JMarie Skin Studio is located in Prospect, South end of Longmont. Very easy to find and lots of parking outside of location. When I arrived and walked in the door, the spa smelt amazing! They have essential oil candles burning and defusers running and it was so pleasant and welcoming! The lobby is very clean and organized. With COVID the staff collected my name, number and temperature and then had me fill out the once a year new client paperwork. It was about 5 electronic pages and completed quickly. My appointment started and Jessica was very informative about what I would be experiencing. I felt comfortable and heard. My lovely boyfriend arranged for me to have the Hydrofacial (medical facial) with dermaplaning, UV light treatment and an Immune Boost IV!!! This is the tip-top package of the facial experience. My man is a keeper, that's for sure! During the process Jessica took the time to explain what she would be doing next and each step was so satisfying! This amazing experience also included a hand paraffin wax treatment! All in all, I have made a follow-up appointment for an aromafacial and a FREE CONSULTATION with Charlotte about laser treatment that is highly recommended for my skin type. Thank you, Jessica! I have been a client at Rinnova Skin and Body Center for years for various services, but I will not…read morebe returning due to my experience with hormone replacement therapy under Dr. Rastegar. I went in for estradiol pellets to help relieve a few menopause symptoms. At a later visit, while describing new symptoms, Dr. Rastegar discovered and acknowledged she had forgotten to prescribe progesterone, which is a necessary part of this procedure. She inserted another estrogen pellet before addressing the issue, and added a prescription for progesterone. Once I started taking the progesterone, for the next few months I experienced heavy bleeding and painful cramping, ultimately requiring an ultrasound at my own expense that showed a thickened uterine lining, which is a documented result of receiving estradiol without progesterone. When I raised concerns about the prolonged bleeding, discomfort, and the initial oversight, the response was dismissive and framed as "just a risk of HRT". Dr. Rastegar held no accountability of her oversight, nor did she offer meaningful support. Hormone therapy requires careful management and follow-up. That standard was not met in my case, and I want other women to be fully informed before seeking similar treatment here.

However, this company has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I can't recommend them. A while back, I had tried to get appts for a treatment, but was forced to late cancel twice due to me contracting covid and then my elementary aged daughter contracting covid, once I had a cold sore and they asked me not to come in, and once because I am a displaced elementary teacher and was asked to teach last minute. As a displaced teacher, it is crucial to be available so they will call you again in the future. Rinnova charged me for these late cancellations, which was okay. I understood they were not able to fill that slot regardless of what had gone awry for me. It was a short string of bad luck when I've never had issues with coming to my appts there in the past. For my last appt, they told me it would be no problem to reschedule but that if I canceled one more time then they would not be able to book me in the future. I of course understood this to be the agreement and so I accepted the substitute teaching job for the day and rescheduled, and honored our agreement. Everything seemed fine. I just tried to schedule the same procedure a year later. I intentionally waited until summer so that any substitute teaching assignments would not conflict. After booking my appt, Rinnova called me to say I am not welcome at their business any longer, despite having come to the last appt. It is so disappointing to see a business not be understanding about two conflicts due to covid and the plight of a displaced educator. I honored our verbal agreement which they proposed, and they retracted it a year later; and over the phone, made me feel embarrassed and shamed for it.

To my knowledge there is at least one licensed esthetician and everyone who works there are all very skilled in massage as well because all of them are professional massage therapists. They are also very diligent in cleanliness and keeping things sanitary even before the COVID-19 pandemic. These are some of the reasons I trust the people who work here. When you walk in, the environment is very relaxing and smells like heaven. Most of all, they are very kind and generous people. They care about helping you out and making sure your needs are taken care of rather than nickel and diming you for what would be considered add on's at other spas. Their massages include essential oils, hot stones, and hot towels at no extra cost. They care very much that your needs are addressed and that you get the result that resolves it the best they can. They have gone the extra mile in giving me facials, dermaplaning, waxing, and massages. Right now, as of this review, they are selling skin care products during this pandemic. Dr. Stacey Pilkington is the best dermatologist I've ever had. I had a bunch of sebaceous glands…read moreand was breaking out on a regular basis. Dr. Pilkington helped me develop a comprehensive treatment plan to clear up my skin fast. Prior to meeting with her, I was on Proactiv; it took some convincing, but she eventually converted me to prescription products, which, much to my chagrin, worked much better. Then, I was switched from VitaClear (Proactiv's vitamin/mineral supplement) to Skin Accumax, another game changer. Next, I was subjected to cautery on my sebaceous glands, which was initially very painful on my skin (to me it felt like I was getting stung by wasps), but a magical buzz device made it relatively painless. Finally, I did microneedling with Tegan Ryan to attenuate my acne scars. Throughout this entire process, I e-mailed Dr. Pilkington several questions -- she always responded the very same day. Tegan Ryan is the only aesthetician I've ever had, but she is without question the best. Microneedling was a little scary to me at first (just the sound of it made me cringe). Tegan put me at ease with her calm demeanor as well as lovely conversation -- I didn't feel any pain whatsoever even though she made me look like she'd just beaten me in an MMA fight. After three sessions of microneedling, several scars have not only diminished but practically disappeared! Upon completing the above comprehensive skin treatment plan over the course of just a few months, my skin looks much more youthful, I dare say like Dr. Pilkington's and Tegan's. In any event, I'm in my mid-thirties and am now happily getting carded again on a regular basis. :) Dr. Pilkington, Tegan, and the entire team -- Nicole, Matt, Courtney, Lindsay, etc. -- are truly exceptional. They all go the extra mile; if they ever don't know something right away, they research the answer and give me a quick call back. After answering that question (with my concern about potential skin cancer) was I told that the doctors are not accepting new patients. I told the receptionist that it was strange to be asked what I'm interested in first, if the doctor is not accepting new patients. I asked if the answer would be different if I was interested in cosmetic services and she told me "yes". There would be a significant wait, but I could schedule for a cosmetic consult, and I could not have medical concerns addressed at such a visit. This told me everything I need to know about this practice. Skin cancer, which is potentially lethal, is not something they have time for - cosmetics pay much more.
