My best friend picked this bridal shop because she fell in love with a dress by designer Eva Lendel that she saw online. Eva Lendel dresses aren't carried in many stores and Alta Moda was the closest option to us in Las Vegas so we made a weekend trip out of it. From the moment we walked in, we were taken great care of. We were the only party in the shop for an appointment which was nice as it gave us a more intimate experience but overall it was an intimate space in general. Even though my friend already spoke to a coordinator beforehand about the dress she loved and wanted to purchase, the associate Beth that was assigned to help us still let us browse the store and pulled a bunch of alternate options for my friend as well. Overall, I believe she tried on at least 6 different dresses and of course she tried on the one that she fell in love with online as well. Beth was extremely sweet and always encouraging every time my friend came out of the dressing room in a new gown- she is the ULTIMATE hype woman. She genuinely seemed like she enjoyed her job and made the whole experience happy and positive for everyone. Beth listened to what my best friend liked and didn't like and pulled alternates even though again, she had one particular dress in mind. In the end, my friend chose the dress that she originally fell in love with online but we wouldn't have gotten there if it wasn't for Beth! To give the final look a finish she brought over a floral bouquet and veil and we all she'd a few tears. I had a really bad experience here and ended up with a super botched my dress after being pushed to make alterations and customizations they knew were out of the the designers wheelhouse and couldn't deliver on to get me to buy from them. The added fabric wasn't even the same color white and was super obvious in pictures and needed to be heavily edited. I paid for express shipping from the designer that was not delivered on the timeline they provided, nor was I updated about it being late, which put unnecessary stress on the wedding vendors I had hired. On top of everything, The attendant also made comments to me in the dressing room about my body that me feel really self conscious. Alta Moda Bridal was the one and only place I looked for a wedding gown. I went there on a girls trip just to have fun trying things on, and thought I didn't plan for it, I fell in love. The store is gorgeous and everyone was helpful and kind. I had three girlfriends with me and there was plenty of couch space and bubbles for them to chill and have a nice time. The decision-making was hard because each piece was so lovely. The woman who helped me listened intently to what I imagined, offered me all kind of interesting options that I may not have picked myself, and made sure I was clipped and snatched to perfection to really get a sense of what I liked. I attended a dress fitting with my friend who's getting married, and we were helped by Anastasia. My friend had a loose idea of what she was looking for - a simple, lace-y, more classic wedding dress. Anastasia found the most perfect dresses for her to try on based on her descriptions - we loved every single dress she tried on. She asked all the right questions, wasn't pushy at all, and helped my friend really figure out what types of dresses she was most drawn to and why. She asked the most helpful question too "Is it a beautiful dress, or is it something you want to actually get married in?" We looked at every dress through this lens and we were able to truly figure out what my friend wanted. Once we had narrowed it down to a handful of dresses, she picked the most beautiful veils out that matched each dress perfectly. Alta Moda is a large space and has a huge variety of dresses - classic, lace-y, modest, colorful - you name it they have it! There were so many styles here - more so than we saw at other places we went. This made it a lot of fun to try on different styles and really understand what my friend was looking for. There were a couple other groups that were trying on dresses at the same time, and even though the space was an open concept, we never felt like we were intruding on someone else's appointment and vice versa. Nice sales associates but very pushy there were 3 brides that said yes to the dress in the 45 mins I was there. The entire time you're there you try on dresses in front of 5-6 other brides and their groups. It didn't feel very personal or exciting. They also kept putting me in dresses that "I might not think I'll like till I try it on" even though this was my 4 bridal shop and I knew what I wanted. While Walking up the stairs, trying not to trip as I look at the beautiful dresses displayed in the front of the store, I'm greeted by this bubbly, lovely woman name Kori. She was waiting for me and knew exactly who I was as soon as I reached the top. She sat with me while we went over my vision of my wedding dress and looked at my Pinterest board. I can't tell you how amazing this woman was. I wanted to get her number and be friends with her forever. I told her my budget and she pulled the most amazing dresses while staying in my budget. I had an amazing experience with this boutique. Which is crazy because I never actually visited! They have a super convenient option to FaceTime a consultant to get the exact dress you have in mind. I was in love with Limor Rosen gowns, but wanted long sleeves and a higher waistline. I