If you're looking for a cheap or fast acrylic nail set or fill, this isn't the place for you. If you want *perfect* nails, go to Sandy at Lu's! I am super picky about how my nails look and how long they last. Sandy's acrylic nails last 2 weeks (probably longer, but I like to go back at 2 weeks) without a hint of lifting and somehow the shape and polish still look amazing. This place is great :) I went here to get a pedi for my vacation and they did such an amazing job! The ladies here are so kind and patient, they remembered my name the whole time I was there which is just a really nice thing to do! It's cash only, which I didn't know so I had to run down to Walgreen's right at closing to get cash, and they couldn't have been nicer about it. The lady who did my nails also really took her time cleaning up my feet and even gave me tips to avoid getting ingrown nails. Love it! Definitely go here, its way better than all the other spots along Broadway :) read more

I called Saturday morning to make an appointment for Sunday afternoon. When I arrived on Sunday they said my appointment was yesterday and they waited for me. They had my phone number, so why didn't they call when I didn't show up Saturday? I get that mistakes happen but all I got was a lame apology and no offer to make it up to me. read more

Best pedi ever. The service is fantastic, finally I found a place in Chicago were I can get more than a foot rub for a pedi. The place itself is not fancy at all. Everything is a little outdated, no fancy machines or products BUT they will do an amazing job. The color selection is limited too, so I just thought of bringing my own nail polish.. I will definitely not go anywhere but here. I feel like I wasted way too much money in other places before, so I don't mind paying more now for service I really like. read more

Definitely the BEST mani/pedi I've ever had! Lu's is so far and above what I have found elsewhere (this was my regular salon until I moved to the East coast), I schedule an appointment here every time I return to the area. They are truly gifted, and I always leave the salon with perfect nails (including cuticles, often neglected in other salons). Agree that it's a tad pricey though totally worth it! read more

I discovered Lu's Nail Boutique 6 years ago and I will never go to a different salon again. They are amazingly skilled. I have seen dozens of manicurists in my life (here and in other countries), and most are mediocre and/or careless. I've never received a better mani/pedi than here. There are two manicurists, Sandy and Ling, both of them 5-star experts. I usually go to Ling. She takes her time and knows how to cure a problem nail; I consider her as good as a licensed podiatrist. She is gentle and thorough, does a beautiful job, and always ends the session with an excellent, comforting massage to hand and foot. They are THE BEST. read more

My manicure lasts just about ass long as a no chip or shellac manicure, but is just regular ole OPI polish! The place isn't the best looks wise and they don't accept credit cards, but the ladies are nice, accommodating, respectful, and do amazing work! You'll be amazed at the quality. read more

When I moved into Chicago, I was having a hard time finding a good person to work on acrylic/gel nails. I went to Sandy on a recommendation and I'm glad that I did. It's been 3 years and I'm still very happy with my nails. She uses the white gel powder and you don't have put your hands under the lights at all for them to last 3-4 weeks. I also love the pedicures that I've gotten there too. Sandy's schedule can be really packed so call ahead a couple of days before you need something done to get on her schedule. They do take walk-ins though but people who are scheduled come first. read more
