My mother in law gave my daughter piercings for her bday. She met us there, and took a tumble on her way in resulting in a gash on her head and blood everywhere. When I walked in, Josh was tending to her, cleaning her up and bandaging her gash on her head. He was so attentive and caring towards her. Leadership and service like that says a lot about bout a person and their business. I wanted to get a simple stick figure tattoo for my dad that just passed away 2weeks ago. And so I contacted ink817 through Instagram and I asked for someone w a really steady hand because it's going to be a line tattoo, and they recommended Daniel.. Daniel was really quiet, he doesn't talk a lot but I like that! I don't like chatty tattoo artist because sometimes I just want to put my headphones on and watch Netflix so I can ignore the pain. But he definitely did me right! His hands is so steady and he is very accurate and he did not miss, not even one line! Definitely will go back and get more tattoos from him! Thanks man! read more

This place is absolutely phenomenal. I came here last summer and got a tattoo by Derrick.... Wonderful. I was incredibly happy with it. He's very kind and professional. He is also on the quiet side (but not awkward lol) which is a HUGE plus for me personally. I can NOT handle getting tattoos so I don't wanna talk majority of the time anyways. Gave me plenty of breaks and just a really great experience overall. Long over due for a review. Sorry Derrick! :') I also came back today to get a new stud for my nose. Amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The guy up front, I think Will was his name, he needs a damn raise lol. He is SO professional, attentive, and just great energy all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He helped me pick some jewelry out and took me to the back where he politely seated me and had me wait for my piercer to switch my jewelry out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That being said.... miss Hannah, who switched out my jewelry is first of all, cool as hell looking haha and super sweet. After two attempts at a helix piercing at other locations, we found ourselves at Ink817. The owner and his staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating, and my kiddo walked out with a pretty new piercing. We flew back home to Michigan the following day, and within a couple of weeks discovered that the little gem had fallen out of her stud. When I let Josh know, he immediately mailed out a new set of studs to replace the broken one. Always the best service by the master Grace Roybal as my half sleeve of gorgeous old school style tats will show. Very disappointed in the customer service. They need artists who actually show up to their appointments. I have scheduled and rescheduled 25 appointments with Manuel since August (that's 8 months of absolute bullshit excuses or no excuse at all). I've had to reschedule these because he has either (1) canceled minutes before the appointment started, (2) changed the time the day of by 5+ hours--just for him to cancel again, or (3) never showed up and never responded to my messages. The most recent encounter, I confirmed with him 2 weeks, then 1 week, then the 3 days leading up to the appointment day confirming that the date and time still works--which he confirmed ... only for him not to respond the day of. And now, 4 days later, I still have not heard a single thing from him; yet, he's read the messages and has posted on social media since then. It's extremely unprofessional. He did this to my friend too. Her appointment was at 1. She didn't hear from him till 10 pm. His excused "I forgot to hit send." So, if you decide to go to this shop, be prepared to have unfinished tattoos. Especially if you book with Manuel. You will have a half-done, shitty-looking piece. My advice, just go to a different shop. There are plenty of good shops out there that actually care about tattooing and who actually care about their customers. Any disputes the shop tries to comment on here ... just know I have screenshots of Manuel not responding to messages. This shop should be ashamed of themselves for letting their artists ruin their shop's reputation. I've been getting tattooed for 6 years, and I've never experienced anything like this before. Absolutely shameful behavior! read more

I didn't think I would tell the whole internet that I pierced my nipples, but here I am. Last night I got my nipples pierced, it was a Friday so they had two piercers (Jake and Harmony). For nipples I suggest going when they have two piercers, so you can get both done at once. They were so professional. Both Jake and Harmony had excellent bedside manner. They made me feel so comfortable during this vulnerable experience. I can't say enough how professional they were!!! While marking me they touched as little as possible. They spent so much time marking and double checking the marks to ensure good placement. They checked in multiple times to make sure I comfortable and wasn't over stimulated. The piercing was super fast and went better then expected. The placement is PERFECT!! I can't say enough good things! Prior to this experience my daughter had her ears pierced there. They took extra time and care since she is a kid. I also got my second ear piercing there (also by Harmony). I've had multiple friends have good experiences at Ink817. I can't forget to mention, They have excellent prices. They are super clean and very conscious of sanitation. I wouldn't go anyplace else for a piercing! read more

