Dear Itodo: I am writing to formally address the poor service I received at your Langhorne, PA location. As a customer and sales professional, I expect professionalism and accountability--neither of which I experienced. In July, I ordered shutters for my living room, only to discover gaps on both sides and rust forming on the frame after installation. I reported this immediately, and you the store manager, assured me the issue would be addressed. Despite this, I was repeatedly met with delays and a lack of communication. On August 4th, I placed another order for dining room shutters and scheduled the installer to fix the original problem on August 16th. I took a day off work for this, only to learn the day before that the installer was on his honeymoon--a detail that Itodo should have been aware of well in advance. To make matters worse, when I sought to cancel my second order due to this mismanagement, I was told it was non-refundable because it was a custom order--a policy that was never disclosed to me. Your offer of $150 in compensation is inadequate given the time, frustration, and lost wages I have endured. I am requesting a full refund for my order and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused. read more

I bought blinds a couple of years ago and was doing some cleaning and one of the little clips that holds the decorative molding on the front of the wooden blinds broke. When I stopped by the store to ask how I could get replacements, the staff quickly looked up my account, saw what I needed, and brought me a small bag wirh the price I needed, plus a few extra just in case. Spent thousands of dollars on blinds for my new house. They tried to install the wrong size blind on my kitchen door that we had already waited months to have hung. It was 4" too short, they installed it anyway, and said that they ordered a new one. Four months later, no one knows anything about the new blind, sales rep never reached out, installer never came back. The blinds aren't worth the money charged, poor customer service, terrible experience. Bottom line, go somewhere else! read more

Absolute bottom of the barrel company. I've been waiting since February for them to reorder and install a patio door blind. The original one was made to the wrong size. I was told by the installer that it was a manufacturing mistake. That he was going to reorder and he would be back. I have made numerous calls and always get the same response of them promising a supervisor will call me back. I've been told this at least a dozen times since February. I ordered $2,600 in various blinds for my new home. I still have many more windows to do. I will never recommend this company to anyone. I have made an appointment with Budget Blinds to finish the job. The customer service knows they aren't going to make good on their product. They're blowing me off hoping I'll get tired and go away. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! I had custom blinds made for my home last year and the valences are falling off by windows one by one. The first time it happened the store scheduled Charlie to fix it. These valences are supported by cheap velcro. When I called the store one associate said that there shouldn't have been velcro. They also lied and said they couldn't fix it, even though I 'm under warranty. I paid to have this installed and they were lousy with the communication and service when the cheap product started falling apart. What they needed to do is install brackets instead of cheap velcro. I am filing a complaint with BBB and suing the store. read more

I was pretty incredulous about going to BTG, but I couldn't be much happier about our experience. We were lucky enough to get Allison who was personable and very patient with us. She walked through a few options and gave us a quote on a corded an cordless set. We were there the last day of a sale, so we put down a deposit to secure the price. It kind of made me nervous to do it without having more time to think, but we ended up saving some cash for sure. The measuring process was a little nerve-wracking. They give you a clear guide how to do it, but if you get the measurements wrong it's on you so you want to get it right. When I called in and gave our measurements to another woman (not Allison) I expected her to go over it with us to make sure we were cool but she was a bit disengaged. This unnerved me a bit but ultimately it worked out fine so I'm not tripping on it. The blinds were ready super fast--three days! Doug is THE MAN. He installed the blinds super quickly and at a very very reasonable price. Overall I'm very happy with the experience. read more

Came in to order sheer vertical blinds for a sliding door and 1 blind for a small kitchen window. Gave me a quote to which I agreed to. Doug Lester came to my home and did 5 minutes of measurements on the 2 windows. My husband paid him $80 in cash ( I wasn't home). He did not offer a receipt. 3 days later Store told me that the price has risen by 20% due to an extra 2 inches in length for the blinds. I obviously canceled the order because I hate bait and switch tactics. Ordered items from American Blinds on line. Called Doug to do the install because I did already pay him $80 after all. Installation was quoted for $120 . Doug then told me that the price was only good if I bought the blinds from Blinds To Go, otherwise it's $150 ! LOL Bait and switch # 2..... OK Doug, Since I only need 1 window installed instead of the 2 you originally quoted me for ( installed kitchen window ourselves in 15 minutes). How about we stay with the $120 you originally quoted me and I pay you $40 since you already have $80 ? He said that I insult him and he declines to install my blinds. OK Doug no problem. I hope you use that $80 on doctor bills. People do yourselves a favor and dont give this place your business. Use American Blinds online. AMAZING PRICES and just get a handy man to install the blinds I promise it will be less expensive, faster and less headaches. read more

