When loyal customers are still waiting to line up at their local coffee shop, you know there's something special about the place. Maybe it's the vast options on the menu or maybe it's that extra oomph from the staff remembering your name & order from being a regular. Regardless, the line was popping out the door, even til late morning. And even though it was busy, the owner came out to greet his regulars and I think THAT speaks volumes. Within a few mins, I was able to enjoy my latte with epic views of the water & FiDi walking along the waterfront. A cute local coffee shop with a great view of the waterfront and skyline. The coffee is excellent, and the space feels cozy, but seating is limited and there's no bathroom, so it's not really a spot to sit and relax. It's more of a grab-and-go place for your morning commute or walk. The service was quick and friendly, and there's a lovely walking trail nearby. I'll definitely stop by again! read more

I love this place. Definitely the only thing getting me through this Summer. The staff is great and the place is roomy and stays cool. If you go outside theres a beautiful view so its basically perfect for a quick stop or to spend your entire day. Also, theres great coffee and sandwiches there. I have been eyeing this café all winter and This café just opened in April 2024. It is perfectly located near Brooklyn Bridge Park. I love that they have flavored coffee like Taro, black sesame, butterscotch and honey spiced lattes. They also have a lavender Matcha option on the menu food and smoothies. As a fan of taro flavored food/drink. I got the taro latte which was $6 on the menu $7.46 in total. I must say that the latte was super strong, which is good if you're going for that. I ended up diluting it with milk when I got home. I didn't really taste the taro flavoring it was very similar to vanilla. The only downsides were that the milk wasn't refrigerated and that they do not allow dogs inside being that there is a dog park right next-door at Pier 6. The ambience is nice and quiet where people were taking a break and reading with music playing lightly in the background. The service was not the warmest but I hope to go back soon to try the other coffee flavors read more

Worst experience, so overhyped. All I wanted was a pump of mocha in my cold brew which is a thicker syrup than the usual vanilla or whatever, and they refused to do it because it wouldn't mix well. However I am very well aware it doesn't mix the same and I do this all the time, I wasn't going to judge the lack of mixing. Then they refused to put the stupid pump of mocha in the drink. The snobbiness was comical from the girl working. Word of advice: share your POV with the customer then give them what they want when it's a simple ask. Will never walk in here again, there's so many other options in the area! read more

There are so many coffee shops in this neighborhood with good coffee, but it's been hard to find one that has good customer service. Coffee shops these days have turned into a place where cashiers and baristas feel comfortable making customers feel like garbage, like they are doing you a giant favor and you owe them your life because they handed you a coffee. The attitude, audacity, and tipping tantrums have not gone unnoticed, which is why places like this where the employers are decent mean everything. Most times you are coming for coffee early in the morning, so having someone friendly to start your day makes all the difference and is why I will continue to come back here. read more

Grabbing a cute coffee by the water isn't my ideal activity but I was curious and thirsty when I walked by this cafe near Brooklyn bridge park between pier 5 and pier 6. I have by chance been to their Manhattan location on Lafayette when I desperately needed a bathroom and ended up staying for the wifi and coffee. But I remembered after I left. What I appreciated about this place was that they had alternatives to coffee which were perfect for the walk on the pier. The person before me had ordered a smoothie and it looked good. But I didn't want something so heavy at the moment. By chance I saw they had strawberry lemonade with the additional option of getting it as a slushie. I decided to get normal lemonade this go around. The person at the cash register was attentive to make sure I was next as soon as the other customers were done and i quickly got my drink. It is not as pink as expected especially when you mix the strawberry syrup at the bottom but it was flavorful and refreshing, especially on such a hot day. My partner and I love visiting coffee shops that have their own specialty lattes - this is the perfect place! We got the black sesame seed latte and their butter beer nitro coffee.. both were amazing!!! The nitro coffee comes with whole milk and was creamy, sweet and delicious! I loved that the sesame latte wasn't as sweet and next time I'll order it with oat milk to make it extra creamy. Can't wait to go back and try their taro latte! Like most coffees in the area, it's a little expensive - our total was about $14 for the two drinks. But totally worth it! The location is great, right in Brooklyn bridge park, for some sweet views while ya sip on your sweet drink. They also have pastries but we didn't try any this time. Not only is the output here summarily excellent, but they can deal with massive crowds on nice days/when tourists or visitors are hitting the park. This is a semi-regular stop for me (friends/extended family in the area). Everything is always on point and--for my part--taken for granted. Last time in here, it was insanely crowded, with one person handling a massive crowd. My cortado was as perfect as ever. This time, the barista (a young Asian man -- didn't want to interrupt his flow and ask for a name) did that while somehow making three hot chocolates for the tourists with their three kids and perfect British accents, heating a sandwich for someone and basically just standing on his head to get everyone out the door in standard NYC coffeehouse expedited time with no help whatsoever. In addition to their great coffee and excellent service, as a final note, while I'm generally not a fan of vegan desserts, I must say their tahini chocolate chip cookie is something pretty special, and pairs nicely with their excellent brew. I like my coffee hot, but my girlfriend also swears by their cold brew. A bit small inside (or, more accurately, only a few stools) - definitely a better spot for take away and enjoying the beautiful area with some excellent coffee. read more

