Peggy & Murvin (the owners) were very friendly and inviting. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had freshly baked bread and home made jams with breakfast--which was delicious! The view from the room overlooks the Bay of Fundy and its really beautiful! It's about an hour drive to Saint John where you and catch the ferry to Nova Scotia. Theres not to much to do in the town of Saint George which is about 10 mins from the B&B but its a cute town and wonderful place to relax if your traveling the Canadian Coast. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The accommodations truly feel like visiting the grandparents' place, too - the rooms are in the lower level of the house, with a slight basement feel to it, but with a great entrance to the back yard that has chairs to sit and look at the bay (we even saw some seals). Unfortunately, the mosquitos can be a buzz kill to that serenity, so bring along some bug block, and pack in a bottle of wine or a few beers to sit and enjoy the view. The walls are a bit thin, but with only two rooms, the place doesn't get too rowdy. Breakfast was pleasant, and our hosts sat with us while we ate, which was nice to chat and learn more about the area. They are both born and raised natives of the area, and know the area quite well. This place is a great alternative to staying in St. John's, as it's only an hour away and in the direction of the border, if that's the way you need to be going. It only takes a few hours to get from here to Bangor, so it was a perfect place to stay after our ferry ride from Nova Scotia to break up the distance and time of traveling, and to avoid both Bangor and Saint John's for a more fresh-air stay for the night. However, please note that if you take the late afternoon ferry from Digby, you should stop and eat dinner in Saint John before coming this way. There are almost zero options of places to eat in the area.

Generally we had a good stay, but read carefully to see better if the Inn might fit you. We had three issues: 1) the proprietor, Susan, was often difficult to locate. as she was nowhere around when we arrived, and we never found her in the evening to talk about breakfast plans; 2) there was no AC control for our first floor bedroom (controlled from a master switch in another part of the inn); and 3) our bedroom was adjacent to the kitchen and proved a bit noisy. On the plus side, when we were able to catch up with her, Susan was quite pleasant, and she prepared a delicious breakfast for us. The room had a very comfy mattress, and the bathroom shower really worked well. The yard also is lovely, slopping down to the bay with some water activities there available for guests. The overnight rate was $135 Canadian, which seemed a little high given our issues. Maybe the upstairs rooms might be better, but we can review only what we experienced.

Let's start with check-in. We arrived in the afternoon/early evening and were greeted instantly. They had everything ready to go, and we were checked in and in the unit within a few minutes. We stayed in the Cliffside (I have slept since then, but it was a bottom-floor room on the ocean, and was Cliff something if I am wrong). The restaurant was closed that evening (we came during off season), and we were directed to a local restaurant (Review is already in for the Water Street Tavern and Inn. Our unit was spotless and had all of the necessities. We did not try the TV (as we were not there to watch it, to enjoy the scenery and time), but the unit was cute. It had a bed, table, chairs for eating, a microwave, TV, coffee machine, two chairs, and deck chairs. It was perfect for our short stay. The bathroom was large with two sinks and a shower/tub combo. We did not really hear anyone, but again, we are in the off-season. The bed was not the most comfortable, but it was not horrible either. There were no issues with temperatures, and the sliding door to the deck was perfect for viewing the sunrise at 5 a.m.! Unfortunately, I left my Apple Watch and only remember hours after we had left. We could not turn around, so I called and eventually spoke with Nadia. She was extremely kind on the phone and in demeanor, and helped tremendously in ensuring I got my item back. Nadia was fantastic in ensuring my item was found and mailing it back to me just a few hours after my call! She provided excellent customer service and did it all with a smile I could feel on the phone. , We also ate breakfast at the Inn at the Wharf before leaving, but it was Mother's Day, and there were not many restaurants in town that served a Mother's Day breakfast. The food was terrific, but we knew that time would be an issue, so we are not stating anything about time. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were terrific. Customer service was excellent, and the place was full! PROS: Views for miles, sunrises that you simply die for Not connected to the main hotel, so feels like an apartment/condo Lots of space on the front deck to sit and view the ocean Local grocery store, no issues finding what we needed Local chocolate shop, Monica's, was great,t and Monica was super sweet CONS: Small town (which is not really a con, but can be if you are looking for activities) Parking is tight

The heated bathroom floors were a treat that I was not expecting in such a grand old home but that just proved to me once again that nothing is overlooked when it comes to their guests' comfort. Breakfast is always wonderful, and what delights me every time is that the people with whom we share the table are always interesting and delightful breakfast companions. If you are visiting Fredericton, treat yourself to Brennan's.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the King Suite which included an amazing bathroom with a huge Jacuzzi tub (Best. Bathtub. Ever.), fireplace, flat screen TV, kitchenette and super comfortable bed. The house is gorgeous inside and out and the hosts make you feel at home with helpful tips for what to do in the area and a genuine interest in your travels. The big breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, jams, ham and your choice of eggs. If you need to stay in the Fredericton area, do yourself a favor and look no further than Brennan's, you won't regret it.
