The first couple of times, we came here well over a year or so, and we were very pleased. Everything was great, from service to food. Today I couldn't be more disappointed in the service. Everyone had an attitude. No one smiled or greeted us. 2 of the staff members just stood there looking dumb founded. No one wanted to work. They barely sprinkle any ingredient on. Hours after eating this pizza I got violently sick and a week after I found out I had a bad form of food poisoning that most likely was picked up from an employee not properly washing their hands or preparing food adequately. Do not come here unless you have all the time in the world. We walked in and were the 4th party in line and were 30 min standing in line, ordering and getting to the checkout. The staff was polite when waiting on you but they are in desperate need of a process improvement. There were 4 people working and not one of them had any sense of urgency or moved with any pace. They take online orders and put them in line making those customers standing in the restaurant waiting to have their order taken wait. Each person seemed to float to whatever job they wanted to do with no teamwork or sense of a strategic plan on how to most efficiently serve the customers. Pizzas are $7.95 and two could split one, depending on your appetite. The pizzas are cooked in a fire oven and are done within a few minutes. Crispy edges and cooked in the middle to perfection. Don't be fooled by a long line - it goes rather quickly and you can find a table with no problem. When the weather is nice, definitely sit outside. I've been wanting to try this place for a while so I grabbed my mom and took her with me to check it out! I built my own, regular crust. I got classic red sauce, mozzarella, goat cheese, chicken, red onion, chopped garlic and green bell peppers topped with oregano. For starters, having goat cheese as an option is AMAZING because goat cheese is so so so tasty. Overall the pizza was cooked well, nice crisp on the crust while still a nice "chew" as well. The macros were also amazing, my whole pizza was only 29g of fat, 96g carbs and 40g of protein. For a pizza, pretty stellar macros. Mom's pizza was also tasty, not sure exactly what all was on it. All the toppings looked fresh, nicely cut and prepared. What I'm assuming was the manager approached my mother and I, very kindly asking how we were doing. He then approached us again and asked how the food was and everything. That's ALWAYS a plus, it shows true compassion and care about how your customers are doing so to you, thank you. Also, crazy affordable! Two whole pizzas only $17 and some change!! A lot of good pizza places, one pizza with minimal toppings would cost that. At Blaze, you get unlimited toppings on your pizza as well I might add for no additional charge (on most items). The only negative of the experience, each step of the way the person making my pizza would ask "is that it" after each item I mentioned I would like on my pizza. It was a bit bothersome, I was simply thinking what I would like next. I've been to quite a few of these new, build your own, Chipotle style pizza places. This one is pretty good. The pizza is closest to being described as Neapolitan, which is great. Super thin with emphasis on the ingredients. I did notice that instead of hand tossing their dough they use a press, which is not my favorite. I got the BBQ chicken pizza, and while it was tasty, it was lacking in both cheese and sauce. My wife built her own pizza with gluten free crust. She enjoyed it, but the crust was soggy in the middle and burnt on the outsides (I know, it's tough to make a great gluten free pizza, but if it's on the menu, it should be great). The service, while friendly, seemed a bit overly talkative. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it (sarcasm) when people ask my name, then immediately ask North or South and laugh as much as the next Dakota in line, but they just wouldn't drop it. Stupid complaint, I know, but hey, this is my review and I can write what I want. :) In all, I will come back and ask for more sauce and cheese and eat plenty more s'mores cookies because, while pricey at $2 a cookie, cmon, they're freaking s'mores cookies. read more

But the problem isn't that there were a lot of customers in store. The problem is the 6-10 online orders that get filled in between every customer standing in line. Just a thought customers in the store should get there orders first. The worst part isn't waiting; it's watching other people's orders being made and the customer isn't even in the store. But what happens after you pay is the worst, the credit card asks for a tip. No way, who am I tipping and for what? First time today, went in to try the keto crust. The problem is that the website doesn't tell you that the keto crust is an extra four dollars per pizza! Since they are small I tried 2 keto pizzas. As other reviewer's have noted there is no consistency to the product. First Pizza came out crispy, it was ok. Second pizza had a lot more cheese and was undercooked. Another family member got a regular pizza which they liked. But $28 for three pizzas is very expensive given how small they are. Since I don't eat regular pizza, and I'm trying to eat a low-carb diet I'm not sure I'll be back. The keto pizza was just OK. Not your typical pizza. You can create your pizza or choose one of their few options. They bake the pizza over an open fire so it comes out fast. You stand in line to order the pizza before you can have a seat. The line was long when we walked in. I had the idea to order online while waiting so it'd be ready when we got up front. That's a no go. There is no advantage to ordering online because they don't bake it until you get to the counter. There is no separate line for mobile app or online orders The pizza cooks so fast it wouldn't matter. You also fill your drinks. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza. It has grilled chicken, mozzarella, red onion, banana peppers, gorgonzola, and bbq sauce drizzle. I opted out of red onions. The pizza was all right. It dry because they don't use a sauce under the cheese. The bbq should be used as the sauce instead of applying it after the pizza is baked. Next time I'll try a different pizza. read more

I was shocked how much I liked this - a fun concept with diverse options and the pizza is darn good. Someone else mentioned that it is like Neapolitan pizza, and I agree. Thin-ish crust with some bubbly burnt (in a a good way) places, fresh and flavorful toppings, and fast and pretty much for one price ($7.95) no matter what you get. The gluten free crust is decent. As someone else mentioned, the edges were burnt and the center a bit soggy, but I ended up rolling each piece like you do NY Style pizza and had no problems. Try the ovaline mozzarella! I was shocked when I saw it and it is soooo good!. The biggest surprise of the night was an excellent draft and bottle craft beer selection! Founders, Two Brothers (both Prairie Path and Wobble IPA), Scrimshaw, and some Ace ciders. I think maybe 8 choices overall, plus a couple of (meh) wines. The staff were mixed, from friendly and on top of things, to trying to be friendly and...a little slow on the uptake, but overall a very good experience and we will definitely be back. read more
