First time having the infamous Blank Street Coffee and it didn't disappoint. Got one of the seasonal specials, the gingerbread latte, which was truly delicious. Came with some crushed ginger cookie on top which was a fun texture addition. The flavor was a perfect sweet & warm spice (ginger) combo. The apple pastry was just ok. I wanted a little morning munch so it satisfied that but it wasn't anything special, one and done.

Came here for a drinkety drink while in the area. Very peaceful, aesthetic shop with a small but decently varied menu. As in, non coffee drinkers will be able to find a bev for them here (raises hand). I got the spring special, an iced strawberry shortcake matcha (housemade strawberry shortcake syrup and strawberry jam mixed with oat milk and ceremonial matcha). It can be served hot as well. I got the large size, which didn't seem that large but it was only 50 cents more than the smaller size. Despite "shortcake" in the name, I was just expecting it to taste like strawberry matcha. But wow, the shortcake aspect really came through. It tasted like a liquified version of the pastry. It was very mindblowing and had me continuously sipping it. I can't say that I loved it, but I definitely didn't mind it. The staff member working the cash register was friendly. The barista slid my drink across the counter in a hurry although there weren't many customers after me, which didn't seem too friendly, but also not mean. Gave this place four stars instead of five because I only tried one drink was only there for 10 minutes, so I don't think I know enough about this place to give it full stars. I'll be back to Blank Street to try their all day breakfast and other drinks one day!

I was on the east coast for two weeks and came to blank street EVERY DAY. The drinks were consistently great and service was quick. I indulged in so many caffeinated beverages: white choc mocha latte, cold brews with vanilla syrup or caramel syrup, the banana bread matcha latte, a regular matcha, vanilla lattes... I adjusted the sweetness on the cold brews and lattes and my drinks were perfect. Will absolutely be my go to coffee shop next time I'm here. Ps - the ham and cheese croissants were also a great breakfast snack.

I caved and tried the classic drink featured in "It Must be Nice to be a West Village Girl." The matcha's good! Very sweet but that's how I like it. I got the strawberry matcha variation that comes with jam but I really liked the daydream variation my boyfriend got. Highly recommend! Fast service and a cozy ambiance and the entire place was dripping in sunlight.

I was introduced to this cafe from Yelp. I feel in love with their chocolate chip cookies with the sea salt and I've never been the same ever since. You'd think it would be easy to make a chocolate chip cookie but there's so much debate and some people do not make good cookies. Blank street does it right every time. So much so they tend to sell out at multiple locations. I got my hands on a couple and they were so good!

i do love blank street coffee. it's one of my favorite new york city coffee shops. i think what they do especially well is their seasonal flavors. on a warm summer day, their matchas are incredible, and what you'll see when you're waiting is that everyone's ordering these beautiful matchas that not only look like perfection but also have the most beautiful flavors. i've tried their strawberry shortcake in the past, which was great. today i opted for a strawberry matcha, and i'll be honest it was sweeter than i remembered. honestly, if you're looking for a dessert drink, this is a good option. however, next time i would opt for no flavoring in my matcha. i think i've tried other locations before and they weren't as sweet as this one, but i'd be willing to try different beverage here and maybe even the strawberry matcha again. a lot of seating inside, my drink was ready in just a couple of minutes, and everyone was very nice. i would totally recommend.

I heard about Blank Street Coffee and wanted to try their drinks. I finally went to try some coffee! I enjoyed the ambiance in this store and the variety of drink offerings. I ordered the cherry cold brew latte. I enjoyed the flavor and thought the cherry added a nice touch to the drink. My sister ordered the white chocolate matcha. She enjoyed it but it is on the sweeter side. If you do not like something super sweet order one less pump of the white mocha. The baristas were nice and helpful. I will be back!

You pay $8 per person for three hours, which seems absolutely incredible. They have delicious bubble teas and some light bites. They have teas and coffees too. Super shout out to the woman working there today (12/29) because my little cousin is not an adventurous eater and she recommended the lychee boba and gave him a sample. He never tries things but did and really enjoyed it. I am so thankful for everyone's kindness who worked there. A cool atmosphere with lots of meetups and games going on. Huge positive that you can make a reservation. I can't wait to come back!

The store was pretty emptied at the time, and clerk informed about pricing per hour for game play (board and card games). I decided to skip the games, since all I wanted was some food to-go. Got the pastry and a latte drink. The pastry was a bit off; cheese filling was too sour and the pastry just didn't taste that fresh. The matcha latte drink wasn't good neither; very small amount of Matcha flavor, but plenty of milk. Will probably come back for game play only

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