FaceTimed my consultants (Ashley and Lenni!) and they walked me through plenty of options to get to the exact look/ design I wanted. They showed me the fabric, which I felt was too see-through, so we ended up adding extra lining. I was so glad they could fully customize my dress to be exactly what I wanted. I was happy AND comfortable on my wedding day. I would recommend this shop to anyone. It was simple, they listened to everything I wanted and also provided suggestions, gave me an accurate timeline and were extremely friendly and made me feel completely comfortable when finding what dress was best for my body type. I came here to help my cousin try on wedding dresses. My cousin was so excited to come here because she has been following their instagram account and this shop has a lot of hype on social media. The store itself is very cute, but they have the worst customer service! I walked in after my cousin was already there, and when I walked in, the lady at the front desk, (dark, curly hair, with a permanent frown on her face) which I later found out was the manger or owner of some sort, gave me a really weird look. I told her I was "with her" pointing at my cousin, and she said "ummm, okay" in a very rude and demeaning voice. A few minutes later, 2 more people from our party showed up to help my cousin try on dresses. We exchanged pleasantries and were saying hello to each other, when the rude lady that was at the front desk came over and said "okay, so let's try on the next dress" in a super rude tone. Then she says "gotta keep you on schedule!" to the sales lady helping us. My cousin ended up finding a dress she liked, and they didn't let her spend more than 5 minutes in the dress that she was about to spend $3K on! The brides mom couldn't make it, so we were facetiming her, and the same rude lady comes and tells us we need to hurry up? Then the sales lady comes back with all the paperwork drawn up and tells my cousin that if she doesn't order the dress today, right now, then if won't be here in time for her wedding (which is 4 months away) and she will have to push back the date of her wedding. This whole experience left a really bad taste in our mouth! My cousin loved the dress, but felt very disrespected in the way we were treated by the manager(?) (lady with black curly hair), and was so uncomfortable about how they were trying to make her make a snap decision in less than 5 minutes, that she decided to not purchase a dress from them. If only they were nicer and weren't so pushy, she would have bought that dress from them! I do not recommend coming here to look at wedding dresses. They are very rude, and don't give you any time to spend in the dress that you might spend a lot of money on, for the biggest day of your life! This is THE PLACE to get a wedding dress. Hands down, no questions asked. Before we even arrived at the store, I was in communication with my stylist, sending her pictures of what I was interested in as well as her getting me excited for the actual appointment. When did arrive, we were greeted warmly and I immediately felt special. I was taken to my own fitting area with comfortable chairs for my guests, good lighting, and a great mirror. The staff was extraordinary (specifically Elizabeth and Jax). They listened to what style I was looking for and really helped me hone in on what I liked and disliked. This helped immensely as they patiently listened to my opinion throughout the process. They were sincere, authentic, and funny. Never did we feel rushed to make a decision at all and they never lost their focus on us. They are personally familiar with their designers which helped as we created my dream dress. This is supposed to be a lovely experience and I feel the consultant helping my daughter was very friendly, happy and helpful(Elisabeth) but as for the rest of the employees.... rude comments, dirty looks, and very disrespectful. I tried very hard to not just get up and walkout. When looking for the perfect dress I would have spent any amount of money for my daughter! It has been a true journey for her to even get to this point. So when I buy her dress I want the experience to be one to be cherished and I truly believe customer service is always the first and foremost responsibility for the whole experience from beginning to end. I have hesitated to write this review while waiting to see what would happen with alterations. I think the dress I chose is gorgeous and the people who helped me initially were so sweet and kind. I had a really great day when I found the dress, but because I wanted to try on one more at a different store I came back another day to actually buy the dress. On the day I came back a different person helped me and I didn't really connect with her. She seemed really busy and disconnected, but I did have an appointment! She took my measurements and I suggested we do the top without a bra but I perceived that she kind of waved off that suggestion. When I finally got the dress it was way too small in the top--- horrifyingly small actually. I felt quite trapped and panicked because they require you to acknowledge that it's your responsibility to ensure measurements are correct. Objectively, this is a really tough position for a bride to be in-- the salon consultants are the professionals, so I really trusted that they were accurate and correct in their measurements. Also, think about it - you're standing in a