I requested HVAC inspection/ cleaning twice a year, over the phone and chose to pay monthly the amount of 21.30 usd. The first time they came to inspect my heating unit, they suggested me to have the UV light system I have optionally installed (for the antibacterial purpose) for the amount if 1800 usd. I refused, instead I purchased a 60 usd new uv light bulb online, and the system works fine. Months later, they called me to schedule a new service appointment, which I assumed to be for the A/C unit. They have a 5 hour wait time period for their technicians arrival, on a week day, so I always have to take time off from work for that. At the end of the day, they called to reschedule, as the technician got stuck on another job. So I take another day off to wait and they fo come to perform an unsolicited electrical inspection. I get again useless and outrageous quotes for things that were supposedly 'not code compliant'. I own a townhouse, everything was code compliant and the time it was built, and their suggestions would apply to the exterior of the building, which is not even the owner's responsibility, but the HOA's. Few months later, they finally come again to inspect the AC. Afterwards I called them to cancel the monthly payment for these services that I found to be useless, inconvenient and some unsolicited! They told me I have to keep paying monthly up to 1 year, even so originally, per our phone conversation, it was undisclosed that it would be a yearly contract. So even after my cancelation request, my credit card on file got charged again. At this point I want to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Si beware of what to get into! I had a water pipe break under my house and needed a plumber to come and repair it. I called Blaze Air to have someone come to my house. Anthoony was there in less than two hours. After inspecting the problem he gave me three options for the repair. I chose to have everything replaced. Anthony told me he would be back in the morning to replace it. He set it up so I would have water overnight and left. The next morning he returned right on time and finished the repair in the amount of time he told me it would take. After testing that it was done right he thanked me and left. read more

Very expensive. $99 plus tax just for the tech dispatch, but that cost - if you get the actual work done by them - gets credited to your bill. Sounds great (unless once the plumber gets out and shows you their prices and you can't stomach moving forward). After that experience, I found all the 1- and 2-star reviews. By the way, although not a franchise, Blaze Heating, Cooling, Electrical & Plumbing is a home services company owned by Apex Service Partners, which acquires local home service providers. 3 weeks and two separate issues for my AC. The line was clogged. The technician who came out scooped out insulation from the end of pipe but apparently needed to completely clear the line and best practice would be to use bleach. Didn't do that. Then another problem where AC running but not cooling. 2100$ and a contract with company. Had to wait until the next week with no air. When it stopped working on July 4 th after all that time and money only worked for 4 days. They had no one to come. Thank goodness for Darren with A- Action. He came within 30" and had it fixed within the hour . Used bleach and cleared the line. Blaze was fired. The woman answering the phone is reason enough to never use Blaze. There was no fee since we're on a monthly subscription plan with them. Whenever they're headed your way, they always call or send a text to inform you. We like having Blaze as our HVAC company. I called Blaze for 2 reasons when we found out our normal HVAC guy was out of town. This was our 1st call to Blaze in the 20yrs we have been in HP. 1. They "supposedly" had a 4.8 star review 2. They were veteran owned. I called on Fri afternoon because our upstairs unit had quit working. They had an opening on Sun from 8-12pm and I booked it. On Sat I confirmed it. on Sun at 12:15 we had not heard anything and I called them. They said they would contact dispatch and file our request as urgent. By 1:45 not a word, so I called back. I was told they had issues and someone would be at our house later in the afternoon. At 4:40pm I get a Text, not a call, a text saying they were not going to be able to come, that they had emergencies they had to get to, but they would try and put us in for Monday. For 3 nights in the DEAD HEAT of summer this company didn't think a 90 degree upstairs was an emergency. Not only did I call back, I told them I didn't want them tomorrow and I was going to post a "Blazing" review here and on my neighborhood Facebook pg for 350+ homes to see. Beware of Blaze - Predatory Tactics and Zero Transparency If I could give zero stars, I would. We called Blaze because our AC went out, and they had great reviews on Google (wish we'd checked Yelp). When scheduling the appointment, they specifically asked what kind of AC unit we had. We told them exactly what it was. When they arrived, they immediately told us they don't work on our type of AC and that our only option was to replace the entire unit. Then came the real kicker: they launched into an hour-long, high-pressure sales pitch trying to sell us a $24,000 replacement system. We declined. But here's the part that really set us off: they charged us $185 for the privilege of sitting through their sales pitch, despite knowing from the start that they wouldn't (and couldn't) service our existing unit. This feels deceptive and predatory. If you're considering Blaze, I'd strongly encourage you to read their Yelp reviews before believing the Google hype. We left this experience feeling scammed, frustrated, and absolutely certain we'll never call them again. The good news? Well I can't really say much about the quality of their work because I never got that far. What I can say is that their front end customer service is terrible. Had two separate phone calls to set up a weekend appointment for Sunday for an extremely easy job that I just didn't feel like messing with. Blaze obviously uses some third party answering service and one hand doesn't talk to the other. Long story short they cancelled the appointment less than twenty four hours before they were supposed to be at my house. The answering service had no idea why when I called after waiting for the tech or a phone call from them (which is what I was instructed to do). So if your in Sanford NC I do not recommend this company. I will be patient and wait till Monday so I can get M.R. Stoner to come handle my install. They don't work on the weekends but using them has always resulted in a customer focused experience for me. read more

