Upon entry, it was a quaint place with a wall of old cameras and few tables, chairs & stools. The place was fairly full with friends talking and people working. Thankfully I found a small round table and stool, put my stiff down and decided to order brunch item and a drink. I ordered the prosciutto scramble & an iced latte. The drink was quickly made and I got it in a few minutes while I wait for the food. The scramble came and it was hot. The egg was soft and moist. On top was prosciutto and grated Parmesan. I was craving a cafe outing this morning, and this place did not disappoint! The cafe has a cozy, intimate atmosphere and feels like a good place to warm up in the winter. I tried the smoked salmon truffle eggs benedict, which from reading reviews after the fact I take is relatively well known in NYC. I wouldn't necessarily want the strong flavor profile every weekend but the truffles and grated gouda gave it a unique flare, and it was truly an experience kind of a food as opposed to something you just eat quickly and then move on from. The cappucino came in a clear glass which was also a departure from the norm and a welcome surprise. This camera wall was a nice view change from the usual. I got a vanilla latte and it was a good roast with great simple ingredients. A worker kindly came up to me and another patron stating that we can't use our laptops on weekends but he allowed it for this one time. Other than that, this is a super cute place to come for a light bite to eat or a drink, and relax by yourself or with a friend. There's some space inside and outside to work. The quinoa scrambled bowl was great for something semi healthy, and was surprisingly a great portion size. Also, the iced matcha latte I had was good too but they didn't have too many milk offerings. A solid coffee and brunch spot to catch up with friends. I like that there are no laptops allowed on the weekends, which leads to easier turnover for tables - and an environment where people actually talk! The sesame mochi waffle is delicious and perfect in every way - highly recommend. I love their seasonal drinks, and even though some menu items say "iced only" they've been able to make them hot for me. Came for a very early Saturday brunch with a dear friend. Food is good and decent prices! I ordered the Truffle eggs benedict ($18) and split the blueberry ricotta pancakes ($11) with him. The pancakes were a bit small in portion size and felt a bit cold when I received it, but absolutely devoured the truffle eggs benedict. The side of mushrooms and the umami richness complemented the hollandaise sauce very well. Please note that the seating is pretty limited and they don't take reservations, so great to show up early. Really enjoy this little spot! The only thing that's frustrating is how quickly it fills up with people working during the week - I came for a little breakfast and we didn't have anywhere to sit! I was glad to see the sign that it's not allowed on the weekends so that they're able to balance this. It's a super small space and only about 8, 2-person tables so it's definitely tight and tough to get a spot. However, the food and drinks are delicious! My friend and I split the truffle Benedict because neither of us were too hungry. We got them with mushrooms and it was AMAZING! I got an iced dirty chai latte and it was so good. Stumbled upon this spot for coffee while in the area. In terms of coffee, it was fine. Hipster, cute, foam art. But the vibe of the place itself was fairly interesting. I enjoyed the cameras on the wall committing to the theme and the backwards "frame" sign that is forwards when you view it in the mirror. We didn't grab any of the food, but this did look pretty good. I also appreciate a well-kept bathroom and did appreciate this here. Had hot americanos with a splash of oat milk both times and they were both exceptional hot americanos with a splash of oat milk! I got the prosciutto scrambled for brunch and it was sooooo delicious. Stopped by for their thai iced coffee (comes obligatorily iced) and even though it was a cold day it was SO delicious and so worth it. Saw a lot of other people drinking this as well. It is strong, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. I'm honestly kind of shocked something so good is in the UES, I'd expect this level of food/drink to be downtown especially with how diverse and authentic it is. Yes they have wifi, bathroom, and space to study. Not a bad place to post up and get some work done but there's not a TON of space. They've also debuted their brunch menu with some pretty delicious looking options I'd be happy to come back and try. I wish I knew about this place earlier!! I was looking for a quick brunch spot and stumbled upon this place. The truffle egg benedict was very tasty! Both eggs were poached nicely with a runny but not overly raw yolk. The muffins were toasted and crunchy on top, but not too hard or difficult to cut (iykyk). The truffle hollandaise sauce added an appropriate amount of truffle flavor without it being too