The appetizers were very good although I didn't grasp the concept behind sweet calamari it was cooked perfectly and tender, the escargot were buttery and delicious. I had the chicken with the cognac sauce. (I know not very exciting) but I've been in the mood for a roasted piece of chicken for a little bit...and not only was the chicken expertly prepared and cooked but it tasted amazing, seasoned perfectly. The gnocchi and asparagus that accompanied it were delicious as well. It was single-handedly one of the best chicken dishes I've had. My wife had the fillet mignon with the fig demi, potato gratin and it again was completely spot on for tenderness, seasoning and flavor. It was delicious as well. My 4 year old basically demanded we get the chocolate cake for dessert and they said it was delicious. It definitely was large enough to shared with 3 or 4 people if you wanted a few tastes. The house is really exquisite inside and you can tell great care was taken in renovations. (this time with course guide firmly in hand.) At 6209 yards from the blue (which is a pseudo White) and a 69.4/116course rating, the course played more difficult than the numbers show. The 1st hole is the 1 Hcp hole with trouble everywhere and the gold tee box was where I made my decision to play a few from the Blue. If your off the fairway, in some cases you have a 2nd shot, but with the wonderful layout (Scott W. Poole-Architect) you need to play smart and take the medicine of a pitch out. All of the par 3's from Blue and Fwd, play under 180 and the par 3, 8th hole (138yards) is one of the scariest shots in the Lowcountry. ~If you like the course be sure to look into the VIP Players Club package, its very worth the fee, if you intend to play this course a few times in the calendar year. I feel the accolades of top 100 course in SC (2006-2007) don't give this course enough credit. I have played most all Myrtle Beach-most all Charleston and this track is right up there with the best of them. ~check out my golf lists and follow my reviews if you enjoy me critiques.

If you live in the Summerville / Cane Bay / Knightsville / Ashley Ridge / upper Dorchester Rd area…read more(Kings Grants / Westcott etc) there are only 2 fairly close options for movie theaters. Cinemark is one of those, and its a great choice. If convenient, clean and comfortable. They have 8 (maybe more?) theaters, which are all updated with plush comfy chairs that rock (they do not recline). You do have to reserve a seat to see a movie in any of the theaters, which with Covid going, on is kind of a great thing to have already implemented. The sound systems are great, at times a little too loud, but for those action MCU movies, it definitely adds to the excitement of the movie. There are 3D options for some movies and some theaters are smaller than others, I think it depends on the type of movie and different showing times (evening vs matinee). For Matinee movies, you honestly can not get a better price - under $5. Even on the newer movies. After 6pm the evening costs arent that bad either compared to larger theaters. The snacks, candy, popcorn, food and drinks are priced the way most theaters are, but there is a good selection of all to choose from. They are a smaller cinema, so the lobby can get crowded quickly - this isnt a bad thing but more of something to notate in case you try to run in 5 mins before the show, give yourself more time to get snacks and tickets and get to your seats.
