I had rented a wedding dress from this shop back when they were still offering rentals. During my first visit, I found a dress I really liked. I loved it even more after they showed me how it would look with added sleeves -- I was told they could be sewn on, which sounded perfect. However, when I came in for alterations and explained exactly how I wanted the sleeves attached, I was disappointed to find that they were still clipped on in the front. Only the back was sewn, and the front clips came off almost immediately -- just like they did in the beginning. Sadly, one sleeve actually popped off while I was walking down the aisle, which really impacted our ceremony and made me feel uncomfortable on such an important day. I also had a very poor experience with the front desk staff. The woman I interacted with was unfriendly and didn't seem suited for a customer-facing role. She didn't know the prices for the veil and accessories, and I was ultimately overcharged. When I mentioned the price was different than what I'd been told, she simply said, "Well, that's what you have to pay," which was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place -- especially now that they only sell dresses. With my experience, it just wasn't worth the money or the stress. read more

I went to a long awaited wedding for a friend who rented the dress from this company. The venue was held about 3 hours from Salt Lake City and the dress was picked up the day before. Upon opening the garment bag the dress was completely stained with make up and some type of liquid down the front. At first the owners/representatives were open in trying to help resolve the problems but then shortly afterwards took no responsibility in fixing the issues. In other words, let's not make sure the dress is pristine for the next customer, hopefully no one will notice the condition of the dress. The bride's mother took the time, out of an already hectic day, to clean what she could. It really put a lot of pressure on the day. Horrible business practice not to professionally dry clean rental clothes. Gross. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR DRESS After consigning my dress for 3 years I came to pick it up and found that nearly ALL of the beads (front and back) had severe sun damage and were beyond repair. I wish I could attach an image to show you just how horrible the damage is. I brought it back in immediately, and they admitted that it was IRREPARABLE sun damage on their account. They just said sorry and offered to Venmo me the amount agreed upon in the contract (25% of the dress's value). I reached out to several seamstresses, and the designer of the dress, and every person has said that nothing can be done. Even if by some miracle I were able to get the same beads (the designer will not sell me the beads, I asked), it would take HUNDREDS of hours to replace the beading. I signed my dress up for consignment with the knowledge that rips, tears, stains, and maybe even some bead loss would be possible and to be expected, so I originally thought what was agreed upon in the contract would be more than enough to cover any potential damage. I would never dream that a company that handles wedding dresses daily would damage my dress beyond repair because of improper storage and gross negligence. I'm sure you can understand the added frustration that no one contacted me about the damage whatsoever for over a YEAR. I had absolutely no idea that my dress was ruined until I picked it up and drove 45 minutes home to unzip the bag and find a yellow dress instead of a white dress. The reason I picked up the dress in the first place was because it had been over a year since the last rent, which means that it was probably sun-damaged and yellowed a long time ago. No wonder no bride has wanted to rent it since. No amount of money will be able to replace the sentiment of this priceless object that I entrusted to this company. I understand that they had no legal obligation to do anything more than what was stated in the contract, but wouldn't it have been an act of good faith to take accountability for the (hopefully unusual) circumstance and replace the dress? What about moral obligations? Covering the cost to replace my dress is the least they could have done after 3 years of profiting from it and then utterly destroying it. There clearly needs to be some serious adjustments made to the way they handle and store dresses. I requested that they please inform me of whatever precautions they were taking to ensure that this would never happen to another bride's property again, and they disregarded my concerns. So now here I am, trying to warn others. They clearly don't care if it happens to my dress, so why would they care if it happens to yours? I always dreamed that I could pass my wedding dress on to my sisters and/or children. I thought that renting my dress out for a few years would be a great way to mitigate the overall cost and have less of an environmental impact. After a few years, I thought I would get it back so it could be preserved as a memento. How sorely mistaken I was. read more

They make sure you feel comfortable in every aspect before finding the perfect dress. In my opinion, I feel that renting wedding dresses is a much better option than buying one. These ladies made my wedding dress dreams come true ! The try on season was private and intimate. Having many of their dresses on their website allowed me pin point what I wanted before I walked in. There was a hiccup with the dress I picked at the dry cleaners and BB pulled out all the stops to fix the dress the best the could or allow me to find another dress if all options were exhausted. I cannot express how grateful I am to them for everything they did ! They are worth the drive if you're in SLC like I was at the time and their prices for rentals are fair ! My daughter had a great experience here. Abbie was patient and helpful. They have hundreds of beautiful designer gowns in all sizes. Every where else we looked was going to be well over $1,000 to get a dress she liked. We found a very close match to what she was looking for at half of what she would have paid for a new gown and that included the cleaning fee, alteration, sash and veil! She was considering ordering a dress on line to save money but you never know if it will fit. You can try on the dresses they have in your size and know that it will fit. When I thought about having to purchase a dress I was very uneasy about it - yeah I wanted to get married in a beautiful gown but I didn't want to have to worry about the cost or what I would have to do with it after the wedding. I came across Bridal Brilliance rentals when searching for bridal shops in SLC and I was immediately intrigued. I packed up my girls and we drove nearly an hour and a half for my appointment. When I got there they were so helpful and let me and my mom take our time looking through the dresses on the hangers. After I selected a few to try on the attendant was so good at making me feel comfortable and letting me take my time in each dress. She showed me belts, veils, sashes, etc to help me see if each dress was the right one. On the third dress I tried on I knew it was the one, we all knew it was the one. We never had any problem with the reservations, fitting appointments, pickup/drop off, etc. They were a dream to work with and it was by far one of the best choices about my wedding. I highly recommend Bridal Brilliance to anyone that is getting married. Who could pass up a designer gown for a fraction of the cost! read more

Maddy helped me while I was there and she was so fun. She was also really knowledgeable which was helpful for me, since I wasn't yet sure what I was looking for. I wanted to update from my last review. Initially I loved this place. They do have nice gowns. But after my first try on when I paid for the dress, and went back for my second fitting they changed their tune. The dress I reserved was too loose through the waist- when I tried it on I was assured they would alter it and they pinned it back to show me- I loved it! When I went to the second fitting the girl said they can't alter dresses and that I wouldn't be able to get it anymore fitted. It was too late to find another dress and I couldn't get my money back anyway! I love the dress, but my wedding was ruined because it was too big. The dress was so loose through the waist it actually created a pouch of fabric and it made me look 20 lbs heavier in my wedding pictures. I hate all of my pictures and I cried when I saw how bad the dress looked. Unless your dress fits perfectly without being pinned do NOT get a dress here. read more

I rented my wedding dress here and my experience when looking for the dress was good and their selection was good but when it came time for me to pick up the dress for my bridal pictures they called me Monday late afternoon while I was getting my hair done and said I need to pick up my dress. I am in Salt Lake and the dress shop is in Layton I told her I had to pick up my dress Tuesday because I was getting my hair done. She said they are closed on Tuesdays and I would have to come Monday or Wednesday. My pictures were Wed. morning and I wouldn't have been able to make it up there before they closed on Monday. I told her no one had ever told me they are closed on Tuesdays. She said "Well you should have asked if we were closed on Tuesdays and you should have known" She was very rude and unhelpful. Finally I had to start asking for a manager or owner to help me and after I did that she finally agreed to stay a little later Monday so I could get up there to get the dress. When I finally got home with the dress there were metal hooks attached to the front of it that weren't supposed to be there and we had to photoshop them out of the pictures.
