Up front they swiped credit card and my bf added a 15% tip as tipping is an option on the screen, however I'm pretty certain tipping is a very uncommon practice when renting cars or utvs. This would have been fine as he always wants to pay it forward. However we had an unfortunate situation occur, upon arriving back to their facility after our ride, we realized after taking pics and eating lunch, we had left a cell phone on the mtn. We explained to epic what had happened and they said of course go get it. So my bf went back up to retrieve the phone quickly on his own. Upon arriving back, he was told that he now had to pay for 4 hours. I feel they took advantage of a misfortune. It would have been cheaper for us to just file an insurance claim and get a new phone as we were planning to get soon anyway. Or they could have informed us that if we needed to go back out we would be charged another full 2 hours so we could determine ahead of it were worth going back for. This treatment/way of doing business does not warrant a 15% tip nor our return business. :( Extremely disappointed.

We were scheduled from 11:00 to 1:00, but didn't get out on to the water until 11:30, so they said we could stay out until 1:30. They ended up calling us at 11:58 saying they forgot they had someone scheduled for 1:00, so we needed to come back asap. It wasn't a huge deal, but 1.5 hours definitely wasn't enough time. However, the main reason for my glowing review is the team of people who helped us. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyed experience. From their general friendly upbeat nature, to just too notch customer service. Sometimes you get one or two friendly people but everyone We interacted with were wonderful. We were visiting Bear lake to go fishing just before the busy season. I was unable to find a…read morefishing boat available due to being just before boat rental season. I was able to contact Bear Lake Funtime and they we willing to rent us a fishing boat. I just had to call them and make a reservation. Upon pickup the staff was friendly. We signed the rental contract and read the safety information. We were told to pick out a safety vest from a pile of very dusty vests. We hooked up the boat to our truck to tow it to the marina. Usually they rent this boat from the marina but they required us to tow it there for some reason. It was early in the season but if it was my company I would have launched it for the customer. Not a huge deal for me since I have towed and launched many boats, but might be an issue for others. We inspected the boat for damages and went over the motor controls. Launching the boat was easy enough however they didn't tell us we had to pay $8 at the launch ramp. We didn't have $8 in cash when we got there. The boat didn't have proper ropes for launching or tying up the boat, just a small string. I used one of my ratchet straps to tie the boat to the dock. The boat was not very clean as the bottom was covered with leaves and there was a puddle of water in the bottom. While on the lake my foot was sitting in a puddle of water. The boat ran great with no motor problems. However, I was disappointed to learn that the fish finder on the boat didn't turn on. I was also disappointed to learn there are no fishing rod holders on the boat at all. If the boat and vests were cleaned a little better or at least dry, proper launching ropes, a working fish finder, and they told me about the $8 fee at the launch ramp, I would have given them 5 stars. I would actually give them 3.5 stars if I could.

We had them out for about three hours, and hit the Flintstone house, top of the world, and the toll booths. It was a great time and an awesome experience. Joey even recommended a stellar place for dinner in Hurricane, overall a great experience and must use company for your day of recreation in the Sand Hollow area!!

My family and friends have been coming here as a group of 13 families for over 20 years…read more Unfortunately, this year the staff completely ruined our trip. Their behavior was unprofessional and unfriendly from start to finish. We were harassed over day passes we had already purchased, and even tried to charge us for a day pass at 9:38 PM just for dropping off some items. When a few families left early, their campsite (still paid for and under our name) sat empty. We simply asked to park another family's car there. not stay overnight and were met with an unnecessary argument. The final straw was being given a ticket for "using" a day pass until 10:30 PM because we were sitting around a campfire. After two decades of loyal visits, we're shocked at how poorly we were treated. Sadly, we won't be coming back, and it's unbelievable to think that after all these years, staff behavior would drive us away.

He took us up the mountain and back down. If you forget or lose your swim items in the river this also doubles up as a bathing suit and flip flop shop! The mark up is high but the quality of the stuff was good! Would come Back again. $40 for an hours worth of fun was worth it. We got to tube about 4 times down the river in the hour we rented! Amazing deal.
