Blenders in the grass reminds me of Jamba Juice. So, if you're a fan of Jamba, then you'll likely be happy with the offerings at Blenders. For me, the point of a smoothie is for it to be made from whole ingredients and not a bunch of added juices or ice cream. I ordered a "creamy" for my daughter and I didn't know that "ice milk" is actually ice cream until I pickup my order and asked which one had protein, since it was not labeled. The staff there were very friendly and accomodating. They kindly made me a new smoothie without ice cream for my daughter. I hope the owner is paying attention to reviews because tonight we went in (as we usually do) but today was at 9:25 PM (they close at 10) and we had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.... if I ever see the same guy I will not be giving them my business. When we first came in my husband and I said hello which he completely ignored us and rolled his eyes... we disregarded that and ordered to which he kept asking is that all?.. making me seem like I was being an inconvenience to him. After we ordered we stepped outside to wait for our drinks and another 2 customers came in and he continued to roll his eyes and this time as he was making our drinks he runs his fingers thru his hair in annoyance that there were people coming in. At the end he throws the drinks on the counter and doesn't even call us. As we are leaving we say thank you and again he is rude and ignores us. It is not ok to feel like an inconvenience if I am a paying customer trying to give my business... this kid needs to learn customer service. Ahhhhh Blenders! A little taste of sunshine in an already sunny place. Drinks aren't cheap, but you could pretty much make a meal out of the 24oz because that's a lot of smoothie. Comes in sizes 12oz and 24oz, but it's more bang for your buck if you get the bigger size since it isn't much more. I'm sure that you could even save a little dough by splitting a 24oz in two cups, but I haven't tried it so don't blame me if this doesn't fly with them. Carrot (+ cinnamon) and Blue Apple are my two favorites. 50/50 and Strawberry Piña Colada are also tasty (sweeter than the first two). Honestly I haven't had a flavor here that I don't like, so you really can't go wrong. It tends to get some crowds, but they are always pretty quick at making the drinks. read more

However, I felt that I never gave other locations a chance and always wondered if there was something better/comparable out there. Recently, I have heard from other people that this Blenders place is even better than Jamba Juice and has since been on my bucket list to try. It's cute and has very nice outdoor seating They also now are carrying baked goods delivered by Santa Barbara baking company. Looks very good but I need to resist for now on my low carb diet. It can be a little overwhelming going the first time I personally recommend The Red Orange, It has a number of great bass items such as strawberries raspberries, orange juice, and yogurt. Blender's has been a local staple in our community since I was a kid. It's always been great to come here for a quick "meal replacement" type smoothie over the years - complete with supplements. As our public knowledge has grown about what is needed for a healthy alternative in a smoothie, the Blender's menu has reflected that. Their most recent updates to the menu show this with things like fresh kale and spinach, soy and dairy free alternatives such as almond milk and other great ingredients. It's great to see them keeping up with health news and trends. What is more disappointing and will keep me from coming back there until I see them make more serious changes is Blender's is still using plastic straws as well as plastic and styrofoam cups. It's actually really shocking to see this. Knowing that they are contributing so much plastic waste every single day in this way - since this IS the bulk of their waste. Even if you purchase a "reusable" Blender's cup - it is the same one they have been selling for years. I wonder, are they BPA free? Is this something that Blender's has even concerned themselves with as a community leader? Do they even care? The last time I went into a Blender's - the one in the 5-Points Shopping Center - I was genuinely surprised that there was absolutely no effort to go green on anything!! I, for one, cannot and will not in good conscience support even a local business that so blatantly disregards this issue and impresses upon me that it is not important to them. Please find a way, Blender's, of showing the community that you value not just our health but the health of our environment as well. read more

I come here in the afternoon often with the kids I babysit for to grab a quick, after school snack. Every time we try to bring our reusable mugs / cups but one way or another a staff member ends up overlooking the fact that we are trying to be sustainable, and pours our drinks in their one use cups complete with plastic lids and straws. It has happened to us at least 6 times and every time we get more and more disheartened as well as annoyed. You'd think it would be an easy thing to look at the print out receipt and see that it states to pour in reusable mugs? Seems like most of the workers there don't actually care and are willing to eat into the company's profits, as well as produce unnecessary waste just to get the job done quickly. The blending person labeled the drinks without me asking and was polite. All the smoothies were made quickly. We all enjoyed our smoothies and will be coming again next time we are in town. I was super excited to go to Blenders after not having it for a while because I LOVE their quality smoothies. However, this location has some rude staff who have no sense of customer service. They gave me my smoothie and the bottom of it was broken and was leaking all over me. I went back after I just walked out of the store to ask for a new cup and when I went back she just said oh, would you want a new cup? Then she handed me a new cup and just stared at me. She did not apologize or offer to pour it into the new cup herself. Then she asked if I needed napkins and I said yes because it spilled all over me. She then pointed at the napkins and said, they're right over there if need them. The girl and guy working on 8/12 for the closing shift need to learn manners and how to treat their customers appropriately UPDATED REVIEW: I just want to update my review saying that the manager was VERY polite and handled this situation professionally.
