    Shaken vanilla bean matcha
    Ellen C.

Came for an afternoon pick me up and ordered the iced shaken vanilla bean matcha. Asked for less ice but can't custom. Was able to switch milk to almond milk at no additional charge. Service was quick. The matcha is not that strong and the drink was perfectly sweetened to my taste. Since only an hour to closing no pastries left.

Another Blank St on the UES. For those who don't know, their goal is to be cheaper than Starbucks, better than Dunkin', and as ubiquitous as either. I would say with that goal in mind, they're hitting the nail on the head. While I wouldn't consider Blank St to be my favorite coffee in NYC by far, it is definitely better than Dunkin and they have cool, creative drink choices, including of course matcha and have rotating seasonal drinks that keep interest. I also like that they include calorie info so you kind of know what you're signing up for and fit it into your day if you're counting calories. The matcha I will say is pre-prepared for efficiency, and thus comes out of a squeeze bottle, portioned from a larger batch. The strawberry matcha is solid, as is the oreo matcha.

I had a pleasant experience w my boyf on Saturday afternoon... the baristas handled everything efficiently and politely !! I got the Carrot Cake iced Matcha Latte w half and half, double sweet He got a simple iced Matcha Latte w half & half .. everything was great !! (I think I preferred the carrot cake over the banana bread matcha I tried on my last visit) The lil shop was busy w some booth seating and a few small side tables .. very cute, clean & calm even with the in & Out foot traffic

The matcha with oatmilk was underwhelming. Tasted like bland dirt? As someone else mentioned, the best part about this store was the barista. The barista was kind.

First time at a Blank Street. Pretty small with just 3 mini tables. They didn't have the Pistachio Latte which was really what I came here for. They've recommended the Daydream Latte which honestly tasted just okay. The banana bread was so dry and tasted bland. Not the best first experience with this coffee shop brand, the saving grace was really the staff who gave out recommendations and what felt like proper human interaction at least which other coffee shops can do better at.

Blank Street Coffee has come a long way since I started visiting their locations. Now they have seating and hot and cold food. The coffee has always been decent. I especially like the employees who are very friendly and very efficient. This new location has been my go to for the past week. The Burrata Pesto Croissant was on my mind so today I had to return to eat one. It's tasty but just not my type of food purchase. If you want a bite to eat with your coffee I'm recommending!!

I had such a great experience at Blank Street Coffee! The aesthetic is very cute, clean, modern. The drinks were also great, I ordered the pistachio matcha and it was so good! Not too sweet which I love. Everyone else in my group also enjoyed their drinks. The service was very friendly. The barista was so kind and patient with our larger party as we asked questions and took our time deciding what to order. It's a perfect little stop if you're walking around the city and I love that they offer online orders for added convenience. Definitely a spot I'd like to return to!

Must try: Cherry Cold Brew Latte (Seasonal) and Shaken Brown Sugar Cold Brew Latte! Why: They just opened last week and I randomly stumbled upon them walking home from a workout. Glad I did because I tried the Cherry Cold Brew Latte and loved it! Also had a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich, which was great. Came back the next day to try a Shaken Brown Sugar Cold Brew Latte and love that too! Notes: Brand new place so it's spotless clean. Great selection of pastries to enjoy with your coffee. The barista at register was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. She helped me decide on drink and food to try for my first visit. They had seating against the wall with three small circular tables. I also appreciate that they are dog friendly with dog treats near front door. Will take my dog next time so he can enjoy treats while I have brew and pastry. I'll be coming back plenty as it's a convenient addition to the UES!

My boyfriend and I decided to share a Banana Bread matcha and it was delicious but just a tad too sweet. If you're looking for a classic astringent matcha, you will not find it here but I recommend it for anyone curious.

Banaba bread matcha was all over my TikTok and I had to try it. The flavor combo actually worked quite well. Drink was super sweet though. Nice seating area where I sat with my friend and yapped for quite some time.

Wanted to write this review based on the wheelchair accessibility and laptop areas…read more There are coffee shops in the neighborhood with laptop rules that say you have to sit at the high tables. Obviously as a wheelchair user, I cannot sit at the high tables, and when I have asked the staff for understanding, other places have denied me. Ines let me use my laptop at a wheelchair accessible table without any fuss. Mark was very gracious. When I asked, he said, "we will make an exception." I felt heard without advocating for common sense and I greatly appreciate the humility. Thank you!

The escargot was covered with pesto that tasted like the basil wasn't fresh. Also, I'm sure there was plenty of garlic because the restaurant smelled like it, but I would have liked more garlic in this dish. The meatballs were mostly bread (there may have been some meat). After we complained, the item was removed from our bill by our friendly, polite, and conscientious server. Note: This is a French restaurant, but they didn't have any butter for the bread.

They have a table to pickup preorders so you don't have to wait in the main line. I ordered a dozen for $39. You can select your assortment. Here's my review in order from the best to the least desirable, according to our group. Vanilla custard- the filling was thick and speckled with vanilla beans. It wasn't too sweet. This was the best according to our group. Strawberry filled- this is most traditional and Breads Bakery does a nice job. The jam is homemade. Pistachio- this doughnut was filled with smooth pistachio cream and was topped with a few pieces of pistachio. Not traditional, but they did a good job. Chocolate- the filling tasted like a semisweet or bittersweet cream/custard. Like the others, it was smooth. The vanilla was more popular among our group and I personally didn't love this doughnut. Mango- this was the one that those in my group felt missed the mark. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, so that was good, but the filling didn't do anything for us either. If you're looking for a mango dessert the one at Lysée is a real winner.

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.
