Fair, like the weather lately. The menu is big while the shop is small. You can order wraps, salads, juices, smoothies, and acai bowls; definitely a nice change of pace compared to heavier items elsewhere. Bought a chicken wrap and a juice that set me back $16+ and a couple bucks for the tip jar; kind of expensive like Manhattan prices but whatever, I was willing to fork over the money just to eat something different than the usual tacos and Chinese food. Result? Not bad and would like to order again but will definitely call ahead because even though there were no customers I still had to wait a bit. Terrible owner / manager. My daughter was super thirsty (been in the heat for some time and really wanted water). We just happened to pass by this store and I went in to pick up a bottle of water for $1. I didn't have any cash on me and the worker at the register confirmed it was okay to pay with card and had already taken my card payment. The owner scolded her for doing so and that he would lose $. Meanwhile my child was literally opening the bottle. I had to take it out of her hand and put it back on the fridge. She was crying. I mean how much could a bottle of Poland spring water cost at bulk?! I work in the Digital Payment system, I understand how transaction fees are done. Square specifically charges 2.5% + 10 cents per transaction. That's 0.125 cents. That meant 0.875 will still go to the business. You're telling me that water cost you more than 80 cents to purchase on bulk?! On average (without even wholesale deal) it's like $4.99 for 24 pack. That's 0.208 cents per bottle. I don't know about you but the math doesn't seem to be putting on me the negative specifically for this one transaction. On a more serious note, anyone with a heart would have given it for free to a crying child who's out in the heat in thirst. No heart. Will never patronize this establishment ever again. Used to come here to get mediocre sandwiches at desperate times. Not even that will happen. Their food are okay. Not the best but the one that I always go to especially when I'm sick when i pregnant for second time. But the worst thing is they always fucked up my order. They never seem to put teriyaki sauce in teriyaki plate, and what worst that they don't even care to make it right. They are very generous with said toppings, loading my salad with avocado, huge chunks of fresh mozzarella, and whatever else I order. Definitely worth the money. Their smoothies are delicious and you can opt to add things in like protein, creatine, etc. I once tried their protein brownie and wasn't thrilled with it, but it's likely that I wouldn't enjoy it from anywhere else, either. My girlfriend had ordered here yesterday for dinner and she ordered me a steak mango salsa wrap. I don't eat my steak ever well done or even medium done. I like it medium rare. As possible. The place itself is fairly small and there's just enough space for a few people to order and stand to the side. I ordered a lentil soup and a power salad to go and was really excited, as there's really no other soup or salad place in the area, except maybe fuel, which I think is very overpriced for no reason. The service was friendly and quick. The food looked decent and fresh but for a $10 salad and a $5 soup I expect a little bit more. Not sure why but the soup was very very salty to the point where it was giving me a burning sensation. It's a shame because it was pretty good otherwise. The salad did not impress. There was a ton of spinach, with some fresh tomatoes (they don't have cherry tomatoes :/), some feta, quarter of an avo and walnuts. It wasn't chopped or tossed, so I had a bit of a hard time mixing it afterwards. Not a huge deal but that extra touch would be nice, considering the place was empty. At first I was skeptical to order from here just because many health food places forget to add flavor to the food but this place is actually very good. The chicken was great and so is the açaí bowl.
