The nail lady was so sweet and patient with me as I tried to figure out what color I wanted, unfortunately they did not have an opaque lilac so I went with this muted/sheer purple. Another thing i would dock stars off for was that she accidentally cut my cuticle so it stung when she put on polish. My finger was also resting on the nail Polish bottle, which ended up transferring onto my skin. She removed it but I don't think it should've happened in the first place. Despite this being my first time here, I wouldn't go back given my high standards with manicures. EDIT: my nails have chipped and it's only been 8 days. I'd expect a solid manicure to last at least 2 weeks.

I came in the other day to get a mani pedi. When I picked out my polish, the polish was dried out and expired, so they unfortunately ask me to pick another color. No big deal, I found something similar. During my pedicure, I noticed my nail tech was putting in very minimal effort. She did not clean underneath my toenails, did not push back or trim my cuticles, and gave a very poor massage during the massage portion. Move forward to the manicure, I asked for clear polish. Simple, clean, but I still paid for a full manicure. Not a single cuticle was pushed back, the sides of my fingernails still have dead, dry skin, the shape of my fingernails are not symmetrical. I asked for square. And the manicure service was only about 10 minutes. Despite doing clear polish, I still expect my nails to look nice by the end of things. I can do better at home. 53$ for all of this was not worth it. The people were nice, but that's about it.

Absolutely obsessed with this place...you HAVE to go. I just moved to Chicago and have been looking for a nail salon in Lake View, and let me tell you, this is the place. A dip + tips manicure is $60 and they do a fantastic job. The design, dip color, shape... everything is flawless. 100% worth the price. The place is adorable as well with great lighting and tv to entertain. Check it out ASAP!!

Great spot to get nails done! I have gotten a pedicure and dip manicure here and both services were timely and done extremely well! Lots of colors to choose from which is is always a plus. I also had my eye brows done and she did a great job cleaning them up and not ruining the shape I've been working on for years. Highly recommend this place and do encourage you to call ahead of time as they are so busy sometimes it may be hard for them to take a walk in

The owner is always around and truly cares about her costumers. Ariana is amazing and helped me to FINALLY grow my real nails out! 10/10

Had an appointment with the owner. She was running late, no problem until she thought she'd rush my service to make up her lost time. Nails were uneven, jagged, cuticles a mess. Made her reshape them and she did a bit. Polish was thick and globbed on in 3 coats making a total mess. Polish all over sides of nails, cuticles. She did not clean them up or try to give clean lines as every other manicure in the place had. She then globbed on more top coat making it a total mess. It was so thick she made me dry under a dryer for 10-15 minutes. Everyone else dried for 5 minutes. I like to support local shops but this was the worst manicure I've ever had. A refund so definitely warranted and I will never go back again. Upon calling there I learned that while I booked with the owner, the owner did not even do my service. She passed it to a nail tech instead of honoring the appointment request. Beyond irritated with this whole service and business.

I made an appointment ahead of time and was able to sit right away. Everyone was so friendly and they did such a great job! She asked to make sure I was ok with her trimming my cuticles, asked if I liked the shape of my nail, color, etc before moving on. She really paid attention to detail! I'm almost 2 weeks in and my nails still look great! First pic is day I got them done, 2nd pic is today (almost 2 weeks later). I will definitely be a regular now!

Very clean and modern nail salon. I see them always sweeping and cleaning. They have beautiful exposed brick and a white and grey theme giving it this modern look. The staff is nice and accommodating, they sat me right away when doing a walk in appointment. They're not super chatty which provides a relaxing atmosphere. The music is top 50s mostly and they always play the music video on the tv. I also love that their colors are grouped (reds, purples/blues, pinks, browns, etc.) this makes it feel very organized.

I got a gel manicure for about $40. They did a good job, the place was very clean. The nail tech did cut my cuticle once but was very apologetic and took proper care of the wound. I'd go again. This picture is one week of growth.

Not a good dip powder manicure at all. I wanted my cuticles cut, didn't happen. The dip was uneven after being buffed. 4 days after my nails literally chipped and broke off. I have never had dip last less than 1 week until this place. Once people walked in my manicurist started hurrying and did not take her time to make sure it was done properly. It is not worth $45 and really wish the manager would have done something about it.

Wanted to love this place, as it's super conveniently located for me. Gel manicure & pedicure were extremely sub-par - left some old toenail polish still on, hardly scrubbed feet, and took a good chunk out of my left big toenail that led to bleeding for 10 min. Sloppy polish on sides of toes, some nails not even fully painted, and very uneven layers of the no-chip manicure. Not sure if it was just the technician but have had much better experiences at other salons in the area.

