I didn't know you weren't suppose to look at dresses on racks because some aren't even available until fall . I tried to explain that we needed to get into at least the style she liked. We had to keep asking for the veil and the gloves. I have gone to so many bridal dress fitting and that one experience spoiled me forever Almost like the movie "pretty woman" when Julia Robert's try's to go buy a dress and she gets treated poorly until Richard gear goes with her.

When I met with the planners at the church, they shared with me the Wedding Policy which included some tips for brides on modesty. In it, there were three websites for examples of modest wedding gowns, which I found very helpful. One of the websites was for Moments Made. I was surprised to see how many of the dresses I loved on their website! However, I was bummed to see they were not local to Arizona. But fortunately for me, I travel to Salt Lake City often for work and already had a trip planned there. I was SO excited to book an evening appointment at Moments Made while I was there for work. I went in on a Tuesday evening and pretty much had the entire place to myself. My consultant, Amber, was SO helpful. She made me feel like a princess, ensured she had a grasp of what I was looking for. And luckily, I had already obsessed over the website enough where I had about 8 dresses picked out. We tried on many of them and (as I'm sure happens with most brides), the one I thought would be the top contender wasn't really jiving with me. Towards the end of my appt, I was torn between two dresses. Amber was patient with me and allowed me to try both on again and spend quite a bit of time in each. She even dressed me up with a veil, had me hold flowers, put on jewelry, etc. It really helped to be able to see the whole look come together. What I appreciate most is how thoughtful she was in helping me narrow it down. She could tell I was very torn and I didn't have any family or friends present with me to help make the decision. She asked me "What do you NOT like about each dress?" I told her for Dress #1, I didn't like that it was sparkly and it was a bit too heavy. For Dress #2, I told her that I didn't like that it was V-Neck (I wanted sweetheart) and I wanted it to have a tad fuller of a skirt for an A-line dress. Very quickly, she was able to show me that Dress #2 could be altered to make it sweetheart and also add layers underneath to make it a fuller skirt. On the contrary, it would be pretty impossible to remove the sparkles off of Dress #1. And just like that, I had my answer and was able to to say "yes" to the dress! Amber also helped me to try to find a local seamstress in Arizona (I ended up going with someone else, but still appreciated her going out of her way). She also picked out a veil and earrings for me that looked really nice. I figured "Oh well I'll buy them and probably end up getting something else later on." But sure enough, those were the earrings I ended up wearing on my wedding day! I also got a store credit for buying the dress and was able to buy some nice sweaters while I was in store as well. Surprisingly, as someone who is very fickle (especially with fashion), I am shocked to say that I purchased my dress in October, got married in June and NEVER once did I waver on purchasing this dress. It was so perfect for me and I got so many compliments on it. I look back at the pictures now and feel like it is a timeless, classic dress. I felt so beautiful in it and am very grateful to Amber for helping me narrow down the perfect dress for my big day!