overwhelming. The ratio of egg to salmon/veggie to muffin was perf! The prosciutto egg scramble was also tasty! The eggs were creamy, cheesy, and well-seasoned. The croffle was somewhat crispy on the outside with decently fluffy croissant layers on the inside. I would have enjoyed it more if it was warmer/ more toasted. Portion size was good for me, but a little small for my boyfriend. The butterscotch latte had a nice mix of espresso and sweet caramel-y butterscotch flavor. Would want to go back to try the Thai coffee, Es Yen! The place itself is very cute with a minimalistic aesthetic along with plants and a wall of cameras. Some indoor tables are available and a couple outdoor; probably can't accommodate larger groups. I walked in on a beautiful Sunday afternoon only to be greeted by pure and blatant ignorance. First and foremost, there is extremely minimal seating which was fine because I waited for a seat to open up, no big deal. Here's the worst part, on the tiniest, most unnoticeable sign reads "no laptops allowed on weekends", to which I did not even notice until my wife asked for the WiFi password to which she was rudely redirected to the sign, so we were not given the WiFi password and we had already ordered our overpriced coffees so we were stuck. We started working on our laptops because someone else was working on her iPad when we walked in (disclaimer, no one had addressed her) and then a worker had the audacity to come up to us and tell us to put our laptops away because of "their policy". Not only do I feel targeted and unfairly addressed, I wasted my afternoon lugging my backpack to the UES to come here specifically. I would like to apologize to the workers of Frame for not being privileged enough to be able to "unplug and chat" on a weekend, that's so my bad. 0/10 experience, would not recommend. read more

Came here one rainy morning to do some work. It's laptop friendly on the weekdays (there's a sign that says no laptops on weekends), and has WiFi. I think it was strong enough to surf the web but I've been having issues with cafe internets and my work laptop so I still had to use my personal hotspot. There's a part of me that desperately wants to gatekeep this place, but they deserve the WORLD, so here I am. I've come twice already after discovering that they existed in the last week. It is now my favorite cafe to do work in (they have free wifi!!)-- they have limited seating but both times I've come I've been able to find a spot at the stools. They have four tables, an area to sit at near the windowsill, and a long skinny 'communal' table next to the wall with four small stools. The vibe is absolutely perfect for working. Like, the first time I came, I sat next to a screenwriter. It's THAT perfect for working vibe. Also, I went to the bathroom because I trusted the people around me not to steal my laptop. THAT vibe. If you get me, you get me. The first time I came, I ordered the Es-Yen (Thai coffee with condensed milk). I'm not a huge coffee drinker because they tend to be too bitter for me, but this coffee was so smooth and had the exact right amount of sweetness to it because of the condensed milk. I've also had the maple latte, which was made with the same smooth coffee with the barest hint of maple. I wish the taste was stronger because part of me thinks that I was imagining the maple but nevertheless! I enjoyed it. I've also tried the chocolate croissant and the croffle (croissant waffle), both of which hit the spot. The croffle was chewy with a bit of flakiness like a croissant and covered in sticky sugar. Excellent brand New coffee cafe that I've been waiting for it to open for a while. This morning I already had my coffee but I'm having a spinach croissant. It was $5.72 with tax and it's delicious. The space is beautiful inside and comfortable. The decor is so very very cool! I could look at the cameras all day. They are going to have a more extensive menu but they just opened Friday. They have a unisex restroom in back. The employees are super nice. They appear pet friendly and children were enjoying their space while Dad had coffee. There's nothing NOT to like about this place. Frame is a wonderful, cozy coffee shop near Up Thai on 2nd Avenue, Upper East Side. The most interesting aspect of the shop is its ambiance. The vine leaves on exterior signage with delicate writing and rustic interiors made me feel comfortable, secure, and ready to write. Frame offers its own brunch menu which is delightful to see, adding to its charm. I'm eager to try the truffle egg's Benedict and their pancakes! I ordered an Americano with oatmilk which was surprisingly strong. While I'm happy they prepared my drink, the lid was not securely fastened and the coffee kept dripping on me. It's a forgiving issue though. Even though I love the coziness of this coffee shop, it was a little too compact sitting on the bench near the wall. They are also pretty strict about not bringing in outside food, so keep that in mind. Overall, lovely place and I'm excited to come back! read more