room partly naked with a stranger and you can't actually see the measuring tape. It's an awkward but obviously necessary situation. If the dress doesn't fit when it comes in though, there really isn't time to order another one! Honestly, It was a really unhappy day for me when I picked up the dress-- not what I envisioned when looking at their Instagram of happy brides carrying their gowns out of the salon. I held back tears worrying that this was beyond fixing. I didn't make a stink, I tried to stay composed and polite, but I did ask a few questions and I inquired if they actually thought this could be fixed. They told me that there would be a seam allowance (the seamstress later told me there definitely wasn't enough seam allowance). The salon assured me it was an easy fix ( it wasn't). I will note that I used a seamstress they recommend who is incredible. I also didn't have my family with me to advocate for me due to Covid and they live in another state. After this experience I really recommend every bride have someone that can double check their measurements and advocate for them. Now I am paying a lot for alterations (which are 100% worth it of course) to rebuild part of the dress to fit. I know all dresses require alterations and I planned and expected this, but honestly it shouldn't require this much altering. I actually bought an additional sample gown from another salon as a backup In case this dress just didn't work. The happy part is that despite all this, the dress was able to be rebuilt and it's beautiful! However, knowing what I know now I might choose a different salon or at the very least have a family member come with me to double check measurements. I felt like when I picked up the dress they just wanted me to leave with the dress and that they would tell me whatever i needed to hear-- and you're kind of out of luck because you sign a paper basically saying its you (the brides) problem now--- just left a bad taste for me. read more

Emily did a fantastic job of understanding exactly what I was looking for, asked me about the price range they should be respectful of (and let me know if a dress I was eyeing was higher than my budget), and was super creative with the accessories she brought out to compliment the dresses. She also let me know about all of the alterations they could do to dresses as we went so I could visualize it in different styles. Unlike most bridal shops in Utah, the dresses are made to order! You don't have to worry about significant alterations because your exact measurements are sent to the designer. I had a wonderful experience at Alta Moda Bridal. I am originally from California and wanted a modest bridal gown for my summer wedding. I was really worried I wouldn't be able to find a dress that was modest and still very fashionable because there are not many bridal shops with this specialty in California. Also my time line was a littler concerning. Enter the beautiful ladies at Alta Moda. I was so happy and relieved to see what an amazing collection they have. I was happy to hear that they work closely with designers and seamstresses to ensure that the gown meets the bride's specifications. My appointment with Sierra was awesome. She understood the vibe I was looking for right from the beginning. She had some great questions or pieces of information that really helped me decide on a dress. There are so many great options there, making a decision was tough. She was very knowledgable and made sure to keep my options within my budget. The Alta Moda team also works well together which helps with bride's experiences. Other staff helped Sierra with grabbing dresses, getting advice or sharing some expertise. Alta Moda Bridal really made me feel like family. I am an out of state bride and they worked with my schedule to get me in on a Saturday. The boutique was beautiful and from the moment we walked in they made my mom, dad, and I all feel very welcomed. My price range was on the low end for the boutique but they were really accommodating and assured me we would be able to find something I loved while staying in my budget. The girls were amazing and really detailed oriented. I received friendly texts messages from a personal consultant throughout the entire process from setting up an appointment till the day my dress was delivered. With such an important event it's really amazing to feel like you are getting personalized care. It's never easy changing in front of a stranger but they were all very professional and each time I tried on a dress we ended up laughing like old friends. They went above and beyond to add accessories and mockup alterations so I could really get the feel for the dresses. It's true they don't allow photos of dresses but they were really great about allowing me to facetime my brides maids to get their opinions. I ran into a huge issue when I got home and tried to have my dress altered. The seamstress said there was no way she could make changes to the dress. Of course you can imagine that this is never something you want to hear when you are only a little over a month out from your big day. I contacted Alta Moda expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised with a quick response ( I think it might have even been a Sunday!) saying not to worry that they would help me figure out the issue. (Just to be clear, there was nothing wrong with the dress, I just ended up with a very lazy seamstress