I walked into the American Fork Allen's Tuxedo on a Saturday morning and the associate took one look at me and said they wouldn't have anything that would work for me. So I said nothing? Let's pretend I'm a kid going to prom. You don't work with short kids? They didn't have anything. I asked well what if I bought a tux and could have it altered? They don't do that, and even if they did it would be expensive. Well expense isn't really an issue here. I'm sorry sir. I wish I could help you but I can't. Folks, I was floored! I'm going to chalk it all up to this particular associate just having a bad day, because wow! I'm going to say if you are normal size you won't have a problem here. My situation is unique. But look, I'm certain they COULD have worked with me. They chose not to. Men's Wearhouse had no problems with me and everything went fine with them. Short yes. Unique situation yes. But this was just plain awful customer service. It wasn't handled well. So there it is. Take it as you will. Maybe you won't run into this associate. Maybe you will. We continue to shop and then they tell my mother in law that it was actually on hold for someone else and that they were coming to pick it up later. I speak to an employee telling her we will stick around to see if anyone picks it up and if not we will buy it and she was very insistent that this customer was "coming." My daughter waited near the front check-out desk to see if anyone came to pick up the bag the entire time and no one had come and then all of a sudden they said the customer had come, but my daughter never saw them take the bag out or sell it. It was apparent that the entire staff including assistant manager? knew about the situation and were all in on it. I'd really rather go to uptown murray or any other location now. I can't believe they would be this shiesty of human beings. I've recommended this location to my co-workers and friends which have shopped and sold their clothing items here, but I will definitely be notifying them of this situation and recommending they go elsewhere. She was a seriously amazing stylist. She was helpful, knowledgeable, intuitive, kind, sweet, and just simply on the ball. I was overwhelmed by the amount of dresses in the store and she took my words and made them come to life. I had always been worried shopping for a wedding dress would be impossible because I'm incredibly indecisive, but I left asking her "is it supposed to be this easy?" I HIGHLY recommend Q. If it was only for this experience alone, my review would have been 5 stars. I do think they need to make an effort to somehow make the appointments more private as it is SO cramped in there when there are multiple appointments, so maybe scheduling less appointments? But my experience with Q was 5 stars. The reason for my 3 star review is due to management. I went back to Q for an accessories appointment and we selected $800 in accessories, one of which being a belt. The belt that was pulled from the back after we did the appointment when they brought it to me wrapped up ended up being the wrong size. This is a simple mistake, it was the end of the day and I think the girl who grabbed it was new. I called the store and asked to please return the belt or exchange for the correct size, which they said it would take 5 months to come which was far past my wedding. At that point the only option was a return, as I did not like any of the other options. After many calls and after speaking to 2 different people, one of which who said I should receive a refund and apologized, then I get the manager who flat lied to me and told me that their system does not do returns (what point of sales system does not do returns?), that I must have known it was not the right size, and made me feel like it was my fault for a simple oversight that could have been fixed easily. I offered to bring the belt back which was still in perfect, sellable shape. I asked for the owner to call me to discuss the poor treatment of the manager - not a peep. I felt like the situation was handled so poorly. The manager said they had to contact their bridal point of sale system to figure out how to issue a return, which I truly don't buy. Number 1 - what business refuses returns that are their fault so often that they truly don't know how to do a refund and 2, why have one person tell me I should get a refund, then another be rude about it and insist it was my fault? It was such a simple solution and I made it so clear I was happy with my experience, that I have referred people to Fantasy, that I loved my dress, that I wanted to just make one small piece right. Nope. I ended up getting a refund. The owner never called me and they ended up issuing the return. Honestly, you can find all of the same accessories they sell online for 1/10 of the price. The same belt I paid $150 for I found a piece of beaded bridal trim 3 yards long for $12. I also spoke to an ex employee who no longer is there who said they are required to do tik Toks and other social media posts in the dresses as part of their contracts. Those comments on those videos can be nasty, and they make no effort to protect their staff. Making being visible on social media, even with social media harassment, is really strange to me. Offer a bonus or something to those who want to participate, don't make it required then not protect them. Long story short, going to Q is worth it. She will hear what you want and give it to you. But be sure that it IS what you want. The management was not kind and I simply don't trust them. Fantasy has one of the best selections in the valley with great prices. While their management needs SERIOUS work, their dresses and stylists are worth it. Had I not had to deal with the nasty manager, I would have given a perfect 5 star review.

Fantasy Bridal appears to have a vast selection of dresses, but there was only a very small section in the back of "Modest" dresses. We didn't realize how difficult it would be to find a dress with sleeves. If you are looking for a modest, classic, traditional wedding dress, this is not your place. If you are looking for something sexy, edgy, with color or iridescent, give this place a try. As we were leaving, we were told by staff that they had some other modest dresses on their website. Surprisingly, there were some pretty dresses online if you were patient enough to scroll and click through them all for the freak chance the one you like comes in your size--you could get lucky if you happen to wear an 8 or a 16, but maybe not.
