We started with the trio dip appetizer, which ended up being the highlight of the meal. The chips were warm, fresh, and nicely seasoned. The queso had good flavor, but if it had been creamier and served hotter it would have easily been a 10/10. The menu concept was a bit confusing since it combines tacos and sushi, two very different styles, but I was open to it if the execution was strong. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Our table ordered the birria, mahi mahi, chicken shawarma, and carne asada tacos, and none of them landed. The rice was hard and cold, and after about an hour wait the food arrived cold overall and very underwhelming. I took one bite from two tacos and couldn't continue. Our server, Lilly, was the standout of the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and handled everything professionally. She shared that the manager would only allow 50% off the food, which felt disappointing considering how little was actually eaten. At roughly $50 per person, the experience didn't match the price point. Sadly, I won't be recommending this spot.

A fun sports bar in downtown Royal Oak, with more than the Stereotypical choices. They do have a curated cocktail list. I enjoyed both of the beverages I chose. I also really liked the Street taco options, with multiple choices available for vegetarians. Service was friendly and prompt. They were able to handle our group of Tene, that was split between two tables quite slowly. A good place to take a family or other large group.

it was warm and sunny fall day, which is the perfect time to hit the outdoor dining scene in Royal Oak. But we wanted to try something new...and Yelp led us here. This place looks like it hops on a weekend night, but we were there for lunch on a weekday afternoon so it was pretty chill. Our server was Jeremy and he was great - friendly, detailed oriented, knowledgeable and attentive - we couldn't ask for anything more. We split the flautas and the fajitas and both were very good. I'm not sure how they seasoned the shrimp for the fajitas, but it was very tasty, which is good, because the chicken was a little dry. Overall, a really positive experience. And I can't forget this: several reviews I read before our visit commented on how clean the bathrooms were. I don't usually cover stuff like that in my reviews but I had to check these out...and they definitely lived up to the hype!

Just came in for a drink and check out the place. Nice atmosphere, bar is nice and looks like they have space for live music also. Prices were reasonable, bartender was nice and attentive and food menu looked really nice. Nice selection of liquors and beer. Will for some come back again for some food.

The food was amazing! It was super fun to catch the World Cup game on the big screens! Such a great vibe! Thank you Lily for taking the time to chat with my daughter. I didn't feel rushed or neglected. It was the perfect balance! Thanks for everything! :)

If you're looking for a restaurant that has a wide variety of food options (quite literally nearly anything you can think of) this is the place to go! They have everything from tacos, pizza, french dips, monte cristos, sushi, burgers, shawarma, and more! No one will be disappointed! The many options made it a hard decision--I had originally planned to get sushi but it is only offered after 4 PM (same with the pizzas). However there were plenty of other choices available! I got the 3 taco plate, which comes with a side of rice and black beans. For my tacos I picked the lamb braisin' birria, roastin sweet pork, and the halloumi cheese and mango. They were all delicious--the halloumi cheese with mango one really stuck out to me! There is patio seating which is great for nice weather and there are multiple tables that can accommodate large parties of 8! I will have to come back about 100 more times to try the whole menu and I will!

Blind Owl has an extensive menu: sushi, tacos, burgers etc. I think that's pretty cool to have all of that on the menu. So this is a good spot if you're a Royal Oaker. The prices aren't stupid either. Dinner for two is around average and that's with a few apps, 6 tacos, and drinks. The server was super nice and the restaurant was open and clean... not a bad place to come eat if you're in the area.

Went here a few weeks ago. Ordered the Trio and pineapple salsa, Hawaiian pizza with chicken, Philly roll with added cream cheese and scallions and house salad. $76.75 They do charge 2.9% credit card fee on your bill. Hawaiian pizza is good. Chipotle salsa is good. The Philly roll is yummy. House salad is so-so.

I always go to the one in New Baltimore but was in Royal Oak on a Sunday early afternoon and seen they had a location here. I got what I always get for brunch the boom shakalaka burrito and it was fantastic here as well, actually bigger here! This location is much bigger and had plenty of space which was nice! My server was very good as well! Definitely recommend.

Good food with attached parking lot, bonus for Royal Oak. Portions always on the generous side.

As we followed our greeter to our table I kept screaming in my mind "no no no no no not that table no!" and she sat us at a table in full blasting sun. Nevermind the fact that there was a whole shaded section in the back part of the patio area. The rest of my group said it was fine and a beam of sun slowly bore a hole through my chest. Drink orders were up. I ordered a fabulous cross between a Moscow Mule and a Mojito. A+++ for the drinks. Mine was loaded with fresh mint from their garden. Same grade for our waitress who explained the drinks in detail and ended with "ugh- are you sure you want to sit at this table straight in the sun?" The other two said it was fine. I was ready to move, but was out voted. She continued to check in regularly and brought extra water. Most items on the menu were hot. I considered the fish, but we all landed on appetizers and we would just bounce from place to place for bites and drinks. We ordered the charcuterie board and the lavender lemon whip with bread and cucumbers for the 3 of us. The charcuterie board was the large version and had minimal offerings. It wasn't full and pretty. It was little piles of each thing on a board. This one definitely wasn't making it into Better Homes and Gardens magazine. There was a little pile of mixed nuts, a little pile of lose green grapes, a little pile of lose red grapes - not all grapes pristine or large and none were on the vine. There were 3 little piles of cubed cheese and 2 types of sliced sausage and sliced pepperoni. There were 8 crackers that were wheat thin size. This matters because we had some onion jam on the board and a nice serving of mustard. There really wasn't anything to put them on except for the 8 little crackers. That part was weird. These weren't elevated offerings. I could have picked up any of these at Walmart. They were not elevated quality either. We also got a lavender lemon infused whip which was their answer to tzatziki sauce. It was excellent but again, we were given so much of the sauce without a bunch to put it on. The cucumbers were sliced lengthways and there was a lovely bread that tasted like sourdough. There was 6 pieces of bread, and these were not particularly large pieces. A lot more would have been needed to use all of the sauce they gave. The proportions were off. All together the bill was over $100 for the 3 drinks and appetizers. If I ever did go back I won't order food based on what I experienced. There are too many other great options within walking distance.

We entered through the back entrance and were immediately greeted with a warm welcome. We quickly found a table for two, and our server was attentive from the start, bringing water right away, answering our questions, and walking us through the wine and beer selections. My wife ordered the Beet & Salmon Salad, while I chose the Crispy Chicken Club with white cheddar and house-smoked bacon. The sandwich was absolutely incredible--hands down the best crispy chicken club I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the combination of flavors was outstanding. I also stole a few bites of my wife's salad and was pleasantly surprised by the yellow beets. I'd only ever had red beets before, and both varieties were prepared beautifully. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the fresh ingredients. Between the excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service, this turned out to be one of the best impromptu dinner dates we've had in quite some time. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and are already looking forward to returning to explore more of the menu. Highly Recommend!
