I first found them back in 2021 and have been going back at least twice a year ever since. I drive almost two hours from Celina just to go back to them because of the great work that they do. Whether it's your first tattoo, or your 50th, they are the absolute best! They are extremely welcoming and want to bring your idea to life! I've had artists do work who clearly didn't care about the idea I had and just took the booking to get the sale. I had heard good things from people I work with about the shop and it was close by. The pricing was what I expected ($30 for the nose piercing). When we walked in the woman working that night I think was taking a quick break. She came back in and asked what we needed. We told her and she had us fill out the required paperwork and got a copy of my wife's ID. She was fairly easy going and fairly polite but I was kind of hoping for a more welcoming atmosphere. I don't want to say she was short because again she was polite but she was very much to the point. We had a couple people ahead of us so we waited a bit. They had a very tattoo shop like atmosphere which isn't really my scene. I'm the odd one with no piercings or tattoos myself. But, there was music playing that was a bit too loud for my taste. When it came time for the piercing there was a private booth that comfortably set my wife, the woman preforming the piercing and me. It would have comfortable held 1-2 more people. She prepared all the supplies and got he nose pierced pretty quickly. My wife didn't get to make a selection of what jewelry would be used initially which she was disappointed with because it was such a rushed process. That may be common but I was a little upset about that after the fact. She seemed rushed after getting the piercing completed but she explained how to clean the piercing. But, she didn't mention how long she was supposed to clean it and when it would heal to the point where she could change the piercing. I felt so rushed that I didn't push any further for information because I felt like I was inconveniencing her. I had to write down the after care instructions on my phone which again may be normal but having some printed after care instructions wouldn't be too much to ask. Not how I have always felt like a relationship with a tattoo/piercing parlor has been portrayed to me. Again, I've got 0 experience being in tattoo shop except for a few times with friends but all the other experiences I had were much more welcoming and seemed happy for the business. This experience felt more like we were an inconvenience. I gave if 4 stars because it was clean and although I was hoping for more hospitality and more details regarding the after care I would go back again. I do know that it will be quick and to the point.

The shop: It's nestled away in a medical complex in Mansfield, surrounded by chiropractors, pediatricians, and various other doctors offices. Not your typical shop next to a pizza joint or a condoms-to-go in a strip mall. Everything from the location, to the office itself feels clean, safe, and when walking through the doors, you know you're in for a top notch experience. This is a newer shop, but feels like home. They've done an amazing job decorating, and each artist has his/her own room to work in, as opposed to everyone being given a spot in a larger open room. It's quiet and gives the client the opportunity for discretion instead of taking clothing off in a room full of strangers. The artist: while I know that there are a few high quality artists that work at Dark Mark, I followed a specific artist there from a different tattoo shop. Cody Dresser is the best of the best. I have 12 tattoos, two of which have been done by him, and I will never go to another shop or another tattoo artist after his work. He is easily one of the best in the DFW metroplex. Everything (from his personality to his work as an artist) is of the highest quality. He makes each person walking through the door feel completely comfortable. During my first tattoo with him, he made a point to turn on my favorite show on Netflix (Supernatural) as a distraction, and sing Drake. My most recent tattoo from him (done yesterday) was an equally amazing experience. He turned on Game if Thrones and we talked about the show as we watched it. At no point did I feel like he was distracted by what was happening on TV, but felt like he was just a good friend who was as blown away as I was by the plot lines (and I just so happened to also be getting a tattoo). Four plus hours flew by with little to no pain, and I'm left with something amazing as a permanent reminder of my experience there. I can't say enough good things about Cody or about this shop.

I had a very disappointing experience at Top Line Top Nails with the manager, Loanne…read more I have been coming to this salon for about 10 years for pedicures, nails, and eyebrow waxing, so this experience was extremely shocking and disheartening. Before my appointment, I had been texting Loanne for about a week regarding the nail color and design I wanted. However, when I arrived, I was told the color I specifically requested was not available. Since we had already been communicating about it beforehand, this is something she should have told me prior to my appointment so I could have chosen another option ahead of time. Because the color wasn't available, I decided to switch to another color and move forward with a cat-eye design and a floral accent. Everything turned out fine except for the flower. The flower she created was very small, so I politely explained that I wanted a bigger flower design. She told me that due to the length of my nails, the flower had to be smaller. I explained that I understood her opinion, but since I was paying $140 for the design, I expected the flower to be done the way I wanted. Instead of trying to accommodate my request, she became rude and upset, raised her voice, and told me she was not going to redo the flower and that she would not make it bigger. I then politely asked if her daughter could redo it for me, and she immediately said no to that as well. At that point, I calmly explained that I was not trying to argue or create a negative environment. I simply asked her to remove what she had already done so I could go somewhere else and get my nails done the way I wanted. The interaction became very uncomfortable because she was loud and dismissive. After being a loyal customer for nearly a decade, I could not believe I was treated this way. It was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I will never step foot back in this establishment again. I expected better treatment after being a long-time customer. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon based on this experience.