My best friend took me to Blink & Polish for gel manicures for my birthday and it was such a treat! The space is very simple and clean, and they had a nice selection of colors to choose from. I went with a really pretty dark brown that I loved! The woman doing the manicure was very detailed on the nail prep before doing the gel polish which I really appreciate -- my cuticles have never looked better!! The manicure turned out great, though I do already have some chipping (only 8 days out), so that is something to keep in mind. read more

Got a dazzle dry manicure here and it was amazing! Hadn't gotten a manicure in so long so I felt so clean after. Love the dazzle dry because it lasts longer than a normal manicure, but you can take it off at home and it doesn't ruin your nails after! read more

This used to be a go-to salon, but sadly, I won't be returning after multiple issues. During my most recent visit, I had my eyebrows waxed and was left with painful burns that took nearly a week to heal. This had occurred with the same (and seemingly only) eyebrow technician and I had hoped was a fluke scenario. I have never had any sensitivity issues with waxing in the past. Their waxer I had used previously, Regan, was fantastic and I never had any issues. Beyond that, I've had several disappointing experiences with rushed services and poor-quality manicures and pedicures. Unfortunately, this salon no longer meets basic standards of quality. read more

Used to live right down the street and was a regular! Took a break and stopped in today for a pedicure. I don't think I've had my nails done in a year. The staff still remembered me :) I've always had great experiences here except for maybe one technician that was a bit rougher than the others--didn't see her today. Love the color selections and the clean, sleek feeling of the salon. It's worth the commute for me from River North if I've got the time. I've had nails done elsewhere in the city and am always disappointed compared to what I get here. Prices have increased a bit over the years, but what hasn't? read more

I was in Blink and Polish a few weeks ago, right after they opened back up. I called to make an appointment and the owner was very kind and helpful. Coming into the salon I was impressed with all of the precautions that were taken in the midst of COVID-19. Everyone was required to wear a mask, my temperature was taken, they gave me hand sanitizer, and there were shields between the pedicure chairs and at the manicure stations. Cute salon, professional and fun staff, clean environment. Blink and Polish is an 11/10 in my book! Also, my dip downer manicure has lasted almost four weeks with no chipping or peaking away at the top! Amazing! Pedicure was great as well. Best salon in Lakeview! read more

My cuticles looked worse than when I walk in there and my first nail chipped off within 48 hrs, followed by 3 more within the week. I was rushed out of there as the technician started working on someone else before I was finished. She also filed into my fingers. I was trying to treat myself for my birthday so I was just really disappointed when this happened. read more

I went here a few months ago with a friend for a spontaneous Mani/Pedi. We went right as they opened and they were able to accommodate us quickly. I felt very welcomed and accepted. This place was friendly and open to both men and women. I got a no-chip manicure with polish that changes color in different temperatures. My manicure lasted a long time about two or three weeks before the white began to look dirty and needed to be taken off. The pedicure didn't chip for over a month at least. The prices were decent and affordable. They have some cash deals, but they only save about $2-3 so I chose to pay with card. I think this place is BYOB and I would definitely go again! read more

Beautiful place and the no chip manicure was spot on! Linh helped me with the right color choice and did an excellent job on filing my nails to a nice almond shape. The place is airy and they have protective measures to keep the place safe and germ free. I will definitely be returning soon. read more

This salon is great, fast, and clean. They're one of few salons with Dazzle Dry, as well as no chip and dip, so everyone can get what they're looking for. Really affordable compared to other salons I've been to, though I've never gotten a fancier manicure from there, just a basic manicure. read more

I really needed my nails done, so I called Blink. Lynn was able to get me in ASAP, and listened to exactly what I wanted. She's very gently, took her time and I have amazing results. I got the dip on my natural nails, so sturdy and look so natural I'm really happy with the results. Will definitely be back. Nails + pedi + wax = 20% off! What a deal!!! read more

So happy that I stumbled upon this new little neighborhood gem. Brand new salon as of one week ago! The owner was very nice, and did a great job on my pedicure and no chip dip! Prices are very reasonable as well(bonus 20% off through the end of March!)They specialize in natural nails-which means no smell from the acrylics! Manicures, pedicures and no chip. I went in for a no chip manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was streaky and parts of my nails were left without polish. The manicure was probably worse, as it completely peeled off multiple fingers within a week. My cuticles were treated somewhat roughly, leaving one bleeding. Really disappointed in the lack of quality for the price. read more

I have been going here for awhile. Everyone is always so nice and the place is clean. It is pretty easy to get in when I want an appointment. They are a great help when I have trouble making a decision on the color. I have been happy with the no-chip - it has always lasted a long time and am currently trying the dazzle dry. I really really wanted to love this place since I live right across the street, but sadly, I will not be returning. The staff was not welcoming or friendly so that was a turn off from the start. I had dip on my nails from my old place and the lady doing my nails (Linn) did not fully remove that dip before applying her dip polish. I thought that was weird and asked if that would affect how long my nails lasted...she said it would not. I left the salon liking my nails but not loving them. Then, just five days later, my nails started breaking off. Five days. I paid $60 for the manicure I believe. Very disappointing. Save yourself time and money and don't go here. read more

I love this place!! The ladies are all great. They give absolutely perfect no chip manicures that last more than 2 weeks. And the owner is super nice and makes sure every client leaves happy with their service. I am picky when it comes to my nails and I have never left not happy. I would definitely recommend. read more