Kind baristas, but the coffee is mediocre and overpriced. My mocha latte tasted neither like coffee nor like mocha - more like cardboard flavored milk. That's the main reason for the poor rating, but it was also frustrating that they till charged tax despite me paying with kish. Two coffees should not cost more than $10. read more

I stopped into Kaigo recently on a sweltering afternoon and chose the Island Breeze smoothie (pineapple, mango, banana, and orange juice). Very refreshing and a great combo. Location is right near Piers 5 and 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, so it's convenient to stop by if you want a drink or snack for your visit to the park. read more

I got the black sesame latte on a lovely Saturday morning. The location of the coffee shop is great. It overlooks the water and there's a few small tables outside to sip on your coffee while enjoying the weather. This is probably not a great spot to shack up all day and do work but would be a good place to relax for an afternoon. The black sesame latte was not as strong on the sesame flavor as I liked. Not sure if all of it sank to the bottom but even after mixing it, it was still super coffee forward. I think if I came back, I'd want to try something else. It ended up tasting just like a regular iced coffee- but maybe that was just a one off experience for me. read more

Along a row of shops near the main path, it is easy to access for someone taking a stroll. They have a few tables in the shade under the trees outside. It was a beautiful September day in NYC. We just visited the Transit museum and decided to take a walk through the piers at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Then we happened upon this place and thought it would be a good place to get a quick drink before going to the piers. I also needed to charge my phone. I drank the most expensive coffee / protein shake of my life here but it was so good that I'll never forget. I have to drink protein shakes after having had a Gastrectomy but now I get coffee flavored protein shake powder now because of this place. It's been months but I think it was made with dark chocolate, cold brew , protein powder , almond milk, peanut butter and banana. I think I gained 5 much needed pounds from it, too. Walking around the Brooklyn waterway and came here to escape some of the rain and cold. What a nice find! They had a very creative menu of drinks. I'm pretty simple and got a latte and it hit the spot. Very good. My husband got fancy and tried a pour over of their current Peruvian beans. He said it was great. Very high quality. We came back later and tried their black sesame latte, draft latte and a strawberry banana smoothie. All were top notch. Great spot by the Pier. Nice views and area. Prices here are super reasonable. Our favorite neighborhood spot, a daily stop for me. The staff goes above and beyond to remember your name and order and makes the experience personal. It can get busy on the weekends given how busy the area/piers get, but the staff is always on top of it working hard to make sure the wait isn't too bad. The coffee is consistently great -- the sesame latte (both hot and cold) is incredible, and their cold brew shake is a must have. I ordered a two smoothies and water and Gatorade. Located right at the pier it's super convenient if you're in the area. I got the cold brew smoothie and it was so good. I would get it again. Service was great. I would go again and try other drinks. My friend liked the smoothie I got him and said it was refreshing. Parking is not easy to find so I would look for parking elsewhere. There is a garage nearby but I remember thinking wow such a good deal cus it was a little less than $10 but that was only from half an hour soooo good luck finding parking. They offer three different options at $12 each. I ordered the one with pickles and a balsamic glaze. They were really well prepared and certainly worth the price. There isn't enough you can say about this bomb coffee shop. It's ambiance is simple, modern, and appealing. It's got everything you'd expect and more. Quality coffee done to a science has become a trend, thanks to the hipsters. This place has no short comings when it comes to coffee done right. From the cold draft on tap, exotic pour over drips, this place has it all. Not crazy about caffeine but still need to something satiable? Their fruit smoothies are delicious and the baristas really know what they're doing. Need a snack? No problem, this place got you covered from avocado toasts to sweet pastries to subdue those hunger pains. Stopped in for a cappuccino and then grabbed a cookie that was just brought out. The drink was good! Bigger than some pours. The cookie was good, too, but it was quite cold. For coffee, the usual suspects are available. Their pour overs of single origin beans are well made and served in a small glass cup with a larger glass pitcher. They also have cold brew and nitro latte on draft. They mix these two together for a drink called the Black & Tan. Strong cold brew with a light touch of sweetness and foam from the latte. Delicious.
