Checked online and saw Rosalia's had offered (not sure if it was a limited promotion) a thanksgiving wrap for delivery. It was FANTASTIC and really hit the spot for what I needed. They have a nice variety of smoothies, cafe drinks and drinks on the go. Guayaki drinks are 4.49, kinda pricey but still fair given convenience since places like Target or Whole Foods aren't nearby. Rosalia's Cafe is in my neighborhood and I've passed it quite a few times, usually while going to get food from other places. I stopped in this past weekend and jumped right on the Thanksgiving Wrap that was calling my name from the chalkboard menu on the wall. I just had to have it. Roasted turkey with sausage stuffing and cranberry sauce in a wrap-sounds perfect, right? Well, here's the imperfection. There's no side sauce. A wrap of this delicious magnitude demands some sort of warm gravy or au jus type of sauce for drizzling or dipping. My coffee was a bit weak but I'm also a robust bean lover. The staff was nice enough. Rosalia's is spacious but still gives very homey vibes. I welcome its presence on the Nostrand Ave strip. Some gravy for my wrap would also be a welcome presence. read more

Rosalia's is a great option for a solid no frills type of restaurant to get a quick coffee, breakfast, or lunch. I opted for the breakfast place which had two gets, bacon, toast, and potatoes. Experience was not pleasant. How do you have a paying customer that can't use their laptop or the bathroom. I am paying for a service and candidly didn't even need their wifi as I had a hot spot. I was scrambling to find somewhere to work whilst I eat and seeing that it was a cafe and that's the typical standard for cafes I made my way to Rosalia's. However my experience was not good. On top of that debacle I asked for a refund for my already placed food. Let that sink in I had already PAID for my food before even asking for the wifi. When I was told rather curtly no I requested a refund. A big thing about business is having flexibility with your CUSTOMERS . I was told that I would get the said "refund" in a few days or the charge will drop after I cancelled my order. Yet I was still charged. Service was friendly up until I politely asked for the wifi as I had not seen their "sign of rules". That I have a problem with because that means your hospitality is conditional. What if a mother walked in and wanted to quote down her kids by using a iPad or laptop to watch tv or play a game just expect them to March over and scold you about the rules. Once again weird. Your a cafe not five star dining it's off putting that you don't offer paying customers flexibility. It's real weird. I have been once before and everything was pleasant but I won't tolerate shitty service when I ask a question that your staff I guess doesn't like. My advice here is don't bring a laptop and don't even bother to ask about it because they are rude and honestly just don't go. Will not be going back ever again. read more

Pros: -Quick service -Kind staff -Good prices (latte and sandwich cost the same as my latte from another establishment yesterday) -Lots of COVID precautions in place -The don't charge extra for different milk or for flavoring. Cons: -Looking at the Yelp Health score made me a bit nervous -Not a con but just a notice - the sandwich was just like a bodega egg and cheese (with a way fresher bun than my normal bodega) I'll definitely be going back and I'm interested in the lunch sandwiches that look delicious. Looking for a nice spot for coffee and breakfast in a new neighborhood for me- I found Rosalia's Cafe on Yelp- so I walked there to check it out. I walked in early- about 7:15 AM on a Sunday- and was warmly greeted by the 2 women behind the counter. I had just coffee to start- and their coffee is bold but not bitter- very full of taste. Great and I really needed it to wake up this day. I hung out in the nice window table watching the neighborhood wake up and enjoyed my coffee. They had a tv with NY Sports channel on so I caught up on the games from the day before. I came back an hour later when my wife got up and we had coffee and 2 bagels with cream cheese. Again the staff/ owners were courteous and attentive. We will definitely be back when I am in the neighborhood! read more

This place was recommended to me from the Brooklyn writers project. I have to admit this is a great space to write. It's Low key and right on Nostrand avenue not far at all from Atlantic avenue. All of the workers were great and friendly. The regulars that came in seemed to be chatty and overall easy to be around. The latte was good. I won't lie and say was exceptional but for the vibe plus the good food everything went well. This is a great place to work. With the beautiful spring weather that has recently blessed Brooklyn, I wanted to enjoy the sunshine. But I had work to do and knew I had to keep myself plugged into an outlet. And the story of how Rosalia's Cafe came to my rescue was born. It's a large cafe at the corner of Nostrand & Bergen with two walls of windows, drowning the seating area with all of the natural lighting that my body had been craving. I had never felt such happiness and peace the moment my bum sat down at a large empty communal table with my iced coffee and muffin. There are multiple outlets all along the wall behind the two communal tables. There are also smaller tables and counter spaces. Their coffee, pastry, and chicken wrap all hit home. Best Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich around. They crack real eggs, none of that pre-beaten-carton mix that everyone uses due to ease, and they fry the eggs perfectly. Not to mention it is real, bona-fide gridled bacon, none of that deep fried, dark, chewy as hell deli bacon that you find on deli sandwiches. Their iced coffee is quite good, and their baked goods are likewise delicious. I had a maple scone there that was the perfect mixture of crumbly but not dry. Man do not order lattes here. I wondered why they asked if I wanted cinnamon or sugar in it. No I don't want you to ruin it thanks. Got it and a bacon egg and cheese on a roll. Left. Block or two away took a sip. Lord they boiled it! This isn't some skunk hot coffee! You don't boil lattes! It's espresso and steamed milk. Neither should be boiling! Burnt tongue and part of mouth. Tossed latte. Then I realized with horror... they probably burnt the bacon on the sandwich too! People burn bacon and then wonder why they get cancer. As far as COVID Protocol they are doing everything right- hand sanitizer, mask, social distancing. The people were very friendly. My review is going to focus more on the food. The Caribbean smoothie was yummy- the price was responsible as well. The food, not so great. I ordered a Vegetable Omelette and it lacked any flavor, was very overcooked and simply wasn't appetizing to look at or consume. The omelette comes with potatoes and your choice of toast. The potato's were dry and while they looked flavorful - had no flavor at all. This is a nice little breakfast place. The food is reasonably priced and yummy. It's our regular go to breakfast place. At some points it can be very noisy but if you go at the right time it's a nice place to sit down as well. Workers pretend like their bathroom is "out of order" by putting sign up. I understand that during these uncertain Covid times you don't want paying customers to use your bathroom but if have tables all over your place you NEED to allow customers to use your bathroom especially paying customers!! If you don't want riff raff coming in, not buying anything, and using your bathroom that's fine. Don't make your paying customers suffer. Better yet, customers should take their business elsewhere if they are going to be discriminated against. We know your bathroom works otherwise where are the employees going to use the bathroom?? Some of my favorite spots to eat always happens on a whim. I was in the neighborhood looking at my Yelp's recommendations when this was one of the places to go. Read one of the comments that it had bearclaws and I? Wait, bearclaws? That's all I needed to see. Of course when I've arrived the cafe didn't have any, and my broken-hearted self didn't want to leave empty handed. Think I'll try the French Toast, bacon and eggs. No cap, as the youth in NYC would say, that was the best French Toast I've tried in years. Let me try one more dish before I give my rating.
