Super cute ice cream shop with some very interesting and innovative flavors! I thought the prices were certainly fair for the quality and portion size given. We actually visited two nights in a row and the first night I went with the flight of 3. There was so much ice cream for $12. I didn't really care for the goat cheese and pistachio flavor and wished I had sampled it prior, but the hibiscus was delicious and a true stand out. The second night we visited, we were pretty full, but decided to split a scoop of the cookies and cream. It was full of oreo pieces and super creamy. We saw a woman with a huge cone of it and she said she loved it.

Such a perfect sweet treat on a hot day! I got birthday cake and my sister got red velvet both were the perfect amount of sweetness!

Our "fancy dinner night" for our honeymoon that absolutely did not disappoint. Fortunately for us,…read morewe got a great table in the grotto, and we were warmly welcomed individually by all of the staff. Service from top to bottom was outstanding. Attentive without being overbearing. And then there's the food and drink. First off, I love red wine and once upon a time amassed a pretty legit 800+ bottle collection. They had gems from my cellar on the list! On an island in the middle of the Caribbean! What?! I've not seen Turley on a wine list outside of the mainland in a decade, for example. And they had 4 different Turley options. Including one by the glass. Amazing. The food matched everything that preceded it; simply outstanding and captured a sublime balance of island and haute cuisine. The Lazy Lobster crawled mercilessly into our bellies, melded with plush mashed potatoes and perfectly al dente asparagus and a delicate sauce. The Lamb Shank masterpiece, served over gnocchi and the most wonderful au jus, melted over the palate, delivering a resounding umami "whoa" tingle. Both paired beautifully with our wine selections. Dessert was a rum strawberry masterpiece, complimented by one of the best espresso martinis we've ever had, and a generous pour of Angel's Envy bourbon. One of the best meals of our lives, anywhere, and we've been to some of the best restaurants on the planet. Maybe it was the sea breeze, maybe it was kismet, but regardless, we loved it start to finish and highly recommend Savant. We're no idiots!

Around the back of the restaurant is a covered outdoor courtyard with lush plants, a full bar, and lots of seating (extra points for the fans, the air circulation is phenomenal). Next the service. Impeccable. Every person that we encounter from the host, the bar tender and the waitress were so very friendly. I appreciated the recommendations that they had to offer on food and drinks (because everything looked so good). Some of the best service I've had on the island so far. Now finally, the FOOD!! You could tell it's was going to be good just from how the staff spoke about it. We had three appetizers (lobster egg rolls, ceviche, and calamari). Each were very unique and flavorful, great size for sharing, everything you hope for in good appetizers. For my entree I was torn between many different things, but with the help of staff I decided to go with the bacon wrapped double pork chop. And WOW I'm so happy I did. I always fear with pork chops of a dry, hard to chew meal but this was far from reality. The cut of meat was so juicy and easy to cut and chew. The flavor was fantastic. Cooked to perfection. For dessert I decided to go with a classic vanilla rum cake and it was perfect. I loved Savant, it was an experience from start to finish. 10000/10 recommend that you try this restaurant when on St. Croix!

Being at downtown Christiansted, its a little hard to find parking here. So better to come in…read moreearlier than your reservation to find a place to park. It took a while for the hostess to come over to attend our reservation and help us get seated. Its a large and lively space with inside, outside and courtyard seating. Once seated inside, the server too took a while to attend to us. We ordered Mussels for appetizer and it was absolutely great. The broth was tasty and the mussels were delicious. I had the love potion and it was a very delicious drink. My husband didnt enjoy his old fashioned as much and mentioned it didnt have the required sweetness. For dinner we ordered salmon that came with mashed potatoes, cheese burger and plate of ribs. My son thought the burger was one of his favorite gourmet burgers ever. The salmon was well cooked and had a good crust but could have had a little more flavor to it. Feedback on ribs was that it was just okay. We had to be somewhere for an appointment after the dinner and thought that 90 mins was enough to finish dinner but the service was going a bit slow...we ordered few desserts to carry out and they were out of an item, which meant the process took a bit. It seemed like the server was trying to keep up but it was very busy and the space being so large meant she had to go a longer distance, so I sympathize with the time taken, but made us anxious. They also seem to have one restroom for that giant space and that was causing a lot of people to just wait in the hallway for what seemed forever, to use the restroom. Overall food is good but pricey, service could be improved and another restroom should definitely be figured out.

