm concerned a man who operated his own business for 29 yrs. This is underhanded and crooked. I couldn't have ever imagined doing a job for someone and at the end. Saying the contract or advertised price went up because of some obscure charges I didn't inform you about at the beginning. I am a legitimate 1st-time customer…read more After my SUV was damaged by an at-fault driver, their "progressive" insurance company suggested I take my truck to their in-network repair shop in Murray, KY (about 1-hour away). Not having had an accident in many years, I went to 1st Choice because they were close to my home in Martin. The estimate was on Friday afternoon. I was there 5-7 minutes for them to take photos and they said they would e-mail me all I need. They did just that within the hour. I then decided to go with 1st Choice and drop it off first thing that Monday Morning. Not only was that quick as well. They had my rental waiting for me in the shop (clean and warm). I was there for like 5-minutes and was all set. They also said to plan on everything take a week. 1st Choice handled all the work with the company's adjuster, and both called me on Tuesday indicating the damage was more than initially anticipated and claim would be higher - - and that they will handle everything together. No work on my end. On Wednesday morning, the 1st Choice said my truck would be ready that afternoon. I WAS SHOCKED. Repairs, rear-bumper replacement, paint, and even washing my truck was completed in just 2.5 days. When I arrived Wednesday afternoon, my truck was waiting for me in front, we exchanged keys, and I was on my way. Their work is also AWESOME! Good Service, in almost every industry is hard to find these days. Rarely do we (the public) receive service that was memorable, and memorable for the right reasons. This was EXCELLENT SERVICE and in every way. I will be using this experience in my training of staff in my job and will singing their praises and supporting them locally. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The tech I talked to asked me how far I had to travel and I said not far, just temporary til I get alignment and some new tires. He then explained that he had one that was in pretty bad shape, bald, dryrotted etc. I asked him whAt he would let me have it for and he said "$25"! Well, I told him he was hitting me pretty hard for a barely usable tire, and he said, and I quote, "well it's better than walking"! I couldn't believe that first, he would try to price gouge a person just because he thought they were in a bad way and second, that he would be so arrogant as to rub it in by saying such a crappy statement! I just laughed and told him goodbye. I am not walking...I have 4 other cars I can drive, ALL of which have to have tires and tire maintenance on a regular basis. So for your information, Mr arrogant ripoff tire tech, I will NEVER take any of my vehicles to Reynolds tire for ANY reason. I do not do business with people like you, and I will not only NEVER use your business, I will tell everyone I know that needs tire service to NEVER use you, and they will repeat this and so on and so forth... I am not a complainer normally. But I treat people the way I want to be treated and believe the principal that if people will try to kick you while they think you are down then they will try to screw you at every opportunity, and that is NOT a trait I look for in someone entrusted to diagnosing and maintaining my vehicle!!