I'd like to respond to Nat G's review. This is Doug Lester, an independent contractor. The customer went into the store with ESTIMATED measurements. Upon hiring me to professionally measure, the price increased because the blinds were LARGER than the estimated size provided. The customer decided they would not purchase the blinds. That was in November of 2017. Payment for measuring is not returned as the service was provided ( I mention this because I believe it was an issue ) I do not honestly feel I charged them $80 dollars for a $40 service. I have a rate for blinds to go that I adhere to. Which brings us to the other point, products not from blinds to go bill out higher. When you contacted me in May of 2018, after buying blinds elsewhere, you wanted credit for $80 which would be $40 more than you'd be due ( remember I did measure for you? ) had I charged you incorrectly. I did in fact offer to discount a bit because the customer felt I charged them more ( again to be kind, I don't believe I did ) and because I could not find a receipt on my end. No bait and switch. I have the entire text transcript with your immediate anger and baseless insults if you'd like to see what you wrote and how I responded, offering to credit you $80 anyway. I have absolutely nothing to hide. Your comment about doctor visit?!? I sleep soundly and feel well because I do honest business. Ultimately I'm glad you got your blind up. This store/company is horrible. My husband and I went in to order blinds for our entire house. We had no idea where to start and neither did they. The young lady who helped us was very nice but didn't know what she was talking about. She told us we would get free measurements and installation because we would be spending over $1000.00. That same day we called the guy to come out and measure. He schedule to come to our home 5 days later. The same day he was scheduled to come out he called us and cancelled rescheduled for the next day, called the next day cancelled again and rescheduled for the following day. Finally he showed up measured all the windows, we had to pay him $40 that we would receive back after ordering the filters. He told us the store would have the measurement in 2 days. The store called us 3 days later on a Sunday afternoon to let us know the measurements were in. We told the young lady we would be in Monday to pick out and pay for the blinds. On Monday we spent 2 hours with the young lady picking out all the blinds and colors for our house. As I was about to pay for the order I made sure we were going to get the free install and our $40 back for the measuring fee. She responded ummmmm, hold on let me check. She walked to her manager for 30 seconds and came back and said THAT PROMOTION ENDED YESTERDAY. I was just about to spend $2400.00 on blinds and you tell me that promotion ended yesterday. The first day we walked into the store she never mentioned that it was a promotion that had an end date. I thought if you spend over 1000.00 install if free. Not to mention it was her guy that kept cancelling to come measure the windows, and when she called us the previous day she didn't say this is the last day for that promotion I told you about. My husband and I were furious we took our measurements and left the store with no order. The following day my husband called corporate, no one returned his call from corporate. We know they received the message because the manager from the store called us to let us know he would give us the free install after all. He was in the store the previous night, knew the situation and didn't do anything then. My husband let him know that we would not be purchasing from him unless the offered some other sort of compensation for wasting our time. We never heard back! We called BLINDS 4U and could not be more pleased. I can't say enough good things about this place. We called, within 2 days they came out to our house measured and had samples of all the blinds they sell. We were able to place the order the same day. They even provided temporary blinds while our blinds came in, TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Blinds came in about 2-1/2 weeks later. They installed them (FOR FREE) in 2 hours one night. Please do yourself a favor call BLINDS 4U. They are the best by far. They go above and beyond what they have to do. Here is the best part we paid less for the entire thing 1900.00 compared to what blind to go was trying to charge just for the windows. I am so happy blinds to go has horrible customer service. I have a feeling I would hate the way the blinds turned out if I went through with blinds to go. Call BLINDS 4U they will be there every step of the way.
