Yesterday I had somebody come from 3-Day Blinds to give me an estimate for shutters not only were they much more expensive, but the shutters probably would ready around Christmas, and they want all the money before they will even start making the shutters! I called a bunch of places to get new blinds and the wait times were crazy! Mike came out within a week and a half. Did a quick estimate, showed me the optional colors and textures. It took about 2.5 weeks for them to make them. Julio came yesterday and installed them. Got a great night sleep with no light coming into the room. A cop lives next door, and has two super bright lights blazing all night in his backyard that come on several times a night and woke me up. These new vinyl blinds let no light in which is what I wanted! Pricing was fair. Julio took the old ones down, and new ones up in 30 minutes. He was very friendly and professional. This place is the S---! I had been thinking about buying some blinds for over a year, as I have 18 foot ceilings, large south facing windows, and live in the Valley. To say my A/C bill in the summer can be insane, is an understatement. I literally heard about this company because they had a coupon in one of those Valupak coupon envelopes you get in the mail. In contrast to two other national companies, I did not have to wait over a month for an appointment. I believe I set my appointment for within a week, based on MY availability, not theirs. Mike Postik, the salesman, arrived on time. He had tons of samples for me to look at. He listened to my needs: (1) block sunlight to lower my A/C bill, (2) block glare on my TV, and (3) the blinds needed to have a remote, be electric AND solar powered because I was not going to climb on a ladder to replace batteries. He simply and clearly broke down the cost of each option, what benefits/disadvantages of each option was (ex. Option B is cheaper than Option A but won't be as thick and you'll have glare on your TV), and gave me an estimate on the spot. Payment was in two parts: 50% up front, 50% at installation. Here's what I adored: they told me delivery would take 5 weeks. Larger companies said it would be 8-12 weeks for delivery AND that would be AFTER waiting over a month for an appointment. When did my blinds arrive? Within 3 weeks, not 5, and they installed them a few days after they called me to set up a time CONVENIENT TO ME. On the day of the appointment, I had a one hour window for their arrival. At the beginning of this hour window, Julio called to apologize and state another appointment had run long. Could we please do the installation later in the day? At first, I thought, 'oh come on. How long can this take? Why are you late?' Well, when Julio arrived, I found out why it can take more than 10 minutes. If you are picky like me, you will have Julio going back and forth by a few inches to make everything PERFECT. And he did it - no issues! He respected my concerns, gave me valid reasons my requests could or could not be completed (ex. "If you move the solar panel farther to the left, it won't pick up enough sun to power your blinds."), and went on from there. I loved that he programmed my remote control for me so that I can have the blinds go up at once or each on their own. I literally have nothing left to do except use them as I want! For those who are worried about cleanliness, Julio kept a mask on the entire time, picked up every piece of shipping trash left over, and repeatedly washed his hands in my kitchen sink (after asking if that would be all right), so that my white blinds stayed clean. Blinds world installed 57 x 57 Wood Shutters for one window for $1025. A few months later the shutters cracked and the rep from blinds world said the cracks were due to moisture. I later realized there were bubbles on my wall. I would've expected the rep to tell me my wall was wet since he's in the business. It's really a 'we come to you' type of business as if you show up at their location they are not really set up for it. My blinds that need replacing are solid and the ones they offer seem to be more flimsy. I'm still considering on using them. They don't have remote control ones. read more

We had a consultation with Mike and ordered our blinds back in April. It's now late August and we just got the third iteration of a custom blind for a half moon-shaped window installed, and it still isn't right. We ordered blinds for about 20 windows (combo of cellular blinds and Venetian blinds), paid a 50% deposit, and received all but the half moon-shaped blind within about 4 weeks. When the half moon blind finally arrived (2 months later), the installer (Julio) let us know that it was damaged and they would have to order another one. Several weeks went by and I finally heard from Julio again that the new blind had arrived. I was not home at the time of install, but when I finally took a look at the blind, I noticed that it had creases all over it. It seemed very odd that Julio would not notice the damage. I texted/called him, but didn't receive an immediate response. At the same time, Blinds World went ahead and charged my credit card for the balance due without giving me any notification, providing an invoice, or confirming which card I actually wanted to use for payment. It's now been another couple of weeks and the third iteration of the half moon-shaped blind has been installed, but again, I arrived home to find it damaged. It's pretty frustrating that a company who touts the "best custom blind solutions" can't manage to get a custom blind right. And on top of that, doesn't notice when they continually install a subpar product and proceeds with charging a customer's credit card prior to finishing the job right! There are lots of competing companies in this space and I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

I was scheduled a couple of days after I called. 2) Mike Postik, the guy I was meeting with, called me a day before to remind me of our scheduled estimate meeting. Rafi, the estimator/salesman was precisely on time, very knowledgable, and most helpful. In spite of this transaction occurring over the Christmas holidays, the blinds were ready in very short order. The installer was, again, right on time, did his work in a most professional manner, and cleaned up carefully. I'm sorry that I've forgotten his name because he certainly deserves a pat on the back. It all started when my wife was complaining about the sun hitting her eye's in our master bed room. For her borthday i decided to get the house remodeled with some new shutters and blinds. March came by and we receivied a add from Blinds World. On my way to wrok i called them. A customer service rep picked up and introduced her self. She helped me with all my questions and went threw with me exactly what steps i neaded to take to make this happen. She schedualed me on a Monday morning around 11:00 so my wife wouldnt be home. ' Monday came by and a sales rep should up at 11:00 am Sharp. Vic was the most helpfull sales person we could have asked for. He walked us threw each room in our home and guided us to the products witch he felt would best fit my needs. In one hour we finished 5 bedrooms in my house and got a total of 17 windows measured and fully configured. On the spot Vic gave me a quote. He applied some special pricing for the promotion they were running that month. After looking at the prices and comparing with Home Depot and Sears. Blinds World Was more affordable, better product and a very highly trained staff. I went ahead and gave Vic a deposit to move foroword with the job. Saturday was the only day possible for instalation and Vic made it happen. The installers came into my home and finished up in 2:30 hours. All my windows were done perfect just the way we wanted them. I ordered 13 blinds from Blinds world. Mike the designer and salesman measured wrong. I let the installer put up black out blinds in our bedroom the light comes through on both sides of the 3 shades unacceptable. The shades on the double doors is defective the shade won't go all the way up. Unacceptable. I gave Mike $1,550.00 down payment. The whole price is $3,000.00. I refused to let them install the other blinds as Mike measured wrong. Now Mike screamed at me I ask him to stop screaming at me. He said I would have to pay more if they had to re-measure the windows again. He said he was the manager. His card says designer. He said he was going to send someone to measure, Then he changed his mind and he measured. I am waiting to have a manager call me. I called a main number and they said it was a call center.
