Everything went very well! We were greeted about 2 minutes upon arrival. The food came pretty quickly but was fresh, hot and very good. The jumbo cheeseburger meal was delicious. One of my favorite parts was that they give whole pieces of bacon, unlike other places, the bacon is cut and they put a few pieces but this one was so good and the bacon was fresh and crispy as well too! My Husband and I did not go inside because it was raining but you could also tell everyone gets in and gets out. We did not see one person to pull up and stay to eat after getting their order, everyone pulled off right away. Overall, the workers were kind and the food was amazing. Let me start by saying the burgers and hotdog are great. But here's where the issue comes in. My husband and I have been frequently coming there for at least six months-- probably at least once or twice a week. I asked for a burger with slaw and chili on the side as I didn't want it to get soggy on the 30 minute drive home. Yes you heard that right 30 minute drive home. She informed me that there would be an up charge. Not to mention a VERY small cup of chili is three dollars. I declined as I thought "it's not that big of a deal right". Proceed to open up my burger when I get home and the bun is literally soggy and falling apart. I have been in the Food service business for quite some time and I have never heard of a charge for putting WET condiments on the side. I called and asked about it. The lady was extremely rude and couldn't give me an explanation as to why. As much as we really love this place, after the last couple visits, we will not be returning! Before my Dad passed and Covid, we would go get a hotdog and burger at blackwoods every once in a while, with a big Cherry lemon Sundrop. Now, you can't sit down to eat, it is drive through only. You also don't get as much food. I got a chicken tender basket and only got two small tenders and maybe 10 fries. I thought they sent me a kids tender, but apparently not. PLESANTLY surprised to find this great place after an afternoon of hiking Crowders Mountain. We had the cheeseburger (which my 3 year old devoured), the Lottaburger, the chilli burger.
