So the first time I stopped in I ordered s small Sutter station smoothie. It was filling and had a nice taste. I also had the salmon wrap and fries. The wrap was good and so we're the fries. The meal was filling and I still had fries left over, the cost was $12.00. This is a small neighborhood spot and it's black owned. I give them a 3.5 for now until I try other things on the menu. I went there this morning because my coffee machine broke down. I just ordered coffee and 2 different types of tea. Usually I don't like coffee in this neighborhood, but this coffee was good; it's real blended coffee and not some "instant coffee". I also tasted the Jasmine tea, which I loveee! Wow the salmon burger is so delicious. Pascal the owner made 3 unique sauces and asked us to test which one was our favorite. Honestly they were all good. The unique flavors included a barbecue sauce, pineapple sauce and aioli. The burger was topped with fresh arugula greens, purple onions and a sweet tomato slice. On Saturday February 2nd, I decided to head to the gym & after a great workout session I figured let me try Blendzville. I was feeling a smoothie but then I saw a picture of a beautiful acai bowl. I immediately decided to et the Acai bowl. BIG MISTAKE. First it took 20 minutes!! 20 MiNUTES *Big Drako voice*. I should of known immediately however I was patient. Once it was done he put the bowl in a brown bag and of course I look in the brown bag just to make sure it was my order it was. However when I take it out the bag I was so disappointed this wasnt even an Acai bowl it was basically a smooth drink not even a smoothie. There were some banana slices & maybe two strawberry. It was very disappointing. Oh and the smell of bacon and meat in the site made it very hard for me to wait 20 minutes, but I wanted to support Black Business but now I know I wont be supporting this one. read more

I always enjoy coming to this place. It's definitely a great addition to the neighborhood, providing healthier food options. I've come here a few times before and the service never changes. I came by last week to grab a salmon burger and of course, it didn't disappoint. Everyone here is nice and accommodating, even the young lady who took my order. They make the food to order so you may have to wait for a bit but it's well worth it. The salmon burger was great, not dry. The sauce was a nice addition as well. I really wanted to love this place. I go out of my way to support black-owned businesses and being vegan, it's hard to find food in this area that is healthy. My first time visiting I got a smoothie and the owner Pascal along with a woman that works there had a great, brief conversation. Because the service and smoothie was so good I decided to call and order a veggie burger with fries a different day. The short bearded man took the order over the phone. He said it would only take 10/15 minutes. It took 30 minutes . When I got there he was having a conversation with a customer. When I mentioned that I was there for the order over the phone, he continued to talk to her until I told him that I was on my lunch break. When I got back to work, my burger was burned. 3rd visit: gave them 30 minutes to make my burger and it was ready in tht time (on this day the woman that was there on my first visit was there working the register. 4th visit today: I called 30 minutes before going. When I arrived the man said it wasn't ready and left. When he came back he repeats my order to me. When I tell him I'm paying card/Apple Pay he tells me the machine is down. Luckily I had cash. DID I MENTION IT TOOK AN HOUR SINCE I CALLED?!?? Anyway, I was so focused on getting out of there I didn't realize he overcharged me. (What was normally $10.89 for 1 order was $26 for 2 orders). Then I get back to work to burnt burgers and burnt fries. Also, I asked for extra sauce and somehow received less than I normally get (this is a part of my order that he repeated to me). Before leaving the same bearded man tells me that he didn't have everything and that's why he took so long. I'm going there after I get off of work to get the overcharged amount back, but I'm not going back after today. Clearly he lacks customer service because who talks to a potential customer that way. I really was excited to try this place as it's the only advertised health food restaurant in my neighborhood. I was extremely disappointed in my first and last visit. Overall I waited 40 minutes for 2 smoothies, a turkey burger w/ sweet potato fries and a salmon burger w/ sweet potato fries. When I came in and ordered I sat down. They asked me if I wanted to come back. I asked how long it was going to take, they said 10 minutes. I said ok I'll be back and they said ok come back in 15-20 minutes . I come back in 15-20 minutes and food still wasn't done. I waited an extra 20-25 minutes in store. No one seemed to know anything they were doing, like they were winging it. The owner apologized for the wait and thanked me for my patience by giving me $2 in cash cause he couldn't take the $2 off my meal....ok. I get home hungry and slightly annoyed and the smoothies were weird tasting. They tasted very frothy and not thick. Both burgers were completely flavorless and dried out. The bread was 2xs more than the meat and was also dry. The sweet potato fries were oily and stringy. These people can't get pocket change out of me. This place is nasty and slow. Finally a healthy option in Brownsville! It's a bit pricey but the food and drinks are good. My sister is a vegetarian so she ordered the vegan chicken wrap and it's still my favorite thing from here (I'm a full blown carnivore lol) The quinoa and kale salad is also really good especially if you prefer your salads "extra" and not plain. The beet juices are no joke. I hate beets but man, this is so good. The smoothies too!!! Some of the menu items I can do without (especially for the price) and lack flavor but for the most part, blendzville is a GO. The cooks also suggest really good options if u have trouble deciding what to get so no worries. read more

This place is way to expensive for this area! 5 dollars for a drink and then they tell you "would you like this or would you like that" without telling you that each new addition makes the drink come out to 10-15 dollars. I saw one person spend 21 dollars on two drinks that is crazy! On top of that I saw one of the people working there put some syrup into my smoothie and they are so stingy on the products. The owner is too personal and they whole feel is so weird. Make your own smoothies at home for these prices. Shit -- for 5 dollars I could get a pineapple and a coconut and honey and make my own pina colada rather then the chemical syrup filled stuff they serve here. I had a good laugh when the owner literally took people from outside begging them to buy the drinks. *EDIT!* So I have come to find out, the waffles cost 3 dollars and they add a dollar for cinnamon and that the red velvet pancakes aren`t even red velvet. Its food coloring. These people aren`t discrete when putting this stuff in. I see why they tell you to go sit down when they start making your stuff they don`t want you to watch them put food coloring in and call it a red velvet. I`ll be returning after gym to find out more about this place. I haven't tried the juices yet but I would hate to find out they are putting bottled juice in with the stuff they juice to be cheap. read more

3 strikes and you're out! I really tried to like Blendzville. Two times I banned this place and said I'd never go back. Still I returned because I love the fact that it's a black owned business and their food is actually good but this is NOT a health food store. The owner is merely capitalizing on the words "healthy" and "organic". They give you Heinz ketchup for your fries. Lol. That tells you everything about how healthy this place is. One time they gave me unripe avocado on my burger that was hard like stone. They never remember anything. Your order is ALWAYS wrong and you have to stand in there for a half hour while they correct an order you placed over the phone an hour before you arrived to pick it up. On another occasion I ordered a veggie burger which is advertised to come on a whole wheat bun but they gave me a WHITE effin bun. This is very deceiving. I was PISSED. I have been a vegan for 30 years and it's an insult to be given white flour to consume especially when you advertise otherwise. These people aren't about health food. Last week I called for the veggie burger and drove all the way from Manhattan. I was starving only to be presented with a veggie burger again on a white bun AGAIN. I'm officially done with Pretendzville. It's sad that all the real restaurants offering actual health food have shut down and have been replaced by these pseudo healthy restaurants run by people who clearly don't eat health food or understand the importance.
