The pour overs are great! I tried their Mexican and Guatemala roasts, and both were fantastic! The Mexican had nice sweet bites, and the Guatemala was fruity and smooth. I'd highly recommend both. The espresso, on the other hand, was terrible. Almost no crema, and very bitter. In taking off a star for that. Come enjoy a pour over here, but avoid the espresso! read more

The coffee is amazing delicious! Beautiful shots of espresso. I truly appreciate the craftsmanship of the beans and the pull. However, I'm disappointed and surprised that given the emphasis on organic and fair trade beans, they do not offer more milk options in keeping with the quality of their beans and espresso. They don't have any organic milk or even 2%. They offer only whole fat, highly processed milk or Silk Soy or Silk Almond (not the organic options). The staff are friendly. I liked the mocha coffee that I ordered, it has a rich taste. The first time I sipped it, I thought it was a hot cacao (authentic chocolate), the bitterness taste of coffee is at the very end, kind of the aftertaste. Loved it! Price is less than 5$ which I should say is pretty decent for a quality product. The shop has a trendy construction feel, it's kind of a cafe for men due to its very basic, simple ambiance and interior design. I think it's a unique cafe though, who would think that a basic building feel, would offer great coffee? Right? With regards to location... At first it was a little hard to locate to and we thought we Are lost cuz we ended up in the storage area buildings, but we kind of looked around and it was on the other side of it. So, it was cool, funny, a bit of an adventure perhaps for visitors like us. I had no idea this place existed and I drove all the way from the west side for their coffee. Let me tell you, it was worth it. I had a cold brew Mexican coffee with a little bit of cream and no sugar. The coffee was really good. Wanted to get some work done but because of their limited hours I didn't get much done (they close at 4pm). The space is good but the seats are not very comfortable, so I wouldn't want to sit there too long. Overall,the coffee is excellent, customer service was great, and not expensive at all. Umm ever been in that little coffee shop oddly placed on the east side???? Well I recommend it, walking in the environment is interesting everything is sort of backwards. As you gaze to the back you see this old fashioned machine for the coffee. It smells delightful and I am all about wonderful coffee. The service is impeccable and their baristas are all passionate. The owners are local and they have traveled to many places to explore the variety of coffee beans they sell in their store! As you turn to your left you can see on the chalkboard the different coffee beans being used in your coffee and where they originated. Order anything it will be fantastic, and you can buy your coffee beans for your French press.... I heard they opened a new location on Cincinnati street. Yum!!!! read more

In high school I used to loooove going to Kristophs, especially since it was the only local place on the Eastside. After it closed I had to go back to drinking starbucks, until a few years ago this gem opened! By far, the best coffee in El Paso. I go almost everyday, and the service is always friendly and great. They are knowledgable in what they do, and are excellent at answering questions. Their Guatemala roast is great, along with their Mexico blend. I usually just buy the beans to make at home and order lattes, or cold brew when I'm on the go. I hope this place stays around, it deserves more attention!! (And better hours so I can go at all times of the day to feed my addiction!!) read more

BLDG 6 Coffee roasters was a breath of fresh air for El Paso coffee drinkers. With the only other place to go in town being 2Ten, I was immediately a fan of BLDG 6. Their roasters are very knowledgeable and are welcoming to experienced or novice coffee drinkers alike. The pour over was delicious if a tiny bit muddled by a lower temperature than ideal. The beans sold here are within the range of Good and Spectacular. Which is to say the consistency of the coffee roasters is not as refined as it could be, however, the beans are still very much so above the average in the area. The baristas are also in the same range, not being an aged coffee shop and hiring aspiring baristas the quality can be hit and miss. Overall good but has the potential to be really great. Pricing is good and the seating is reasonable considering the space available. read more

