We are in the middle of a major home remodeling and one of my garage doors quit working. The problem turned out to be a wiring issue that I was eventually able to fix but in the meantime the workers were operating the door manually for a couple of weeks. This was quite a beating for the door and shortly after I got the opener working the door would not stay shut. I called a couple of the local companies and they couldn't come for days or even weeks. When I called Mr. Blair he promised to be there in a couple of hours. He arrived promptly at the promised time and quickly confirmed that the problem was the damaged threshold causing the force sensor to think an object was under the door. He replaced the threshold, adjusted and tightened the sensors, realigned both doors and lubed everything. All at a very reasonable price. Prompt service. My garage door slipped off its rail on a Saturday evening. I texted the number and got scheduled for the following morning. The owner came by promptly and put the door back on the rails, and also fixed the root cause (which was that the previous owners removed the horizontal support rails from the door for some reason, causing it to sag too much. Owner is honest and charges a fair price as opposed to the bigger companies which put their technicans on a commission basis so their job is to inflate the price as much as possible. While these larger companies generally do a satisfactory job in repairs, the customer is often told they need additional, often unnecessary, repairs and/or upgrades to drive up the service cost. I normally don't write a bunch of reviews but he is somebody worth writing a review on here about. He fixed my falling, collapsing garage door that was framed inaccurately and within an hour he made the door working properly again and fixed the framing problem and made it more secured than it has been before. After reading the reviews on John, I thought he may be too good to be true. Prompt, friendly, honest, fair price, no add ons? I called him for a broken spring. He quoted the price right over the phone, arrived on our agreed day and time, worked quickly and efficiently, answered uncountable questions, presented a bill with the quoted price (and not a penny more), and even took the time to teach me a few things about maintenance of that door, as well as my other door.
