Really didn't know what to expect when I signed up but was pleasantly surprised by the adventure. I rafted with Ryan, a true professional in his craft and avid outdoorsman. He covered safety, gear and the trip with ease. Then captained the River with 8 of us - and crushed it! As someone who spent 5 years as a zipline tour guide in Maui, I can easily spot enthusiasm, originality and attention to safety; Ryan easily had all three accounted for. We White Water Rafted on the Brown's Canyon trip with Scott, and did the Sunset Jeep tour with Spencer and Kyle (and Cowboy Tom Paxton) during the first week of June. All guides were FANTASTIC, and they sure know how to show you a good time. The office staff (Cody, Jenn, John) were friendly, attentive, helpful and cordial. They were on-time for pickups. The rafting: We had a nice drive through the Independence path. Scott showed us where there had been avalanches, told us about the pass year round, talked about points of interest such as the Ice Grotto, Devil's Punch Bowl, the Teddy's Bear story, ghost town, etc.. Since it was just our group, we stopped at the Continental Divide for our hike through the snow (June! elev 12K feet!) to the signs. They provided wet suits, booties, helmets - protection against the very frigid water, and briefed us with instructions and all of the safety protocols. It was so much fun! He was flexible with how the group wanted to approach the rafting, allowing us to stop for lunch at the end of all of the rapids, instead of the middle. Beautiful, fun trip. The Sunset dinner jeep outing was a surprising jewel. Spenser drove us around the mountain, up the trail as far as the unmelted snow would allow. We were able to stop, get out and take pictures. He conveyed many stories about the winter version of the Snowmass area. When we arrived at the dinner area, Kyle was busily arranging a nice buffet for us. We could sit and relax and make requests of Cowboy Tom who played the guitar and harmonica(s). There was also horse shoes and lassos with straw bulls to practice on. We really enjoyed talking to the musician about his history, his collaborations with John Denver and his original music. We had chips with homemade guacamole (delish), vegetable soup (delish), choice of ribs, burgers, salmon, with sides of salad, rolls, mac n' cheese... Again.. delish! Dinner was topped off with smores fixings and brownies! We really enjoyed the sing along, and our singing enticed a bear out of his hiding... he checked us out from afar, decided our singing wasn't good, and went back into the woods :) . All of us (young ;) and younger adults) felt it was spiritually relaxing, and a great time. We were glad we did it. read more

We rented e-bikes & came nowhere near using up all the battery-- plenty leftover, so they keep their inventory well-maintained. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Blazing Adventures took great care of us from start to finish, and we are headed home with some awesome memories! Our family rented e-bikes that we picked up from their Aspen location, and we rode to the Maroon Bells. Then we hiked up to Crater Lake. This was the best way to see the spectacular views and breathe that fresh mountain air! Later in the week, we had an amazing half day rafting trip with Blazing Adventures on the Upper Roaring Fork river (class 3). From the beginning, we knew we were in good hands with a well organized and professional company. We received phone and email confirmations with reminders for our upcoming reservations. Any questions were easily addressed and answers could be found on their website. We were picked up promptly at a location within walking distance of our Snowmass condo in a very comfortable new van (expertly driven by Kate) for our short ride over to our raft launch location. During our ride, our raft guide, Talbott, gave us clear and succinct instructions for how to have a safe rafting experience. Talbott was very professional, knowledgeable, and fun. He provided an excellent experience for everyone in our group, which included our 12 & 15 year old sons. We were outfitted with quality wet suits, booties (river water is COLD and you will get wet!) and a choice of a long sleeve zip up neoprene jacket or a splash jacket. We had the perfect level of thrill with some exciting rapids, and we were able to enjoy some beautiful views along the river as well. At the end of our trip, Blazing provided a variety of snacks and drinks, which was an added nice touch. I would recommend this family owned business to anyone. They are very professional and have decades of experience. We are very grateful for the attention to detail Blazing executed, and we're taking home some wonderful family memories! read more

We went on the 11th on a half day trip at the Lower Roaring Fork. My group was led by Natalie who was amazing. She made the trip funny, exciting and very entertaining! It even started to hail and lightening started to strike but she continued to stay positive and have a good outlook on the situation saying not everyone gets to experience rafting with that weather. The trip itself was really scenic and exciting! We saw bald eagles, nests, and different types of mountains along the way! Also, wetsuits, splash jackets, and boots provided in the cost which saves you a lot of money cause other services charge you rent fees or make you buy your own. Coming down from Maroon bells is not the safest for inexperienced riders. There are cars and busses coming down the road with you. There were a couple of kids who fell on the side of the road. This was an amazing trip! We were a group of girls who had zero experience and they made us feel safe but still make sure we had a good time. We did the ducky tour were you each of your individual boat, and it was a blast. Our guides were Erica,Drew, and Bree, and they were amazing. Sidenote: Drew won't be your guide unless you're part of a bachelorette party because he is super hot and super experienced so he usually does more experience tours( which is also why we were super safe). Make sure to request him if you "need" him. My friend said her biggest regret from the bachelorette party is not making out with Drew. Also, like I said, it's an amazing experience. read more

Amazing day! My son (21) and I had a great day doing numbers on the Arkansas River. Danielle and Murph were our raft Guides and we had a blast on Friday. Our 4 guides really prepared us for the river then acted very calm and helpful while making me relax, since I was worried we were in over our heads. (Didn't even come close to tipping or falling out.) One suggestion- perhaps it could be mentioned on web that tips are appreciated, so newbies can plan to bring $ ahead of time. I didn't have much cash on me but gave them all I had. BUT 10 young professionals didn't tip the 4 Guides that went above and beyond to make our day fun and safe while learning about local history in the area. read more

My brother and I were traveling to the Snowmass/Aspen area and wanted to participate in some outdoor activities. We originally booked a whitewater rafting trip and jeep tour with Blazing Adventures. Our rafting trip was amazing (our guide was Jordan and she was great!) and we definitely want to go again. Unfortunately our jeep tour had to be cancelled because there weren't enough people but the staff was great about notifying us, offering us different options for rescheduling or booking a different type of activity, and eventually giving a prompt refund as that was the option we chose.