Getting this piercing has been on my to-do for a while. So with the extra time during the holidays I decided to go ahead and get my nose piercing. What better place than Fort Worth own orginal historical code, Ink817. Those of you of a certain age with roots here feel me tho. *winky winky* The place sits tightly in the heart of downtown well populated Camp Bowie and University. This gem needs more sparkle cause you might miss it. A very open cozy twist to view the artist doing their work. The modern setup accommodates everyone's curiosity and payments. After I was friendly greeted, consent forms filled out and identity verified Gordi escorted me back to his area. Tools were packaged, cleaned and laid out on tray. Gordi made me feel calm with confidence in his visibly bodied work of art that he beautifully adorned. With my eyes closed and a tuff stick it was over with a tear of relief. The little zirconia gave just the sparkle a gurl like me wanted. My sister and I came here for my birthday to get a piercing together. We both got the industrial piercing. Friendly people. Clean shop. Heather was great. My son wanted his lobes pierced so I took him to her a few days later. Minors need to show birth certificates or proof that you're their parent. I was searching for a place to take my bestie to get her nose repierced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Josh was super helpful on the phone and Shawn was incredible in person.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He explained that since she'd had a piercing before that he could use gauges to stretch it out rather than retraumatizing it with a needle. Highly disappointed with my piercing. First time getting snake bits and have to take them out because it was pierced to shallow. I was under the impression that she put the correct peeing in for swelling however did not so I had to go back to get a bigger gauge. The piecer is a lovey women however I didn't feel she was experienced. Love the way they look however I'm really upset that I have to know get them done CORRECTLY a second time. read more

I got my conch pierced about a week ago, they put a hoop in and honestly it's so painful I've been cleaning it but it still hurts. I'm wondering it a stud would be less painful while it heals also would it possible for me to have y'all switch?

Yes it will be significantly less painful with a stud. Starting a conch piercing off with a hoop as the initial jewelry is extremely unadvisable for that very reason. Come by and my piercer will switch it out for you.

She patiently helped me decide on the perfect placement for my new piercing. The piercing itself was quick and not as painful as I was expecting. When I started to feel a little woozy after my piercing, she was quick to help and did not make me feel bad or embarrassed. Check out was super quick and I left with clear aftercare instructions. I can come back in about a month to have my piercing checked out and downsized. Cuda did a phenomenal job at explaining and breaking down the whole process. He also elevated my husband's original idea into something unique whilst still keeping the elements that my husband wanted. I got a lantern done by Rocky. Rocky took the pictures I had shown him and created something more personal to me. He also was quick to adjust what I liked and disliked. During the session, Rocky was pleasant to talk to and made sure I was doing well for the whole process. Overall, we both are thrilled with our tattoos and will be back to finish/get new ones from the two artists mentioned. It's worth the three hour drive from Oklahoma to Texas for us!

While explaining the risks of the piercing she asked if she would be swimming in the next 3 months, stating "You are risking an infection next to your brain." She then cautioned her on air travel in the next 3 months. We have a trip in four weeks. My daughter asked if that was long enough after the piercing. Mady stated, "there is a real risk of your ear lobes swelling due to the altitude and you needing to have your earrings surgically removed. I have been a family practice PA for the last seventeen years. I am well versed in explaining risks of procedures to patients and how to care for wounds. This language was completely unnecessary, especially for a twelve-year-old. I will also add, I had a completely different experience 2 years ago with my other daughter. I was terribly disappointed. We went to Renaissance tattoo and had a fantastic first piercing experience.

Our friends wanted a tattoo so we tagged along, yet my wife ended up getting her nose pierced. The guy that did it was super nice after he warmed up to us. Was a bit stand offish, maybe because it was late, but he helped my wife and got her set up. He was super patient, making sure the piercing went in just the right spot to match the other one she already had on the other nostril. Was a very pleasant experience. The tattoo artists use the newer tat machines that don't make any noise. Just seems odd to not hear the buzzing. Tho after a bit, on artist ended up using one, it was a pleasant sound.
