As a Los Angeles born, I grew up with Blender's competitor, Jamba Juice. When I first tried Blenders, I was hooked. It's 10x better than Jamba! I got the Red Mango, and my family gotten Tropical Mango, and Tropical Guava. I tried them all and they are all delicious! I'm sure any and all of the Tropical flavors are great. Particularly, the Red Mango has strawberries and mango. But I tasted more of the Orange sherbet, with hints of strawberry and mango. Nevertheless, it's so good. The consistency is very creamy and cold at the same time. If I had to compare it to Jamba, Blenders smoothies are so smooth and perfect. At Jamba, my drinks are always Ice-y, sweet but always sour, while at Blenders it's purely great natural ingredients with yogurt and sherbet. The supplement you get with your smoothie is such a great concept. Getting more in the drink is something no one can resist. Plus every smoothie gets 1 for free so you can feel healthy while drinking the smoothie. Parking is plentiful since it in a large plaza. TL:DR Great smoothies. inexpensive for a smoothies place. When I'm not quite feeling breakfast or not too hungry, but still have the haunting reminder of my mom's voice telling me how it's the most important meal of the day; I turn to Blenders. Literally the best smoothie chain ever! I crave their tropical guava smoothies. I always try to come here at least twice whenever I am in town. The employees are friendly and helpful and the interior is cool. The only thing I would have them change is to have them use paper or plastic cups instead of styrofoam and to have some more food items. Right now, all they serve food wise is cookies and sweet breads. Overall though, Blenders is my favorite smoothie chain and you should definitely try it out when you are in town! Blenders is located off Calle Real in the out door shopping center not too far from Trader Joe's. There is plenty of parking in the lot shared by various other stores in the area. Store has the same layout as their other locations. There is very limited interior seating. Their menu is pretty simple and easy to follow. If you need any substitutions or have allergy restrictions the staff will be more than willing to make your order. Each drink order includes one supplement. They offer a good variety of supplements to choose from: Whey Protein, Chia Seeds, Bee Pollen, Antioxidant, Probiotic, Flax Seeds and other Vitamin mixes. If you bring in your own cup or purchase a Blender's cup then you'll receive 50 cents off your order. For drink orders you only have the option for 12 oz and 24 oz but if you would like an additional small cup to share they will do that upon request. Whenever here I always get the Tropical Kale: Pineapple Juice, Kale, Peaches, non-fat Frozen Yogurt, and Pineapple Sherbet. This drink has a very good refreshing taste which all the ingredients compliment each other well and nothing is over powering. I am not a fan of eating Kale but you wouldn't notice it in the drink other than the subtle taste and the drink's green color. The drink is blended very well and you wont be left with chunk of various ingredients at the bottom of the cup or clogging your straw. If you're in the area and looking for drinks or smoothies then come by give Blender's a try. Blender's is my favorite smoothie shop and definitely prefer them over other shops in the area. What's Up? I thought California was the progressive leader of all things healthy and cutting edge, and I especially thought Southern California was for smoothies. But then I come to this super popular place with the great name and I am baffled (?!?!?!). The smoothies are full of sugar & ice and served in big Styrofoam cups !. Not very environmental. Nothing is organic and it is a bit expensive too. But, really nice people work here and they did their best to help me create my own drink ( dates & banana with no ice). I was visiting Santa Barbara and of course you have to eat your way through the city. I came to this Blenders in Goleta on the way to the Butterfly Preserve just down the freeway. Jamba juice has nothing on Blenders! Environment - a very simple shop where there's only a counter when you walk in and then a bench or two to the right to sit down while you wait. It's very bright and inviting! Service - I swear, it seems like it only took about 30 seconds to make my drinks. The guys behind the counter are extremely talented and know exactly what to do with the smoothies. When my friend asked which two drinks they recommended they did not hesitate in answering, and they did it with a smile and laugh :) so cute. Drink - I opted for a creamier smoothie because that's just how I prefer it, but I don't think you can go wrong with any choice here. Tropical Mango - this was my drink and I absolutely loved it! I like the Mango-a-go-go drink the most at Jamba and this tasted just like it, only creamier and better! Acai Berry Power blend smoothie thing rocked my socks. I like the texture of the blended ice. It's not completely a smooth smoothie like Jamba Juice. It stays cooler for longer.
