The selection was incredible, from fresh cheeses and cured meats to freshly made pasta and olive oils. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions, even for a first-time visitor trying to take it all in. It's really hard to leave the store empty-handed. My only question is: why do they close at 4:00 PM? I found myself wishing I had more time to browse, and it seems like many people who work traditional hours might miss out on visiting during the week. That said, the early closing time won't stop me from coming back. At the next visit, I will be sure to take pictures.

Given the quality of ingredients they carry and it's an Italian groceria, I expected a true chicken cutlet on the sandwich.

Our Strip District Food Tour had a stop at Reyna with some fresh salsa and tortilla chips... and I am absolutely hooked!!! We bought a Peach Bourbon Salsa and a Guava Jarritos! The salsa was so fresh and authentic that the flavor is far superior to any jarred variety. Sold in small plastic tubs, you might think to overlook them, but boy... that even speaks to how good they are. Walking around the shop, you can watch fresh tortillas made on a very authentic and manual process. You can also open the garbage cans of peppers in the back to see the "by pound" varieties of every spicy pepper in existence. The best part... if you linger long enough at a certain aisle or just can't figure out what to get - the employees are right there to help you out with any questions and suggestions on how to make your meal that much better!!

All of the tacos are on flavorful corn tortillas -- an authentic experience that's so appreciated! We've missed this kind of Mexican food after moving to Pittsburgh.
