I have called for repairs every 6 months. Cords are cheap and wear out easily. The repair will last about 4-5 months until it breaks again. The cellular shades in my kitchen no longer retract. These products are the absolute cheapest junk you can buy. It has been 3 years with these and almost none of them made it through a full year. I spent nearly $15K and will have to redo all of the rooms - except one. This is an unbelievable waste of time and money. Do not engage with this store. They never offered to replace my blinds. They keep sending out someone to redo the cords. I hate Shade Store.

The wrong parts were ordered and shipped, so when the installers arrived, they were unable to complete the job because the measurements were incorrect. It has now been three weeks, and we still don't know when our new shades will be shipped because we were told that they had to be "approved." We paid a significant amount of money for these products, and the lack of customer service and follow-up is simply unacceptable. On top of that, we have been trying to get our roman shade repaired -- which was installed only three years ago -- and that has become a separate, equally frustrating issue. Two technicians have now come out; the one who visited today didn't even know what he was supposed to be assessing. The customer service around this matter has also been very poor. I'm not confident that this will be resolved any time soon.

Firstly, DIY, really, but…read morefollow the following adjustments to the installation instructions: First, the bracket attachment screws are made for a square end screwdriver, which many DIY folks may not have, although Phillips #2 screwdriver will sort of suffice as long as not much pressure is needed to drive it in. Furthermore, if the bracket needs to be attached for inside mount, the back screw head is sufficiently fat or thick that it did not permit the back of the shade enough room to click up into place. We had to buy the same size Phillips flathead screws. Also, for drilling into wood, a 3/32 drill bit is recommended, but the hole is tiny and the screw needs much more torque to go in, and using a Phillips head screwdriver may chew up the screw head. We found a 7/64 drill bit to be much better. So, even though installation was a sad saga that should have been simpler--and perhaps the idea is to promote the use of one of the shop's handymen--following some of the above tips should allow you to DIY!

If you are in the market for blinds, I cannot recommend this company more highly! I tried to save money and used Next-Day Blinds a few years ago. The blinds did not last (neither did the company). The strings to raise and lower the blinds broke within a couple of years. I contacted Hyun and she gave me hundreds of options to cover our window. After narrowing down our design preferences, she came out and showed me samples. She was quickly responsive, helpful, friendly, and professional. We ordered our blinds and she kept me up-to-date throughout their production. Upon installation, we noticed two very small puncture marks on one of the blinds (hardly noticeable). Without even a word from me, Hyun placed an order for a replacement! I am so impressed with how thoroughly concerned Hyun is with our satisfaction. The blinds look fantastic! On top of that, they are very reasonably priced. I did splurge to get the remote-controlled blinds at the front of our house and this feature is so luxurious!
