I have read some of the other reviews, and I wanted…read moreto take some time to tell of our experience and the wonderful customer service that we received from Nadia and the entire staff at the Inn at the Wharf. Let's start with check-in. We arrived in the afternoon/early evening and were greeted instantly. They had everything ready to go, and we were checked in and in the unit within a few minutes. We stayed in the Cliffside (I have slept since then, but it was a bottom-floor room on the ocean, and was Cliff something if I am wrong). The restaurant was closed that evening (we came during off season), and we were directed to a local restaurant (Review is already in for the Water Street Tavern and Inn. Our unit was spotless and had all of the necessities. We did not try the TV (as we were not there to watch it, to enjoy the scenery and time), but the unit was cute. It had a bed, table, chairs for eating, a microwave, TV, coffee machine, two chairs, and deck chairs. It was perfect for our short stay. The bathroom was large with two sinks and a shower/tub combo. We did not really hear anyone, but again, we are in the off-season. The bed was not the most comfortable, but it was not horrible either. There were no issues with temperatures, and the sliding door to the deck was perfect for viewing the sunrise at 5 a.m.! Unfortunately, I left my Apple Watch and only remember hours after we had left. We could not turn around, so I called and eventually spoke with Nadia. She was extremely kind on the phone and in demeanor, and helped tremendously in ensuring I got my item back. Nadia was fantastic in ensuring my item was found and mailing it back to me just a few hours after my call! She provided excellent customer service and did it all with a smile I could feel on the phone. , We also ate breakfast at the Inn at the Wharf before leaving, but it was Mother's Day, and there were not many restaurants in town that served a Mother's Day breakfast. The food was terrific, but we knew that time would be an issue, so we are not stating anything about time. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were terrific. Customer service was excellent, and the place was full! PROS: Views for miles, sunrises that you simply die for Not connected to the main hotel, so feels like an apartment/condo Lots of space on the front deck to sit and view the ocean Local grocery store, no issues finding what we needed Local chocolate shop, Monica's, was great,t and Monica was super sweet CONS: Small town (which is not really a con, but can be if you are looking for activities) Parking is tight

We stayed for a drink, after advising them that our disappointment could have been prevented if their website (and other internet sites) had been clear about their policies. Take note, they might like dogs, but the claims of dog-friendliness are over-rated.

Some rooms are dog friendly for those who need it. Thankfully we got one of the last rooms and were very impressed with the quality here. Clean and not outdated with a comfortable bed to sleep on as well. Motels can have a bad wrap compared to hotels and some other lodging but this is a great one. Staff was extremely friendly and full of useful tips we needed. Checking in decently late and during non peak season they informed us our only food option was the closest gas station despite some restaurants having incorrect hours online. Also while it was limited do not pass on grabbing some delicious homemade muffins in the mornings! Only negative is noise could be heard from some other rooms and the road but once asleep was not an issue. Great lodging option for this area!

a trip to maine--obviously, but i need to point out the obvious--and why a trip to maine you ask--a…read morephone conversation with my girlfriend and we figured out that the two of us have never been to maine--other than me but it was a drive from new hampshire to portland to fly out. anyway, there was one light house in particular that she needed to see--and she had it in her phone. and of course it was the west quoddy head lighthouse. so we hopped in the car and drove to lubec all the way from albuquerque which is a long story in itself. i was tasked to find lodging all along the trip, and realized that there was not a lot in lubec. Found the West Quoddy Station, and sure why not give it a try. We were so glad we did. the first thing we noticed is that it was QUIET. peaceful quiet. and was everything as advertised. we had the starboard bouy barn, and it was nice and roomy. having a kitchen meant we could just get something in town and cook in the room. to be able to just have a nice meal and enjoy the scenery was fantastic. the room was nice and warm for may, and the shower was terrific. big bathroom which is a plus. definitely worth the drive!!

Luckily for us, the massive Station House--we surmise the former lifesaving station's dormitory--was available and offered at a not to be refused price. What fun to rattle around its many bedrooms and baths. Most memorable were the sweeping views across the Bay of Fundy north to Lubec and Campobello Island, and that evening's awe-inspiring sunset. You would do well to consider The Station House for family or friend reunion or small business retreats. We enjoyed West Quoddy Station so much that we decided to return for our 42nd wedding anniversary, but only if we could get the Crew's Quarters cabin, its views comparable to The Station House's with even greater privacy. Twice lucky! Given Crew's Quarters unassuming Downeast shingle exterior, we were nearly stunned and very impressed upon entering to discover possibly the most meticulously constructed Post and Beam home in my thirty years selling Downeast real estate. Talk about overbuilt! Every cedar beam heftier, every plank and floor board wider than required, all carefully joined. No place for sheetrock in Crew's Quarters: instead every wall built of wide cedar planks pleasingly laid diagonally. Plus a fully vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. And those views of the blue Bay of Fundy, even bluer skies from bedrooms, living, and dining rooms, and Crew's Quarters spacious deck. We, our friends, and their aging golden service dog, Brigid, were very comfortable. The weather being fine, we spent most of our time relaxing and dining on the deck. Everything worked fine in the shared bathroom, towels were thick. The kitchen wasn't gourmet-worthy, but the toaster took a split bagel and the vintage Mr. Coffee worked. There's a pot for boiling lobster, if you must. Had the weather turned cold--as it can, quickly--we would have been grateful for the propane "woodstove" and large Rinnaii heater. We did way better than survive. We'll be back! P.S. West Quoddy Station is a dozen minutes from the International Bridge to Campobello Island, a few minutes more to the auto and bike ferry to Deer Island, itself worth a day's touring. Nearby artsy Eastport, Maine, is worth a visit. And don't miss Monica's Chocolates in Lubec!

Cool summer night breezes blew through opened windows of the front room. A tiny but perfectly appointed bathroom served us well. Greg prepared 2 outstanding breakfasts of fresh fruit, French toast, scrambled eggs, biscuits...the works. Very satisfying start to each day! (Sadly, no pictures) Following lively conversation and Greg's recommendations, we visited the local wine bar, St Andrew's and took an awesome hike at Cutler Cove in the Western Preserve. I drove my family of 4 the several hours here too Whale Watch. Went to check in to our rooms. The lady at the front desk told me they were sold out, there were no rooms reserved for us and that the owner must had "been drunk" when he took my call. Currently sitting in a diner frantically looking for a place to stay. Do not trust this hotel.