who was overbooked) They ended up scheduling an alteration appointment with the designer of the dress and a bridal consultant on a weekend since I was out of town. The designer was a dream to work with and we had a perfect gown by the end of the weekend. Alta Modas staff was helpful the day we shopped for a wedding dress. They had lots of ideas and helped my daughter come up with her dream dress. (The dress was made To order so she chose neckline, sleeves etc) The problems came in attempting to deliver on the promises. When my Daughter went to pick up the dress, the neck had been cut wrong so it gaped horribly. Also, the sleeves were missing lace in areas discussed and drawn when we ordered. It took a bit of working with them, but they finally admitted they had made a mistake and their quality control had missed it ...but they weren't going to fix it. Their answer was to have us get it fixed and they would cover the repairs plus $100 for our inconvenience. I was shocked that they were putting the onus on us to fix their mistake, and concerned if they really would cover the cost of the repairs. As anticipated, they only paid the seamstress half of her bill and we never saw the promised $100. They have nice dresses, but I wouldn't buy anything there that you can't just purchase off the rack. Too much of a headache when there's already a lot going on. the good news...our seamstress was amazing and was able to fix the problems and give my daughter her dream dress. read more

They really went above and beyond the make sure I picked the perfect gown for me and to made me feel so special. My consultant was amazing and sat down with my mom and I before we started trying on dresses. She addressed my personal style, budget, what I did/did not want, vision of my wedding and let me know how the process was going to work. Based on our consultation my consultant helped select 9-10 dresses for me and had me really feel and move in each one and then had me narrow it down and re-try my favorites. I was so surprised and excited by my selection, since it was one I wasn't all that thrilled to try on when I saw it, but when it was on, it was perfect. I'm so happy I was given the opportunity to try on all styles and fits to make sure I felt 100% secure in my decision. I wasn't going to write a review, but I recently heard about another bride with the same problem as me and I feel that people should be aware before spending thousands here. When I went in they pressured me heavily to purchase a dress that day. I did find something I really liked but I felt an immense pressure to purchase then and there. My consultant was very rude to my mom- who was paying for the dress. Even when we went into the dressing room she made it clear to me that she didn't like my mom's taste. I thought that was unprofessional. I was willing to overlook the bad customer service because I loved the Dress and was promised a custom gown that would fit me perfectly, we changed the fabric and some of how the top was built. When I arrived to try it on my Mom and soon to be MIL were late and I decided to slip into it by myself. They brought in like 4 employees to try to zip the thing up... I am a size 0 and they took all of my measurements and my $8000 "custom dress" didn't zip! That wasn't really the issue though... I understand that these things happen... It was just that they threw me out with no help and absolutely no apology or accountability for the size error. They sent me to a seamstress to fix it. She ended up moving HEAVEN AND EARTH to get my dress ready TWO DAYS before my wedding. Honestly she was the hero- but she had to contact the designer directly to get more fabric and they didn't have the correct dye lot. Anyways... it was a disaster. It was also quite expensive to fix my dress, none of which Alta Moda agreed to help pay or apologize. If they had just been more kind and gracious I wouldn't have such a bad taste in my mouth from this experience. This last week I heard that the same thing happened to someone else that went there... dress was too small and the staff wasn't very kind about it. Although I live in Washington D.C., I made the decision early on to purchase my dress and have the dress fittings in UT, where I am originally from and where the ceremony was taking place. Because of this, it was very important to find a dress shop that would be flexible enough to work with my crazy schedule. Alta Moda was the last dress shop I visited in my search for the gown, but I wish I had gone there first. After trying on dozens of dresses, I found my dress here! It was one of the first gowns I tried on, and I knew right away that it was the one. Having said that, they happily allowed me to try on others just to make sure that I had selected the right dress. In addition to housing my perfect dress, I also found my veil and accessories here, making it a one stop shop. It can't get anymore convenient than that. When it came time for fittings, Alta Moda was so great to work around my schedule and squeeze me in when I could only fly in for a day or two at a time. They also connected me with the most amazing seamstress, Pamela, who worked wonders for the few alterations I needed. The fit of my dress was absolute perfection, and I could not have loved it more. The staff there was always pleasant and often called me to check in to see if there was anything at all they could do to make things easier. I'm