Yet again, exceeds my expectations…read more I had coconut soup with extra spicy peppers, and short ribs with green curry (off menu, recommended by owner). Amazing! My friend had fried snapper with curry, loved it... good sized portions... had to take some home. Bartender was great, staff was friendly, owners are very knowledgeable about wine and curries! Customer service is top notch…read more SUMMARY: Food is excellent and on the spicy and hot side, food arrives slower than expected. The staff are amazing. Recommended to me the beef dish. I got zero spice and loved it. Was great. Table overall said spice scale was high. Some ordered 2 and struggled, another ordered 5 and wasn't phased. Not consistent, but when eating Tai food I er on the side of caution for me. Spring rolls were good, but again table thought sauce for it was too hot. The food consensus was that it was all delicious. My rice was cooked perfectly. Staff kept my sodas coming the whole time. This place is a little pricy, but to be expected when just off the boardwalk. This is a tourist area so in par for a nice sit down restaurant. Bathrooms were fancy with intricate doors. Plenty of atmosphere to enjoy. Great music at a suitable level for being able to enjoy conversations. You will have a great time here. Hope you get to experience it someday. Thanks!

TL; DR: We found…read morethat McDonalds was the only place you don't go broke in St. Croix getting food (including grocery stores). That's a plus for at least a quick snack if not a meal on the go. The only place to get ice cream in St. Croix for under $5 a scoop was, yes, McDonalds (Sunday $2.39, McFlurry $3.39 ish), and a comedic episode comes free with a Bimbo! The Rest Of The Story My girls were jonesing for ice cream and after buying the less than half gal (1.5quart) of breyers for $13 only to find it had melted and refrozen (nasty), we decided to go McFlurry. It was in the evening when we drove to McDonalds, looked at the ice cream menu, and the car erupted in laughter because we spotted the "Bimbo" McFlurry . So we ordered 5 "bimbos" along with 60 McNuggets ($10 for 20) and otherwise. Then the person at the other end of the ordering system (speaker-dude) told us that the ice cream machine did not work. My girls (2 daughters and wife) were very disappointed. We canceled the entire order and went on an ice cream shop hunt. As we were during the middle of the week and just after peak season (still 83 degrees at night), and on "island time" we found that the ice-cream shops had all closed early. "All" being like 3. SO we came back to McDonalds just to get some nuggets (the prior order planted the suggestion in everyone). To have a little fun, each person in the car (5) ordered something along with a Bimbo McFlurry. Each time the speaker-dude said "sorry, ice cream machine is not working". So we adjusted the order to order nuggets and an ice cream cone. Again the speaker-dude said the ice cream machine is not working. So we would change to nuggets and ice cream Sunday and again, speaker-dude said "not working". The car was rocking with laughter. When we finally just ordered just the nuggets, and we then pulled up to the delivery window. To speaker-dude's credit, he did *not* show a single sign of frustration. A different person (a really adorable young lady) handed us our 60 McNuggets with a "thank you". We then decided to extend the fun and asked where the Bimbo McFlurry's were that we ordered . The young lady got a shocked look on her face and said "oh my gosh, he did not charge you for those did he?!" We burst out laughing and said "no, he told us over and over again the machine was not working, we are just messing with you". She laughed and said "oh but it /is/ working"... and paused and smiled a devilish smile... then asked "how many do you want?" As near as we can figure, the person at the other end of the ordering system (speaker-dude) had cleaned the machine early so he could leave early, then lied to us about it not working. The young lady, immediately recognizing what was going on and thought she would have her own bit of fun ... and have him clean it again after giving us Bimbo McFlurrys. Everyone was laughing except the "speaker-dude" who had to adjust his "Island Time Zone" and clean it again we think. It was an interactive SNL comedy show with snacks, dessert and an awesome server. SO, I have to say St. Croix was hands down the best McD experience EVER. (It would have made a great reel) To cap it off, we decided to Venmo the window lady a hansom tip, we loved her!

You know if I am reviewing a fast food joint, that something happened. I try not to listen to other…read morereviews and make my own opinion. So, against multiple bad reviews, I ended up here. They have an abbreviated menu than the ones you may be used to in the States. They have a decent sized private parking lot and the drive thru windows seemed a bit higher that normal. They still worked though. They closed the dining room early, which I guess is a thing for them. So, i had to go through the drive through. The line was very slow. I waited over 30 minutes. In case you were wondering, I got a Big Mac Meal. They did not have any apple pies, or any straws. I also hear that being out of stuff is a thing for them too. My food was a typical Mickey Dees meal. But it was cold. The fries were very cold and it was not like I had a long ride to dig in. I had to go one block. Inside the store is relatively clean and they have hand sanitizer placed around the inside dining area. I know, its a McDonalds on an island, so I should cut them some slack. However, I hope this just gives you an idea as to what to expect if you go here and to reaffirm some of the other reviews.
