My newly found place that will be my regular! My hands were chapped and dry, cuticles peeling, nails horrible. After my visit my hands look like lady's hands! I had paraffin gel treatment and, you know, it works! Cuticles were gently removed, nails buffed and polished. I am a horrible nail biter and I always pick my nail polish off, even no chip. So I usually don't bother getting no chip manicures cause they're no match against my nail picking. I decided to take a chance on a new nail salon for a wedding and it's the best no chip I've ever gotten! The woman who did my nails really took her time to make sure it was done well. My nails still look perfect a week later and this may be the first time ever that I'm not able to pick them off myself! I also got a regular pedicure which turned out well. Everyone working there was extremely friendly. They had Friends playing the whole time which I think is a nice tough. There was a bit of a wait at the time I went but they were really apologetic about it. BONUS: Their regular pedicure/no chip manicure combo is $63 which is the least expensive out of all the other nail salons I checked in the area. I was there last week. The appointment for a spa pedicure and mani took 3 hours which was unexpected, unnecessary and annoying. The spa pedicure isn't worth it and took far too much time. A bunch of random creams applied and taken off with little effect, a plastic bag of hot wax kept on for about 5 min that just felt weird. When we finally got to the manicure, it had already been two hours! There were people waiting and no one to help them which felt awkward. During the manicure my cuticles started bleeding on two nails because of excessive trimming. I get gel nails about once every 3-4 weeks and this has never happened before. The person doing my nails was rightfully concerned but then did a horrible job applying the polish. She didn't go over the nail edge, didn't put on enough coats and didn't paint the full nail. After 3 days one nail started chipping from the top. Now after a week that same nail looks even worse and I can tell that others are getting loose from the bottom. I always look forward to getting my nails done here. It has a great vibe and is super relaxing. The salon itself is very bright and clean. Location is good with a lot of metered street parking and some residential parking you can use (just make sure to check the signs for what times are okay!) Nelly has been doing my nails for over two years now and Lily did my nails for my wedding this past May. Both pay incredible attention to detail. I get my no chip done very three weeks, but I've waited 4 weeks in the past and my nails still looked really good with almost no chips or breakage. I can't recommend this salon enough- Armitage Nails is definitely one of the best salons in the city! read more

It's only been 5-6 days, but both are still flawless and I'm not careful with my hands. Definitely one of the top 2 nail experiences I've had in Chicago. The one con is that although I was seen on time, both services together took about 2 hours. So definitely make sure to give yourself extra time if you go here. I called Armitage Nails and explained what I needed. Nelli said YES I can file off your polish by hand and reapply new polish. Not only did she do an amazing job she trimmed the cuticles gently, put on an extra coat of polish, gave me a hand massage and a hot towel wrap. She was very professional and sweet. I just starting coming to armitage nails right when it reopened, and I love this nail salon. They are so meticulous when doing your nails and always make sure each nail is perfect. I have been to other salons that tend to leave clear coat on my skin and not wipe it off, but armitage nails makes sure there is no polish ever left on my skin which I really appreciate. The ambiance is nice too and when I have been it's never been too crowded where I am not able to get a service done.