so glad I purchased my dress from Alta Moda. They made what could have been a stressful nightmare, an easy, breezy, stress free process, in spite of the distance. My experience here was super strange. I came in one time before and my consultant was really cool and helpful. However we pushed my wedding back so long story short I was in again 6 months later. This time some rude chick "helped" me. She must have been on her period or had a stick up her butt cause she was the most unchill woman I've ever met. Didn't bother to ask for budget, and thought it was jut normal to stick me in $8000 dresses. Every time I tried chatting with her or asking her opinion she was either non responsive or acted like I was annoying the shit out of her. Alta Moda was a very helpful in making my Wedding Dress dreams come true. On my first consultation Megan was very helpful and pulled some gorgeous gowns for me to try on and talking about options for the dress that I wanted, the only unfortunate part was having to visualize what the dress would look like but that is the case with any dress trying to make it modest. After my first appointment and at the subsequent appointments I worked with the store manager Lenni and she was just amazing. She always was so helpful and was able to let me bring a bridesmaid in to see my dress when I didn't have an appointment. When the dress came it fit like a glove and only needed minor alterations and it came a month early! I went to a few dress companies prior to Alta Moda made me feel large and were just plain rude about helping me find something I loved. Yes the price was higher than many stores in SLC but to find the dress that made me feel like a princess was amazing! At my wedding everyone could not stop gushing about how gorgeous my dress was! Alta Moda referred me to a lady to alter my dress and it was a disaster that ended semi ok. They sent her way too many brides, my dress was a mess a month before my wedding when it was supposed to be finished, so I picked it up a week before my wedding there were still threads hanging off and the sleeves were uneven, but CANT POSTPONE MY WEDDING SO YOLO. I expected her to be awesome since Alta Moda prides itself on being able to take any dress and seamlessly make it modest. NOT. I also wanted to keep my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE part if the dress, every time I would consult with her she'd say "Alta Moda wouldn't like that so probably not" OK?!??!! I JUST SPENT SO MUCH MONEY ON THIS DRESS BUT WHATEVS. anyways. That's the negative part. I give them two stars since they offered my party water when I went and gave me a scarf. read more

Had a great time at Alta Moda Bridal. Almost considered cancelling my appointment after reading the reviews and am happy I did not. The associate and owner were great and super helpful! They had a variety of dresses to choose from and gave me plenty of time to look around on my own and pull things I though would work. I had a budget of $4k and was able to try on numerous dresses and ended up find a few I really liked for around $2k which was great. I did not feel rushed and we were allowed to take photos of the dresses I was trying on. Shope is cute and lots of room to walk around. read more

Alta Moda has beautiful dresses, but their odd policies make it difficult to give the more than 3 stars or buy a dress from them. The most difficult policy to deal with is that they don't allow photos, which is something I've not encountered at any other bridal shop (including other very nice ones). Not being allowed to take photos meant I couldn't get the input of my friends and family (which is hard because I'm not originally from Salt Lake so I couldn't have them there with me). It also means that now that I've tried on dresses I like from several shops, I can't go back and look at the one I ended up really liking from Alta Moda. How am I supposed to buy a dress that I've never seen a photo of me in? My wedding is going to be the most photographed day of my life, and they want me to drop 4k before ever seeing myself in a photo wearing it. It's a deal breaker and I hope that they find the sense to change the policy. In general this place is stuffy, up tight and borderline rude! read more

I had an unforgettable shopping experience here just about a week ago that took all the stress out of shopping for my perfect dress! From the first phone call all of the staff was professional and asked all the important questions to make my appointment run flawlessly! They asked me what my budget was before I even stepped foot in the store and was very respectful of what I was willing to spend. As soon as I got there Blair greeted me and had a brief consultation with me and was very genuine and made me very comfortable with myself and the environment so we were able to be as productive as possible! They think of all the small details that make it worth splurging on one of their beautiful dresses! Blair hand picked a variety of silhouettes and styles for me to try and after our 2 hour session I shopped around the store to see if there was anything she had not pulled me that I would be interested in trying on and I found she knew exactly what I show me and was able to find me exactly what I was looking for! I work in retail and have never been so impressed with a business's customer service! I will highly recommend this experience and Blair to anyone asking! read more
