We walked in and explored the place. They sell out things besides chocolate including souvenirs, but they mostly sell chocolate. We all picked our faves and each took a small box to go. It was an incredibly hot day, so we also purchased some cokes to go. Service is quick, regardless of how many people may be in the shop. The chocolate was silky, and so delicious! So happy we stopped here!

On our second afternoon we went into Charlotte-Amalie to look around and do some shopping. The driver for Dohm's Water Taxi, who drove us from the St. Thomas Airport to our hotel pointed out the Belgian Chocolate Factory as we drove past, and recommended it. Being from St. Louis, with great chocolatiers like Bissinger's, Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate, and Bijoux Chocolates, we had to visit The Belgian Chocolate Factory, and we're glad we did. The staff is welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed several great flavors, in milk chocolate and dark chocolate: passion fruit, cherry, salted caramel & hazelnut; all made onsite. This is a small family business, we had a private tour of the cacao orchard (in Spanish) detailing the entire chocolate-making process, with hands on participation and delicious learning opportunities. They toasted some cacao nibs for us to samples, along with some of their chocolates and cacao marmalade (if we were flying home in a couple of days I would have stocked up on this!!). Then we relaxed in their cozy outdoor cafe as the sun dipped down behind the flamboyan trees, drinking milkshakes and eating Bon bons, swinging in the hammocks sprinkled around the cafe.
