Long wait time that's all it is smells bad bad nail job got rejected for looking ugly

Terrible customer service! I walked into this establishment today and below is the conversation verbatim. Nail tech: Hello Me: Hi, I would like to make an appointment Nail tech: We're too busy to make an appointment for today Me: It wouldn't be for today-it would be for later this month Nail tech: Well you can give us a call to make an appointment Me: Oh okay you dont have time to help me *walks out* First of all-once I asked for an appointment it would have been nice for someone to approach the reception desk to speak with me face to face. It seemed like there were a fair amount of customers however I've never been to a salon that didnt have a nail tech that also doubled as a receptionist and would stop doing a person's nails to address a customer at the desk. Second issue-why assume I wanted to make an appointment for today? Why not just ask when do you need an appointment? Not sure at all what sense it made to be rude when a customer is directly in front of you. If I would have called she still would have needed to stop what she was doing to make said appointment so why not stop and make my appointment now that I'm actually in the building. I had Kim and she was very gentle and took her time with my nails instead of rushing like some places I've been too. For the price I paid I'm very happy with my nails. I felt very relaxed when she was working. I was very nervous because I had a nail that broke from a previous nail salon and the nail got short when it broke to the point it was sore and she was so gentle that when she was doing that finger it didn't hurt read more

I started going back to this nail salon recently after years of not going. I have to say the overall look & aesthetic of the salon is a lot better than it used to be. I love Crystal! I always book appts w/her and it's only because I like going to the same tech @ all times. I wish I knew the name of the other girl that sits by her. Because I've seen her work & looks just as good as what Crystal does. Unfortunately, I don't remember the woman's name who did my pedicure a couple months ago. But she was great and truly made sure that I was happy with what she did. I love the fact that they encourage people to make appointments. Less waiting time. The reasons for the 4 star rating: The walls need to be repainted, the tv is a bit loud, I think soothing music is more suitable for a nail salon. The pedicure area, maybe turn the lights down. Yes, I've been to salons recently that do have softer lighting over the pedicure areas. FYI, my fills last up to 3 wks, sometimes 4 wks. It just depends on my activities. Disappointed to see only 3 stars on Yelp (as of now at least). I chose this place because of the great reviews on google. I believe I looked up something like "best nail salons near me" and this came up. I'm not a person that knows about nail stuff as far as the best products to use and things like that. I can only go off of my experience as far as customer service and the end result and I can say that I'm happy. I've been wanting to try a new nail place for the last few months (nothing wrong with the place I usually go to. Just trying something new ). I got a mani/pedi here with Alice (super nice lady!) This us the worst experience I have ever had in a salon. My nails are crooked, different lengths and different shapes. I paid $27 to walk out with unpainted, sloppy nails. I was sent to wash my hands and came back to an empty station. I sat for 10 minutes before asking another nail tech to cash me out so I could leave. If you are looking for a great pedicure request Richard and the NU pedicure. If you want a shellac manicure don't use anyone but Richard or Crystal. I paid $28 for just a cuticle cut & shellac polish. The other girl didn't even give a one second message. In fact after soaking my previous shellac off there was no lotion involved at all! When I left there my hands looked like they belonged to a 90 year old woman. read more

I have been visiting this nail salon for about two years, and I can honestly say it's one of the best in the Greater Waterbury Area. All of the technicians provide great customer service, and actually take the time to get to know their customers. My shellac manicures last 3 weeks and NEVER chip, it's one of those rare blessings because they're super cheap. My pedicures are always very well done, and Crystal does amazing eyebrows. I have never left this nail salon dissatisfied, and I recommend it to all of my friends and relatives. read more

The shellac manicure is cheap so I decided to get my nails done here, cheap for a reason. They were horrible. Too many layers which makes taking them off a pain! And they crack after a few days, I've sworn this nail salon off. read more
