Parking is street parking but I haven't had a problem finding a spot to park in any of the adjacent streets. Walk ins are welcome but since most people make appointments you're rolling the dice if you just walk in. Also, Allan has a BIG heart and he's a GREAT guy! Some people see him as a little rough on the edges but, as someone who has been around many people of various backgrounds, I find that these impressions are false and are just related to culture differences and nothing bad. He struggles with sensory overload, and while he may not fit a "typical" mold of autism, his challenges are real. Unfortunately, most of the staff did not seem welcoming or understanding. There was visible annoyance during his outbursts, and very little effort was made to make him feel comfortable. What was most upsetting was being told that if my son is "this difficult," I should cut his hair at home. That was incredibly discouraging to hear from a place that claims to specialize in working with children on the spectrum. Families like mine need patience and compassion -- not judgment.