This company does legalized theft! They charged$1300 for a $75part that retailed on Amazon to install. Hence $700 labor for less than 2 hours work for total $2000 service call.They estimated and charged us for 4 hours when they knew it took only 2 hours at most.BLAZE could not tell me the labor cost for the job but to say the service technician was efficient! I say the the service technician padded the job SINCE THEY WORK on COMMISSION! Service technician KNEW this was not a 4 hour job! Blaze literally can bill out 16 hours of work in an 8 hour day. This is a legal way of stealing. STAY AWAY from this company... get others quotes see for yourself how bad they are with service call. My experience with Blaze began one year ago as an emergency call when my water heater failed on a Saturday morning. Out of seven or eight calls, Blaze was the only service provider to return my phone call. Their service technician Dwayne showed up in a couple of hours and by sundown. I had hot water. Over the past year I have requested Blaze to send Dwayne to my house three other times including today for various plumbing issues. All issues have been resolved to my satisfaction and if another plumbing issue arises, I will request Dwayne again. I will admit I pay more for Blaze than I actually want to and if I really searched, could probably get the work done for less, but Blazes' quick service response won my loyalty. read more

I would highly avoid this company. After purchasing a membership ~2 years ago, which includes a yearly plumbing, HVAC, and electrical inspection and "jump the line" prioritization when making a house call, we have had to jump through HOOPS to get any appointment scheduled and fulfilled. Most recently, our yearly plumbing inspection was cancelled same-day and rescheduled 3 different times, with the latest scheduled appointment accompanied with no-showing during the scheduled block of time, no call to reschedule, etc. I had to call the company myself to ask where they were and then was told "we got busy with other calls so can't make it today". We recently had a plumbing issue so called to get a tech out to take a look. Was told "we'll call you back with an ETA" and never did. It took me 3 times of reaching out (with each call ending with "we'll call you back with an ETA") to realize no one was coming. Beware!! I spent 50k on two units just over a year ago. They have not worked correctly for more than 30 days at a time. It started with failing county inspections multiple times. They care more about the sale than you getting a quality product. I supposedly have their "top of the line". Everyone has been friendly, but no one is able to keep the system going. the technicians from this company are very good....however the company is completely incapable of keeping an appointment or communicating with its customers, my last 3 appointments with them went like this: winter check up (I have...soon to be had a maintenance contract with them), when I contacted them in November they could not come out until March...then for my summer check up, they were supposed to be here in the "afternoon", showed up around 6:30, I then schedule an attic fan replacement for a Monday, THEY called back and asked to move it to Saturday AM...never showed, tech called at 12:30 to state that "Saturdays are only for emergencies" and he would come on Monday, I will be taking my business elsewhere and do not recommend read more

I was told that I was on the schedule but did not have a time yet. At noon I still did not hear from Blaze Air, so I called them again and was told they did not have an ETA but someone would come. Slimy, dishonest company. I bought a brand new system from them in 2020, no problems there. However it went out this week. On Tuesday I called to make an appointment for this afternoon (Thursday). I stayed home from work in preparation for my appointment. I get a text this morning asking me what day NEXT WEEK I can reschedule. I called and spoke to Michelle, who was very nice and apologetic, however she said there wasn't anything she could do. Apparently, they'll bump non-members, even if they're having an emergency like I am, and even though I spent thousands of dollars with them a couple of years ago, to get to members first. This is so slimy, unprofessional, and dishonest, that they made my appointment just to bump me the day of, after there's nothing else I can do. First off, they should've kept my appointment that I made two days prior. But, if they couldn't get to me, they should've let me know yesterday so I could have gone into the office. Also, their whole "membership" just seems slimy to me altogether. Why would I need two free visits a year, if they installed my HVAC correctly? Like are they anticipating (and hoping??) that my HVAC busts? I shouldn't need to pay more, to keep the appointment I made days ago, just so you can bump me for someone who is paying $256/year to be a "member." If they are going to have this slimy membership, shouldn't I get free membership if I paid thousands of dollars a couple of years ago for a brand new system? Overall very disappointed. read more

Ben Steffey came to diagnose an intermittent problem that caused system shutdown. From daily to Weekly to Monthly. Ben rewired connections to board in fan unit housing and outside at the compressor. WE will see if this solved the problem. Ben was very personable. read more

Worst system ever. System doesn't cool to temperature and never stops running. Only stops when I turn it off. Even if it cools to temperature still keeps running. Electric bill is high. Wish I would have bought from someone else. System is under warranty but is never fixed. Service man came out before and replaced thermostat but still doing same thing. First scheduled visit (9am - 12PM) , no one showed up. I eventually called at 3:30 in the afternoon. Person on the phone was very polite and apologetic. Rescheduled for another day. When that day came I was called this time but told they could not make it that day and need to reschedule for the following week - that's now two days of my schedule being effected (very inconvenient for a number of reasons, the main one is the delay effects another contractor coming out after the electrical is dealt with - I can say he was not happy I cancelled him twice, to the point he wants to charge me. Bottom line I cancelled Blaze and calling someone else. If you're calling them be sure to get some level of commitment but then basically don't count on them showing up that day. read more
