I did some research, found and met with Jackie, and immediately felt comfortable with her. We've never left our pups alone overnight and I had quite a bit of trepidation doing so on this trip--Jackie immediately put our minds at ease, right from the first night away. We received daily reports on how the pups were doing; photos, e-cards, videos and text messages. We could not have asked for a more professional, caring or thorough person to look after our dogs. I'm fairly certain the pups are still looking for Jackie at her scheduled arrival times (even though we've been home for a little more than a day now). If you need a sitter, I can't recommend Jackie highly enough!

They offer a variety of special treats and experiences for your pup there, but you can also opt to give your pup a more basic stay/day of play. They diligently checked his vaccines, observed his temperament, and made sure he was a good boy before taking him in. Not to mention they went above and beyond for us. I appreciate the pics on the Facebook page, seeing her playing with her pals is comforting. They are very, very good at putting "like" personalities together for a cohesive group. At other places we've tried dogs were grouped by size without regard to temperament. My girl is midsized but mellow. When she isn't as mellow she is transferred to the more energetic group. I love the drop in play care as sometimes plans change last minute. They're always great about offering exit baths which is great as well. Would highly recommend.

My concern, and perhaps unfounded, was my dog would get confused and start having accidents at home. It just seemed a strange policy to me.

This is a review for dog walking, doggy daycare, and dog boarding…read more I found Peaceable Pets after a very thorough vetting (I am convinced I should have been cast in the movie Best in Show--yes, that is how much of a crazy dog lady I consider myself). Time and again, people on the Ann Arbor Dog Owners Facebook group mentioned Peaceable Pets. I read all the reviews, stalked Peaceable Pet's Facebook page (where Robin posts videos of her guests and informative articles about all things animals), scrutinized the information on her website, did a meet and greet with Marcy, our dog walker, a play date at the Dellwood Doggy Ranch (required for doggy daycare and boarders). I give it 10/10 stars. Peaceable Pets is an Ann Arbor treasure. You will not find someone more knowledgeable about dogs than Robin. Some reasons I love what Robin offers: 1. She understands my dog's unique personality, quirks, and needs. 2. She prioritizes the safety, well-being, and quality of life for my dog. 3. The pick-up and drop-off times worked well with my schedule, which was variable for a while, and then predictable for another while. 4. I trust her 100%. 5. Every time I bring Hagrid to her, he bounds toward her and doesn't even look back to say goodbye. Every dog parent knows that is a good sign. 6. Hagrid is calm and content when he returns from daycare. ...I could go on and on. As for dog walking, Marcy was wonderful and reliable. A few times I bumped into Marcy while I was walking Hagrid and saw his entire body language and vocalization over his joy of seeing Marcy. There is no stronger endorsement than that, in my opinion. To top it all off, Robin and Marcy have really interesting personalities, back stories, and talents when they are not caring for our beloved animals. Marcy speaks French. Robin sings in a band. The girl on the phone was so nice and all of the workers that I interacted with were too. I knew that my pet was in great hands! I watched him occasionally through the webcam and it was so fun to watch him play. He loved the girls and he followed them around. I really liked the schedule and the amount of play time and walks that the dogs receive. Some boarding places may be cheaper, but this place is definitely worth the price and I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. It was so cute to see my dog sitting on one of the girls lap during play time. He's very spoiled and it was so sweet that she let him sit there. He gets very anxious around new people and I was glad that he felt comfortable. I decided to place him in the boutique, which is meant for small dogs, but in the future I will probably put him in the Hills suite. There are always dogs in that suite and I don't want him to feel lonely at night. One night he was all alone in the boutique suite so I felt bad ): When we went to check him out they gave us a picture and a report card. This was so adorable!! I loved the picture so much. Then the next day we noticed there was no toy, bowl or cot. I had watched over a 24 hour period and nothing changed. I emailed and asked why this happened and I never received a response. She was being fed in a regular bowl, which she will eat too fast and choke. I also noticed a pee spot on the floor and was not sure if it was due to this or not. However, Juneau is just a puppy (fully potty trained) and used to going outside every couple hours, so I don't know if that was the issue or not. I never found out what happened.

Recently, my mother was hospitalized and needed time to recover in a skilled nursing facility. She boarded her dog, Niko, at a place in Troy close to her home. Niko has a history of seizures, and he had a small episode while he was there. The facility called to say they were not comfortable keeping him and that she needed to find alternate arrangements. My mother was already overwhelmed with her own health issues, and the added stress of finding a safe place for Niko was heartbreaking. I immediately called PSR, and they were just as incredible as I remembered. I spoke with Lace--who also worked at the Inkster location and even remembered my long‑lost baby Bella. She went out of her way to pick up Niko herself and made sure he had a safe, secure, loving place to stay. My gratitude for PSR runs deeper than words. They have always been the place I call "home" for my babies, and they proved once again why. "Thank you" will never feel like enough.
