If you want to do something different while in Savannah, Blade and Bull Ax Throwing is the place to visit. Located about a mile from downtown Savannah. It is very easy to find via vehicle or on foot. Our ax throwing instructors were great and patient while teaching and demonstrating the fundamentals.  After about 10 minutes we were able to throw the axes properly. You are given a choice of several axes with different blade weights and handle lengths to throw. There are more than 10 different games you can play in the eight lanes. Our allotted time expired faster than expected due to the fun we experienced. Overall, it was a great way to kill time for individuals and groups. Highly recommended. read more

SOOOOOOOO FUN! My husband and I were sans kids on one of our last weeks in Savannah before the move. The kids were spending some QT with their grandparents while we dealt with the moving madness. I missed them so much, but this means Date Nights without having to find child care. Honey, let's go axe throwing! Sure, why not?! We went on a double date with our good friends and it was such a fun start to the evening! - Parking - Private lot, but small. There's about 10 spaces. - TLC - The owner and the team are amazing! From my first phone call for info, all the way to the end of our axe throwing sesh, they were so helpful and friendly. - How It Works - You can make a reservation online which is a very easy website to navigate. Choose location and tap "Book online now". There is a calendar with time slots. Or, if you're like me and like to talk to human beings who can process my inquisitive mind with random questions, you can call and they'll be happy to assist and also make the reservation for you. Lanes have a max capacity of 6 people. Not sure how they set you up for parties of more than 6. Just ask the nice humans. When you arrive, you have to fill out the waiver. This was quick and easy as there is a QR code at the reception that leads you to the waiver online. Read and sign and once you get that out of the way, you are shown to your lane and an Axe Throwing coach will give you a little briefing on safety and tips of how to throw the axe. I read online that it's also BYOA(xe)! I actually got the axe on the board!!! Aaaaaaaand I got BULLSEYE (once). That's all that counts haha. There is a playbook at every lane so you can actually play games... I was just trying to get it on the board haha. Blade & Bull is located inside Southbound Brewing. If you get thirsty, you can walk over to the Southbound side and grab some beers that you are welcomed to take back to B&B. B&B does NOT sell any beverages or snacks so don't go hungry. This place is small, but so much fun! I would highly recommend making a reservation. It's located in the same building as Southbound Brewery, which is very convenient for a fun night of beers and axe throwing! We checked in and we're given safety instructions. There are three different weight axes and a chalkboard to keep score. We have 6 people in our party. We played for an hour, but definitely could have spent more time there! I love that it has a cosmic bowling feel with music. We had such a great time! read more

I came here with a small group of friends on their opening day. We had a blast! I have never tried axe throwing before, and was a little nervous that I was not going to hit the board. It was actually a lot easier than I thought - and I am by no means athletic. Blade & Bull is located inside Southbound Brewery, and you can bring your beer into Blade & Bull. (Southbound only serves beer, so there are no options for the non-beer drinkers. But don't let that deter you from axe throwing!!) The cost is $25 per person, per hour, or $40 for two hours. Reservations can be made, and I would recommend making one if you can. Inside there are a few photo spots, and the staff was more than happy to take pictures for us. Overall, great time and great value. I would return. Word on the street is they might start a league soon. read more

A nice place to visit for date night. Free parking, drinks and good vibes. I stopped in for a date night and was greeted by the staff almost immediately. The staff takes you through a safety brief prior to you starting your throwing. There's a book of Ax throwing games that you can do that makes the experience more interesting. First time axe thrower and definitely going back! Went here on a first date and I was kind of nervous because I kept thinking it might not be the best idea since you don't have much time to talk but it actually was good because there's no pressure in between throws so we could pause and talk but then go back to throwing and avoid any awkward silence. It was an hour time slot and it was enough time for us to start getting competitive and have some fun. Definitely wear closed toe shoes! I had the chance to visit Blade & Bull during a workplace outing. We had an amazing time. This place offers ninja stars, axes (varies sizes) and knives to throw. Knives were the absolute challenge. Alex and Kevin were great and even gave us some tips on throwing. Some things I think would be helpful to know if you plan on visiting 1. the parking lot is small but there is side street parking 2. there is a small brewery connected that offers alcohol but you can ask for canned soda at the check in counter 3. wear close toed shoes. 10/10 recommend read more

My partner and I booked axe throwing for Sunday at 12:00pm, the first reservation of the day. The website states in the FAQ Portion to arrive 30 minutes early for check in. Upon arrival at 11:20am the doors were locked. We were stuck sitting on the businesses front stoop. At 11:30am an employee pull up to the establishment. The employee walked passed us to open up the door without saying a single word. He unlocked the door, entered the place and began to lock it. He then opened the door a crack, stuck his head out and stated "can I help you two with anything?" I explained we have a reservation for 12pm and the website said to arrive 30 minutes early. He then laughed in our faces and said "you definitely don't need 30 minutes to check in. I'll come out and unlock the door in 20 minutes or so." He wouldn't even let us sit inside. We sat on the stoop sweating.. No shade, just Georgia sun and humidity at the end of August. EXPERIENCE INSIDE: awesome, I recommend to come. ADVICE: don't book the first available booking. read more