BLDG 6 is one of a few places in El Paso where you can get real specialty coffee. They roast in-house and sell their coffee to other local shops, but don't bother buying it from anywhere but the source. Their baristas are well-trained at espresso-based drinks, latte art, and pour-over - which they offer from their v60. Usually they have 6-10 roasts available for purchase in whole-bean or ground form, in 16oz, 12oz, or 8oz bags. A great place to buy coffee if you like to brew at home. The first time I came here I bought a cold brew almond milk. I really enjoyed my drink. I went back a second time and ordered the same thing and bought some beans, toast and a hot chocolate. I ended going back because my cold brew tasted too much like milk. All I wanted was a little coffee added to my drink, but I was confronted by an egoistic lady who works there. She did not want to take my coffee back and told me, " I asked you if you wanted the cold brew with a little milk or the almond cold brew, it says it right there look at the menu, I can't take it back" She made me get my credit card to CHECK what coffee I got last time. She gave me a hard time after all I had purchased and basically calling me a liar. She said she always makes it the same way and has been doing it for 8 years. Well I was a barista for quite awhile too. But I was never rude to my customers. I may had liked your coffee but customer service is everything to me. read more

Coffee for the purist! Craft brew that is straight and to the point. Beautiful space with a clean, crisp decor (no frills). These are clearly master roasters, so this is not the place for the coffee drinker who loves commercial coffee. Coffee only... No bakery items, but they do sell their roasts. Fantastic pour over... The coffee's beautiful the facilities pretty hip and modern and good coffee is what you're looking for this is the place. If you work there you'll be able to find it by wandering around the buildings until you get there if you're not it sure looks like a big industrial area and you're wondering what on Earth would someone put a coffee shop here for. The best coffee in El Paso! Coming from LA, there used to be high-end boutique cafes with super pricey coffee that were the only alternative to Starbucks for someone with as discerning taste. I got tipped off to Bldg 6 by a friend of my husband, and I was absolutely stunned by the prices and quality. At first, I didn't get the impression that this was a place that you can order individual drinks, but apparently they do, thanks to fellow Yelpers! Came here to order an individual Mocha drink, which cost a freaking $5.25. Wow. It was the most expensive item probably because of the addition of organic fair chocolate. I guess so. If it has to have this kind of chocolate in there and be this expensive, then it better be darn good. But no, I wasn't too impressed since it was too bitter for me and came in small volume. I've had more inventive and delicious coffee cheaper than this and in a bigger volume size. By the way, I didn't realize that all their individual coffees came standard with 2 expresso shots. Um, sure, but why? If you don't want too much expresso, I must warn that perhaps you should say this right at the get-go. I'm glad though that the barista stated to this me, but it was AFTER it was made. I wish she said it earlier. I haven't tried their other drinks, but perhaps I might come back again but with a request of only one shot versus two, if possible. If not possible, then I probably won't. Anyway, it's a pretty cute cafe with a trendy style. It actually looks cool to sit there and go on your computer and sit to drink coffee...oh WAIT...there's no free wifi. There are no pastries either to go with your coffee, so that's a bummer as well. I think all you can do is sit, drink, and talk with your buddy(s), which is def a good thing considering we get so isolated with our technology these days, but it's the only thing you can do. If you're looking for a place to study with internet, don't go here. If you want to catch up with your friend in a not so crowded cafe, then this could be a good place. Apparently Bldg 6 doesn't give samples, and customers just need to take their word that their coffee is good enough to buy. So this is one of my favorite coffee places is in town. I come here to get fresh roasted coffee. Since I have an espresso machine that's what I usually go for. I love the aroma in this place. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The service is always good and the staff is very knowledgable on their coffee. The latte art is well presentable and great price for such a great product. I'm giving it 3 stars because the coffee is good but I ordered 2 iced Americano with extra ice & extra room, they did not give me the extra room & measured out my cream in what looked like maybe an oz little cream holder & when I asked for more they said I had to pay for another oz/shot of cream & the older lady working there tried to tell me it was specialty coffee. I told her I have bought Americans all over the United states & no one has ever charged me extra for extra cream. I would understand if I had filled my cup half way with cream but when they mark up the price of even good espresso 100 or more percent then charge you extra for cream that's an issue & I told them so, that I would probably not be back if that is the case. So if you are like me and usually have a little extra cream in your coffee, be prepared to pay more. read more
